Carlos Zozaya is an independent feature film producer with a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. As a producer, Carlos has helmed "Tyrel" (Dir. Sebastián Silva - 2018 Sundance Film Festival / Magnolia Pictures), "Aviva", (Dir. Boaz Yakin - 2020 SXSW Film Festival - Outsider Pictures/Strand Releasing) and "We're All Going to the World's Fair" (Dir. Jane Schoenbrun - Sundance Film Festival, 2021 - Utopia / HBO Max). The latter of which went on to earn two Gotham Award nominations in 2022.
Carlos' upcoming projects include "Tendaberry" (Dir. Haley Elizabeth Anderson - Flies Collective, Dweck Productions, Neon Heart Productions), "Broken Theater" (Dir. Bobbi Jene Smith - Mad Gene Media / Dweck Productions) and "Gasoline Rainbow", a road trip feature film directed by Bill & Turner Ross that premiered to great acclaim at the 80th Venice Film Festival. MUBI will release the film theatrically in 2024.
In 2018 he was selected as a Gotham fellow for the IFFR Producer's Lab in Rotterdam and in 2023 as a Gotham fellow for the 2023 Cannes Producers Network. Carlos was raised in Mexico City and now resides in Brooklyn, New York.
