Ben O'Brien has over 25 years experience in the film and television industry. Joining Industrial Light & Magic in 2004 as a Flame Artist in the Saber Department he moved on to becoming a Sequence Lead and is now a Compositing Supervisor . Working on franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, and Transformers.
Ben has won multiple awards and been nominated numerous times for his work on Avatar, Star Trek Into Darkness, Transformers, Noah , The Irishman and recently The Creator.
Prior to ILM Ben worked as a Flame Artist in a post production house Omnilab in Sydney, Australia working with Advertising Agencies and Directors on commercials.
Ben's education is in Fine Arts and Graphic Design which he studied at Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE which he studied from 1995 to 1998.
Ben lives in the Bay Area in Northern California with his family.
