Christopher William Cashman was born in San Diego, California, to Patricia Rose Devine and Paul Vincent Cashman, both were public school teachers. His parents were originally from Boston, Massachusetts.
Chris got his start in filmmaking when he was 15 years old by producing short video parodies for the "Morning Announcements" at St. Augustine High School. Cashman is a graduate of Villanova University where he studied Film, Theater and Communication Arts. Chris started his career in the film industry as an actor and working as Will Ferrell's Stunt Double and Photo Double in such films as "Anchorman," "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Kicking and Screaming." He doesn't claim he's a stuntman but looks at working on those professional sets as an educational experience that showed him firsthand (literally) the process of filmmaking. And it also opened up the opportunity to write, produce and direct his first feature film "Carts" starring Mo Collins ("MadTV") and Ted Lange ("The Love Boat").
Cashman has produced the award-winning feature films; "A Life Lived" (starring Denise Richards and Jennifer Taylor) released on Amazon, the Emmy nominated soccer documentary "Club Frontera" released on Lionsgate, Fox Mexico and Fox 5 San Diego, "San Diego's Gay Bar History" the Emmy nominated documentary released on PBS, "Xolos: Tijuana's Team" released on Fox Sports Network: FS1, FS2, Fox Deportes and "To Hell and Gone" which was distributed by Gravitas Ventures on multiple streaming services.
Chris married Lisa Marie Ricci on September 7, 2002. They have two daughters: Jordana Rose Cashman and Audrey Elizabeth Cashman where they all live in San Diego, California.
