Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 13, Episode 12 of “The Masked Singer,” “Semi-Finals Night,” which aired April 30 on Fox.
The case of Detective Lucky Duck was finally quacked on Wednesday’s episode of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” Taika Waititi was the latest celebrity to be revealed on Season 13 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” playing the mysterious character that had popped up all season long on the show to share clues about the competition’s costumed contestants.
Lucky Duck appeared at the end of this week’s semi-finals episode, and instead of letting the show’s panelists guess his identity, he unmasked himself. And it was a familiar face for one of the show’s panelists: Waititi is husband to the show’s Rita Ora.
“Semi-Finals Night” brought together the final five contestants standing: Group A’s Coral, Group B’s Pearl and Boogie Woogie and Group C’s Mad Scientist Monster.

For Bat, no one got it right — although everyone was in the reality TV arena. Robin Thicke said Bethanny Frankel. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg went with Larsa Pippen. Rita Ora named Heidi Montag at first, then went with Frankel as well. Ken Jeong thought it was Lisa Rinna.
Shay sang “Espresso,” by Sabrina Carpenter, for her performance. “I’m becoming Bat because I’m a creature of the night, and a bit of a bat-ass,” she said in her clue package. “Like bats, I’m one of the most misunderstood creatures ever.

In my 45 years on Earth, I’ve never seen a person place this order at a restaurant.
Flavor Flav is at the Millennium Hilton near the United Nations in New York the day before Thanksgiving. He’s in town to catch the Macy’s parade with his family and attend to some business before taking off in a few days. The breakfast menu has the requisite overpriced steel-cut oatmeal and full American breakfast, but Flav’s order is simpler, and weirder: A glass of milk and a glass of orange juice,...

After a handful of appearances as Guy Fieri on Weekend Update, Bobby Moynihan took the impression to a whole new level on a December 2013 episode of SNL. The pre-taped fake Food Network promo began with Moynihan’s Fieri cackling like a madman while promoting “Guy Fieri’s Full Throttle Christmas Special,” co-hosted by Kid Rock (Brooks Wheelan), who enters via chimney.
Fieri/Moynihan then goes on to name-drop an insane parade of early 2010s reality TV personalities as the special’s guest stars — Criss Angel, Bret Michaels, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Big Ang from Mob Wives, the casts of Duck Dynasty and Pawn Stars — as well as, for no reason whatsoever, Verne Troyer and Mimi from The Drew Carey Show.
The promo also features the most insane Guy Fieri-like Christmas recipes imaginable, such as a stocking filled with bean dip and “Straight Cake” — as opposed to fruit cake — made from bacon and Matchbox cars.

Seth Meyers welcomed as a guest one of the first writers ever hired on “Late Night” on Tuesday, and if you know anything about Conner O’Malley, the interview was as blissfully strange as expected.
A comedian and writer who has appeared in films like “Palm Springs” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and shows like “Joe Pera Talks With You” and “I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson,” O’Malley carved out a niche of what one might reasonably call “insane” comedy with short and long-form videos on YouTube. His missives are essentially dark web-adjacent as he often films himself traipsing around New York City with hilariously seedy screeds.
So it comes as no surprise that A. He did not disappoint when he sat down with Meyers on Tuesday and B. Meyers was delighted to indulge O’Malley’s twisted sense of humor.

After the dark comedy Come to Daddy, New Zealand director Ant Timpson travels back to his home country with lead actor Elijah Wood for Bookworm, an adventure designed for all ages. In his introduction at the opening of Montreal’s Fantasia Film Festival, Timpson cited 1970s family movies as an inspiration and admitted he wanted nothing more than to make a good, entertaining time for audiences. That aim is apparent in every moment of Bookworm, whose odd-couple pairing of an estranged father and his precocious daughter on a camping trip gone wrong feels engineered to be a broad crowd-pleaser. But Timpson, along with co-writer Toby Harvard, prefer to take the easy way for achieving their goals, the film leaning into dated comedy and a relentless charm offensive that makes its efforts too strained to fully embrace.

Peanuts comic strips have referenced a variety of famous figures, including athletes, magicians, and activists. Some notable people mentioned include Doug Henning, Beethoven, Billie Jean King, Claude Monet, and Fred Astaire. The comics also feature famous individuals like George Washington, Babe Ruth, Farrah Fawcett, Elton John, and Martin Luther King Jr.
Peanuts has a tried and true cast and has usually stayed pretty close to its core members throughout its history. However, there were still references to others in the comic strip's run, with famous people being name-dropped from time to time. While some who were referenced were famous for a certain period of time and then dissipated from the public eye, others have been household names for decades. Overall, there have been many interesting people noted in the classic comics property.

Bob and I started spending more time in Detroit, his hometown. We had our big family wedding there, where Bob Seger and Hank Williams Jr. sang for us. Our life in Detroit was full of music. I took for granted all those nights with Hank, Zz Top, Uncle Kracker, Eminem, and Bob’s band. To be around such talent was inspiring. It was a true rock-and-roll lifestyle, gritty and soulful. Detroit had an energy all its own.

It’s all change at The CW after the youth-skewing broadcaster unveiled its fall 2022/23 schedule.
It will be a transitional year for the network, which downsized the number of original series that airs, and this is reflected in its schedule.
The big headlines include the final season of Riverdale is moving to midseason along with its Tuesday night sibling The Flash and will be replaced by new series Supernatural prequel The Winchesters and international acquisition Professionals. Nancy Drew is also moving out of the fall, where it has aired on Friday nights, also shifting to midseason.
The third season of Stargirl will move out of the summer and will be placed on Wednesdays in the fall alongside Kung Fu, which had previously aired in midseason.
Franchise nights include a double header all All American and its All American: Homecoming spinoff on Mondays and Walker and spinoff Walker Independence on Thursdays.

It's official; the Blue Team sucked so bad that Ramsay went ahead and mix-n-matched the teams.
We knew it was coming, and by the end of Hell's Kitchen Season 20 Episode 4, Ramsay disrupted the gendered teams.
Now it'll be harder to determine who's the weakest link, and the guys can have a shot at making it to the end of the competition, riding on some of the girls' coattails.
It needed to happen; if we had to watch another installment of the boys getting creamed by the girls and serving raw food, it wouldn't have been worth the while watching the rest of the season.
What the hour did showcase was some of the cracks in the Og Red team's unit. It's unfortunate that the one time they did eff up a service, they were right down in the bottom with the Three-time Losers in Blue.
Their errors weren't even comparable...

Illusionists sometimes rely on forced perspective to carry off a trick. Ben Berman’s meandering tragi-comic documentary The Amazing Johnathan could do with some perspective of its own.
In the world of stand-up John Szeles – The Amazing Johnathan – was huge. His jaw-dropping act combined sleight of hand with hardcore gore, to deliciously gross effect and from the mid-’80s until his last shows in 2014 he made fans of industry professionals alongside the comedy club crowds and Vegas audiences he entertained.
Director Ben Berman capitalises on this fanbase early on in his film when he interviews Penn Jillette, Criss Angel, Judy Gold and Eric André (among others) lauding Szeles’ skills and pondering his legacy (he amusingly returns to them later in the film with questions of another kind). Because The Amazing Johnathan is dying – handed a death sentence diagnosis of cardiomyopathy complete with a one-year countdown clock – and has withdrawn from showbiz.

With some considerable help from Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Broadway box office held steady during the Fourth of July holiday week, even with two fewer shows on board than the previous week. Down a small 5%, total receipts for the 33 productions tallied to $34,108,643 for Broadway’s Week 6 (ending July 7).
A solid $1,331,046 of that total came from Moulin, Sro at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where the musical played only five previews to allow for rehearsals. The show now shifts to a seven-performance schedule until the July 25 opening night, when it begins the standard eight-per-week.
Total attendance for the 33 shows was 288,107, a barely noticeable 3% slip from the previous week, when 35 productions reported figures. More shows than not reported box office slips from the previous week, competition with fireworks being what it is.
As with the previous week, director Alex Timbers’ adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 hit movie was among the hottest tickets on Broadway.

Just when you thought the four judges on “The Masked Singer” couldn’t say anything dumber, Jenny McCarthy opened her mouth on the quarter-final on February 13. She thought that the Rabbit was her husband Donnie Wahlberg. Sure, Jenny – Donnie kept it secret from you that he was flying back and forth from the “Blue Bloods” location in New York to appear on this show in Los Angeles.
Over the first six episodes, Jenny had made some pretty wild guesses. But this one was the “winner” in our eyes. Her three fellow panelists –actor Ken Jeong, singer Nicole Scherzinger and singer/songwriter Robin Thicke — have been equally obtuse at times. Ken couldn’t figure out that his one-time co-star Margaret Cho was hidden inside the Poodle costume. Robin insisted that boxer Sugar Ray Leonard just had to be someone, anyone, on the show. And Nicole was certain that the Alien, who...

Admit it. One of the main reasons you watch “The Masked Singer” is to feel smarter than the panel. The four judges — Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke — sure say some pretty bone-headed things when they are trying to guess the names of the famous faces hidden behind those elaborate masks.
Two of them – Jenny and Robin — took to the stage at the Television Critics Association winter tour to defend themselves. Jenny got in the first jab. “We weren’t sitting there able to Google.” But what about between shows? Robin insists, “I never Googled.” And his wild speculation certainly confirms that as he thought the likes of the hugely successful Judge Judy would compete on “The Masked Singer.”
Why was Robin willing to look so dumb to viewers, who are convinced they are as right as he is wrong. “I really wanted it to be pure.

“When I stepped out on that stage for the first time, I loved being able to perform without anyone knowing who I was,” Peacock admitted in the third episode of “The Masked Singer.” He continued, “It was absolutely exhilarating and I felt like I was five years old again.” For his encore performance, Peacock took on OneRepublic‘s “Counting Stars” and wowed judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. Watch the performance above.
In the “clues” portion of Fox’s reality TV show, Peacock stated, “This show appealed to me so much because I’ve had so many different incarnations of my career and everyone thinks they know me. I started out as a little teenybopper, but there’s more than meets the eye. Then I was cast in some dramatic roles. Tonight, I’m gonna push myself harder than I ever have before by performing on...
