Cheryl Burke was the longest-running female Dancing with the Stars pro. However, despite her longevity and success on the series, Burke once believed she was “too fat for TV.”
Cheryl Burke felt negative about her body as a ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro
Throughout her Dancing with the Stars career, Cheryl Burke felt she looked different than her other female pros. She compared her body to others whom she believed were thinner.
During an appearance on the Amy & Tj Podcast, Burke admits she has body dysmorphia. She believes appearing on the show added to the negative feelings she already had about her body.
“As far as wearing one of the outfits, I would probably get on some, I don’t know, some sort of strict diet,” Burke said of the possibility of ever appearing on the series again.
“But that’s my body dysmorphia that I’ll forever have … I’m very open with that,...

In a time when the most famous composers in England were -- for example, Handel, and J.C. Bach -- relocated Germans, William Boyce (1711-1779) was arguably the premiere English-born composer. In 1736 the former choirboy turned organist (he studied with Maurice Greene at St. Paul's Cathedral) was named composer to the Chapel Royal; in 1759 he was made Master of the King's Musick. By 1769 deafness had largely ended his official musical duties.
One of those duties was to provide music for church services (he was also, from 1736 to 1768, organist at St. Michael's in Cornhill). He not only composed a considerable amount of sacred music, he also compiled the three-volume collection Cathedral Music, which preserved a vast array of sacred music by earlier English composers.
Boyce also frequently wrote music for specific royal occasions: holidays, the King's birthday, etc. He was also an active composer for the theater. In 1760, he published the...

After 10 seasons on Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke still experiences firsts. "This season is the first time, I have to say, that I know all the celebrities," she tells TVGuide.com. "I didn't have to Google anyone!" Burke has had to brush up on the majority of her partners — including former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Chad Ochocinco, Emmitt Smith, Maurice Greene — save for Ian Ziering, Wayne Newton, and now, basketball star-turned-actor Rick Fox. "I knew who Rick Fox was. Aren't you proud of me?" Burke says. But the Dancing pro has bigger things to worry about this season than her partner's resume.

I realize this headline could apply to any episode of Dancing With the Stars -- but this time the hard-bodied dance pros' signature near-nudity is for a print-based cause. Luckily, there is also video. Four former Dancing With the Stars couples are featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue -- Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke, Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya (pictured), Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower, and Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. Sadly, the ripped-for-her-pleasure Alec Mazo/Natalie Coughlin Speedo pictorials are nowhere to be found. Watching the Si.com videos, I couldn't decide which was weirder: that the pros...

Lil' Kim has always been on top of the game but after the Monday, May 4 performance, she was let go from "Dancing with the Stars". Receiving only 52 out of 60 from the judges, Kim and her partner Derek Hough were bound to be in the bottom list along with Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower. But audience apparently were rooting for the rodeo star.
"She's an amazing person, an amazing soul, an amazing spirit and an amazing dancer," Hough said of Kim. The star herself was high in spirit although eliminated. She said, "This is one of the greatest experiences I've ever experienced in my life. I think I brought different viewers."
The result was read on Tuesday, May 5 where Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani brought an encore of their perfect 30 Samba. There was also the jazzy performance from Jamie Cullum that serenaded the quickstep of Agnieszka Kazmierczak and Urs Gaisenhainer.

The heat is on with only five couples left on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Performing a grueling two new dances this evening -- including a 15-second solo dance – the competition was fierce on the dance floor once again. Get your recap here! "Hannah Montana" star Cody Lindley and his substitute partner Edyta Sliwinska were the first out of the gate with a fun Foxtrot which caught the judges by surprise. "Sophisticated, elegant -- your most grown-up performance yet," said Bruno Tonioli, who delivered a score of 8. "I was pleasantly surprised," agreed Len Goodman, who also gave an 8. "I thought you came out and did a really top-notch job." Carrie Anne Inaba was also pleased, but deducted a technical point from their score because Edyta's foot came up off the floor. Tough! With another 8, the couple had a total of 24. In their second dance, Cody and Edyta took on the Mambo to slightly less enthusiasm.

After Cloris Leachman, another veteran actress Susan Lucci has been eliminated from ABC's popular dancing competition, "Dancing with the Stars". November 4 announcement has resulted in the lowest score for Lucci and her professional partner, Tony Dovolani.
Through the November 3 cha-cha performance, the "All My Children" star only received 24 out of 30 score from the judges. Combined with the viewers' vote, the total score can't save the pair to stay on the "Dancing" floor.

Veteran actress, Cloris Leachman, has done her final dance on Monday, October 27 on "Dancing with the Stars". Her cha cha cha and group hip-hop dances could not make her to get another shake in the competition.
Leachman's total score announcement on Tuesday, October 28, gives her and the partner, Corky Ballas, the lowest score among the other pairs. Leachman who usually gets standing ovation after dancing and always receives compliments for her ability to dance in her age, now only received 15 out of 30 score from the judges.

R&B singer, Toni Braxton, has been eliminated from ABC's popular dancing competition, "Dancing with the Stars", after the total score announcement on Tuesday, October 21. With her professional partner, Alec Mazo, they received the lowest total score both by the judges and the audience voters.
On Monday appearance, the pair were dancing West Coast swing with a little moonwalk variation which did not get any impressions from the judges who only gave them a score of 22 out of 30. Although the judges score has been added to viewers' votes, it could not survive the pair from walking out of the stage.
One of the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba told Braxton, "Breakthrough was just around the corner, but if it is, it won't be on 'Dancing With the Stars'."
After the announcement, Braxton confessed that she was feeling disappointed towards the score, but she said, "My goal was reached, I wanted to do better.

Latest: Socialite Kim Kardashian has assured fans her recent hospitalisation for a foot injury will not halt her appearance on forthcoming U.S. reality TV show Dancing With The Stars.
Kardashian was reportedly admitted to New York Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday night after slicing her foot on a glass coffee table in her hotel room.
But the star is determined to keep up with the gruelling rehearsals that lie ahead for the show, despite her bloody debacle.
She says: "You know what, I will be able to dance. I will make it. I did cut my foot pretty badly in the hotel room last night.
"There was a mirror on a Venetian little desk and it was all broken and I saw it and I almost cut my finger, so to push away from it I used my foot ... because it just looked really bad... So I did hurt myself but it was fine. I went to the hospital, I'm fine.
And Kardashian insists she's already bearing the pain on her road to recovery, adding: "I have to wear heels all day long today and if you saw my room - it looks like a murder scene with all the blood everywhere."
Kardashian is set for stiff competition on the show which is scheduled to air on U.S. TV on 22 September.
Her co-stars will include: singers Toni Braxton and Lance Bass, chef Rocco Dispirito, U.S. Olympians Misty May-Treanor and Maurice Greene, actors Cody Linley, Cloris Leachman, Ted McGinley and Susan Lucci, American footballer Warren Sapp, TV host Brooke Burke and Hollywood producer Jeffrey Ross.
