Writers Guild Awards 2023
A two-time WGA Award-winning, one-time Taco Bell Sauce Packet Slogan Contest-winning writer, Joe Strazzullo was born and raised in San Bruno, California. Though daunting being from the same town as Suzanne Somers, Joe was determined to break free from the ThighMaster's shadow.

After graduating from USC in 2000, Joe pursued a career in Late Night Television, landing a staff writer job on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

During his tenure at The Late Late Show, Joe wrote dozens of sketches for Betty White, and helped her launch her own hidden camera show "Off Their Rockers."

Joe has written for over 3000 episodes of late-night television. While at The Late Late Show, Joe formed a creative partnership with comedy royalty Tim Meadows. Tim and Joe have active projects in development.

Joe followed with a successful stint as a staff writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he was nominated for four WGA awards, winning once.

Additionally, Joe has written for The Oscars, Emmys, the MTV Movie Awards, the NBA Awards, White House Correspondents' Dinner, the People's Choice Awards, The Mark Twain Awards, The VES Awards and the AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Joe's work was recently seen on season 5 of Inside Amy Schumer, for which he won his second WGA Award.

In 2023 Joe helped Netflix break into live television with their pre-show for the Chris Rock Netflix special "Selective Outrage."

Industry peers have commented that Joe has nice glasses and is younger than expected. Joe currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Kelly and their son Michelangelo (100% named after the Ninja Turtle).
