These are not the X-Men you've seen on screen before! 'The New Mutants' introduces a squad of super-powered teens, including Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair, Blu Hunt as Dani Moonstar, Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa, and Alice Braga as their mentor, Dr. Reyes, and this cast introduces us to their characters. Plus, writer/director Josh Boone gives us a playlist of his cinematic inspirations for 'The New Mutants' (2020), including 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors' (1987) and the Alfred Hitchcock classic, 'Psycho' (1960).

Joshua Boone is an American filmmaker and producer from Virginia Beach. He directed The Fault in Our Stars, Stuck in Love and The New Mutants, a horror themed spin-off of the X-Men films. Had Disney not bought Fox, Boone would have made New Mutants sequels. He also created the miniseries The Stand.
