The creators of the series, Matt Wolpert, Ronald D Moore, and Ben Nedivi, have reimagined the global space race, depicting a reality where the first people to land on the moon were from the Soviet Union and not the United States.
Season 4 finale concluded with remarkable development, which included a tragic bombing incident at the iconic John Space Centre as well as the expansion of Happy Valley, the Martian colony. Anticipation runs high for Season 5. Let’s dive right into what we know so far from the storyline, release date, cast, and everything in between.

In the world of diverse content on streaming platforms, Apple TV+’s Servant is another hidden gem. It’s also one of the less popular shows on the platform. Servant was created by Tony Basgallop and executive producer, the famous M. Night Shyamalan.
It is a psychological horror show that first aired on 28 November 2019 and lasted for a span of 4 seasons, till 17 March 2023. The show garnered immense critical acclaim, so much so that it has a perfect 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series is a masterful blend of intense storytelling along with supernatural elements that creates the atmosphere of intense intrigue and dread.
Servant is a perfectly underrated psychological horror
The story is set in Philadelphia and revolves around the lives of the Turner Family and their nanny. Though it did not become a household name, the show is one of the most underrated series on television, and one that deserves a lot greater recognition.

Although "Succession" is well-known for its skewering of the 1%, its actual claim to fame is its ability to portray relationships that are both absurdly toxic and completely believable. Shiv and Tom were a total mess, but the disaster of their relationship wouldn't hurt so much if there wasn't some genuine love between them. The audience can understand why Shiv and Tom are bad together, but there's just enough there for the audience to root for them anyway.
That's why it's not too surprising to learn that "Succession" showrunner Jesse Armstrong also wrote an episode for the British dystopian anthology series "Black Mirror," way back in its first season in 2011. The episode was "The Entire History of You," a critically acclaimed story that serves as perhaps the best example of what a typical "Black Mirror" episode should look like. A "Black Mirror" episode should introduce a cool bit of sci-fi technology — in this case,...

Directors Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta rely on old, worn-out templates in their movie “Salvable” (2025). A bracing, despairing, resigned look at a man past his prime, the film is about a shadow of glory days, aching for a glimpse of it only to be redirected into emotional hollowness. There are only residues which the disillusioned, battered individual can now wrangle with, foist some semblance of anchorage.
The movie has, as its protagonist, a man who’s lost everything, including his once-blazing career as a boxer. His marriage broke up, he’s trying to hold onto relations with his daughter. Everything is a mess. Franklin, who has also written the film, lends the figure of the ex-boxer a sliver of dignity and grace. It’s an emotional mix of remembrance and shelled-out fortitude in the protagonist, coupled with Toby Kebbell’s moving performance, that lets “Salvable” accrue a growing pathos.

Have we reached a point where no amount of spin can create something fresh within the boxing film genre? It’s true that the differences between most entries in, for example, the “Rocky” franchise and nearly every other motion picture revolving around sports ranges from wide to minimal, but to zero in on the world of boxing sees a tried-and-true formula from which the majority of filmmakers rarely stray very far. All seem to focus on the underdog and past-their-prime coach, or past-their-prime athlete and past-their-prime coach seeking one last shot at a title.

Starring Toby Kebbell and Shia Labeouf, Salvable is an emotional drama revolving around Sal, a prominent boxer back in his prime, who’d lately been caught in the drudgery of mundanity. He lived in Wales and worked as a caregiver at an old age home. There was a certain quiet gentleness in his soul and a tender grace in the way he cared for his patients. He continued to train under Welly, his old trainer, after work. He was no longer the boxing star he once used to be; he had been reduced to a punching bag, and he did it for the extra cash. Sal’s life fell apart after he lost an important match and he never recovered from it. Sal figured out that the only way he could get his life back together was by keeping his head down and doing an honest job. But all of a sudden,...

Plot: An aging boxer struggles to escape the grasp of a small town while battling a fractured relationship with his teenage daughter.
Review: Maybe it has something to do with Rocky having a profound impact on me (and most of America), but there’s just something about a boxing movie that feels special. Every time one releases, I make sure to rush and check it out. I don’t need much outside of some decent boxing action and an intriguing lead character I can root for. Unfortunately, Salvable has neither of those things, and is more focused on showing us all the ways to be a bad father instead.
Toby Kebbell pulls the most he can from the thinly written character of Sal, an aging boxer with a complicated relationship with his daughter. He says he cares about her, but his actions constantly say otherwise. He’s his own worst...

The past-prime fighter struggling to rise above his hard-knock background was a screen cliché even when it fueled unexpected smash “Rocky” almost half a century ago. Since then, the same premise has been dusted off for regular reuse, often with extra helpings of “gritty” to make it seem less formulaic. But even that approach can feel mired in the same-old. English music video directing team Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta (billed as “Franklin & Marchetta”) make an assured feature bow with “Salvable,” which has Toby Kebbell from the “Planet of the Apes” films as one such boxer in a Welsh coastal town, beset by problems in and out of the ring.
With Shia Labeouf and James Cosmo also on board, this downbeat tale has solid performances, an intriguing locale and accomplished visual presentation among its virtues. Nonetheless, Franklin’s script never quite transcends pedestrian familiarity, holding this watchable effort back from...

Salvable, co-directed by Björn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta, opens in the rain-soaked streets of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, and immediately positions its protagonist at a crossroads. Logline: Sal (Toby Kebbell), a once-promising boxer turned nursing-home orderly, fights to reclaim his fractured life—battling courtroom custody battles by day and underground prizefights by night.
On paper, it’s a familiar setup: worn-down athlete, strained family ties, a shady friend dragging him back into the ring. Yet Franklin’s screenplay hints at a more nuanced narrative rhythm, privileging quiet character moments over spectacle. The film assembles a strong ensemble—Kebbell anchors Sal’s weary introspection; Shia Labeouf reappears as Vince, the reckless catalyst; James Cosmo offers grounded wisdom as Sal’s veteran trainer; and Kíla Lord Cassidy brings subtle heat as Sal’s resentful daughter.
Visually, the palette embraces muted grays and damp concrete, underlining the working-class textures of Welsh life. The...

At this point, the prospect of watching a film about an aging boxer whose life has hit the skids sounds as appealing as getting into the ring with Oleksandr Usyk. It’s the sort of well-trod cinematic territory that feels overly familiar, and the title, Salvable, does not exactly inspire hope. Fortunately, co-directors Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta’s debut feature proves better than its synopsis suggests. While the film doesn’t chart any particularly new territory, it benefits greatly from Franklin’s subtle screenplay and performances infusing it with emotional power that sneaks up on you.
The sort of gritty, realistic drama that frequently emerged from England in the early ‘60s, the story set in Wales revolves around Sal (Toby Kebbell, the film’s real star, despite Shia Labeouf’s prominence in the marketing), whose successful boxing days are well behind him. Every few years Hollywood develops an unhealthy obsession with boxing movies and the classic underdog tale. You know, the down-and-out boxer who needs to overcome the odds and a tough opponent to come out victorious in the end, blah, blah? On the surface, that’s what Björn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta’s Salvable appears to be about. Toby Kebbell’s aging Sal is a boxer past his prime, but he continues to train and dream of becoming somebody. Salvable, though, doesn’t produce the picture-perfect ending of a triumphant Sal holding his hand up in the air after a bloody battle. Instead, it’s a harsh reality check about how decision rather than destiny drives humans to either success or failure. It’s beyond boxing; it’s about life. This isn’t about Rocky Balboa [L-r] Toby Kebbell as “Sal” and Shia Labeouf as “Vince” in the action crime thriller Salvable,...

Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror is one of the most loved contemporary series. Set in the near future, the techno-thriller anthology introduces a different technological marvel in each episode, and explores profound philosophical questions and themes with technology as the centre. One of its most celebrated episodes is the season 4 episode ‘USS Callister.’
A parody of and a tribute to Star Trek, the USS Callister sees an in-universe, multiplayer, role-playing game called Infinity, created by the episode’s central character, Robert Daly, played by Jesse Plemons, who uses the VR game to take revenge on his co-workers. The makers of the episode also ideated a spin-off series on the same.

Vin Diesel is undeniably known for his role as Dominic "Dom" Toretto in the Fast and Furious franchise, but he has flirted with many other franchises, including XXX, The Chronicles of Riddick, and even the MCU. One of his recent projects that should've kicked off a new franchise is becoming a new hit on streaming.
In 2020, Diesel starred in Bloodshot, the adaptation of the Valiant Comics character of the same name. The movie was expected to start a shared cinematic universe, but its poor reviews and reception made Sony Pictures rethink the plans. However, five years after its release, Bloodshot found redemption on streaming, per Tudum.
Bloodshot was released internationally on Netflix on Apr. 1, and it didn't take long for it to become a hit. For the week between Apr. 7 and 13, Bloodshot premiered in sixth place on the global charts. Bloodshot received 3.1 million views in the last week, entering the Top 10 in 34 countries,...

Tom Hardy recently opened up about reuniting with Guy Ritchie after nearly two decades. The pair are currently working together on the Paramount+ series MobLand.
"I didn't realize it was 17 years," Hardy told The Hollywood Reporter when asked how he and the acclaimed director, who also serves as an executive producer on Mobland, reconnected after so much time. "That's quite a long time, isn't it? Well, I just called him on the phone, and it didn't feel like that much time had passed, and he was already interwoven into the project. So we had a catch-up and pretty shortly afterward, we were on set working. So it was pretty straightforward."
Ritchie and Hardy previously worked together on 2008's RocknRolla, which featured an ensemble cast all caught up in the middle of a convoluted criminal plot. The film starred Hardy as Handsom Bob alongside Gerard Butler's One-Two, Tom Wilkinson's Lenny Cole,...

Whatever you think about Shia Labeouf, his intensity and commitment is unquestionable, and he's not afraid to be outspoken. Labeouf's interesting career path was diverted among a variety of scandals and allegations, and you could hardly call it a comeback when he returned in 2023 with the film Padre Pio. Which is a shame, because he gives a great performance, and Abel Ferrara always creates fascinating films. It was perhaps just too niche a movie to give the former Transformers star the spotlight again. That likely won't change with his next movie, Salvable, which recently released its first trailer. Julian McMahon first played Doctor Doom in 2005's Fantastic Four for what proved to be a largely disappointing take on the iconic villain. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer went some way in making up for that, but both movies left fans wanting more.
Unfortunately, Toby Kebbell's take on Doom in 2015's Fantastic Four reboot did little to make up for those earlier efforts and it's now down to Robert Downey Jr. to do right by Victor Von Doom.
The former Iron Man's casting was announced at last year's San Diego Comic-Con. He'll suit up in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, with a cameo in The Fantastic Four: First Steps looking likely.
Talking to Screen Rant at SXSW, McMahon had nothing but good things to say about Downey taking over as Doom in the MCU.
"It's Robert, you know what I mean? What are you going to say?...

Jamie Bell and Kate Mara started dating while shooting 2015's disastrous Fantastic Four reboot, perhaps the only good thing to come out of a movie plagued by studio interference.
Over the years, neither they nor co-stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, and Toby Kebbell have shied away from sharing their disdain for the 20th Century Fox-produced Marvel Comics adaptation.
When all was said and done, Fantastic Four grossed a mere $167.9 million at the worldwide box office in 2015, with filmmaker Trank disowning the studio-mandated cut days before it arrived in theaters. Boasting a 9% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it remains one of the worst-reviewed comic book movies ever.
Despite that, when Cbr caught up with Mara at SXSW this weekend, the actor declined to share any further negativity about making the ill-fated take on the iconic foursome.
"I don't have anything negative to say about it," she said of Fantastic Four.

This year, Marvel Studios will introduce an all-new incarnation of the titular team in the upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The movie's release comes 10 years after the release of the previous reboot, 2015's Fantastic Four, which featured Kate Mara as Sue Storm.
Mara's latest role is alongside Gabriel Luna and Laurence Fishburne in the new film The Astronaut. Speaking with Grae Drake of Cbr at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival to promote the film, Mara touched on her time spent playing Sue Storm. While the 2015 movie famously came up short with its critical reception and box office performance, there are no regrets held by Mara, who's grateful for the experience. After later marrying and having kids with Ben Grimm actor Jamie Bell, Mara also looks forward to her kids seeing the both of them playing superheroes together in the film one day.

After over a decade of playing the Avengers’ leader and Marvel protagonist Iron Man (Tony Stark), Robert Downey Jr. is getting ready to trade in his hero status for a darker venture, playing Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom (Victor Von Doom) in two upcoming Marvel films.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Joe and Anthony Russo, co-directors of the last two Avengers movies, were asked how it was to reunite with Downey, for Avengers: Doomsday and how he’s preparing for the role.
“It’s a very intense process developing the character,” Joe said. “He’s so immersed in it. He is so dialed in.”
He continued, “[Downey’s] writing backstory, costume ideas … I think he just loves really rich, three-dimensional characters and I think he sees a real opportunity here with that character.”
In July, Downey surprised the crowd at Comic-Con by taking off his mask onstage to reveal that he would play Doctor Doom.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hopes to help the franchise climb to new heights after previous installments featuring Marvel's first family yielded mixed results at best. One star of the last Fantastic Four film hopes First Steps won't be a "bomb" like his widely derided 2015 effort.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter (via X), FANT4STIC star Miles Teller shared his thoughts on First Steps and what he expects to see from the superhero blockbuster. Teller, who portrayed Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in the Josh Trank-helmed 2015 Fantastic Four reboot, has nothing but good things to say about First Steps after watching its recent teaser trailer and hopes it has much more success than his movie. “I don’t wish anybody to be a part of a bomb … I just wish them the best," Teller said. "I saw the little trailer and I thought it looked fantastic, I’m very excited for them.

Update: Variety reports that a federal jury ruled unanimously in favor of M. Night Shyamalan and Apple in the copyright lawsuit filed against them by The Truth About Emanuel writer/director Francesca Gregorini. While testifying last Wednesday, Shyamalan said that neither he nor anyone else involved with Servant had seen or heard about The Truth About Emanuel before Gregorini filed the lawsuit. After saying this was all “clearly, 100%, a misunderstanding,” Shyamalan added, “This accusation is the exact opposite of everything I do and everything I try to represent. I would have never allowed it. None of the people that I work with would ever do anything like that.“

Acclaimed filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan responds to Servant plagiarism accusations.
Per Variety, Shyamalan testified on Wednesday, January 22, that he and his collaborators on Servant did not steal any ideas, characters, or concepts from a 2013 independent film, Francesca Gregorini's The Truth About Emanuel, that also features a delusional woman and a baby doll. Shyamalan addressed jurors saying that the dispute is "Clearly, 100% a misunderstanding. This accusation is the exact opposite of everything I do and everything I try to represent." When asked if he copied anything from the film, Shyamalan responded, "Absolute not."

Five years after initial allegations, the $81 million copyright battle over the Apple TV+ series Servant finally had its day in court on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025. The packed Riverside courtroom bearing witness to the exhibit included Apple TV+ programming chief Matt Cherniss, series creator Tony Basgallop, and director/producer M. Night Shyamalan.
Per Variety, Gregorini's filing alleges Shyamalan and Apple TV+ appropriated her 2013 Sundance film The Truth About Emanuel in the 2019 series Servant. Action on the suit, filed by Servant director Francesca Gregorini's suit against M. Night Shyamalan and company, has moved at a glacial pace after multiple legal hurdles, making today a crucial moment in the half-decade dispute over creative ownership, kickstarting what will be a highly scrutinized Hollywood legal battle. The case, initially dismissed in 2022, hinges on proving both access and substantial similarity.

When it comes to adapting popular video games for both the big and small screens, the results can be hit or miss. These days, things seem to be better than ever thanks to shows like The Last of Us and Twisted Metal, but movies like Borderlands remind us that Hollywood doesn't always get it right. Such was the case with the 2016 film Warcraft, which divided fans and critics upon its release, but now, nine years later, is a streaming hit.
Over on Max, Warcraft sits at number seven on the list of Top 10 movies at the time of this writing, sandwiched between Ben Affleck's The Accountant at number six, and the Robin Williams classic Mrs. Doubtfire at number eight. Animation will possibly always be inextricably linked with and thought of as family-friendly content. Even though it's a medium of storytelling, animation continues to be widely perceived as a genre. As a result, it's simply considered a children's genre by most, even though the best R-rated animated films demonstrate that there's nothing inherently child-friendly about animation. Horror as a genre, on the other hand, barring horror comedy movies which are hilarious and terrifying, is largely considered to be an adult genre, exploring adult themes and featuring visuals inappropriate for children.
So, the blend of horror and animation is very commonly appropriate only for adults. In fact, one of the best horror movies of the past 10 years is an animated movie called The Wolf House. But the most interesting area of intersection between the two categories is the family-friendly animated horror movie, which doesn't always come in the form of horror comedy.

The Kraken is about to be released. Ralph Fiennes is having one hell of a year, especially with the recent release of The Return. Based on the classic Greek play by Homer, the movie stars Fiennes as Odysseus returning to Ithaca 20 years after the Trojan War. The film has received great reviews, and the actor got a lot of attention for the ludicrous physical shape he got in for the role. However, The Returned is far from Fiennes' first foray into classic Greek storytelling, as he previously starred alongside Liam Neeson in the divisive 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans.

At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios shocked everyone by announcing that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. had been cast as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
The news received a mixed response from fans, though it's since been confirmed that he's playing Victor Von Doom rather than an evil Tony Stark Variant. We don't yet know whether he's the Doom from The Fantastic Four: First Steps' alternate reality but the hope is that Earth-616 will get a new version of the villain for the McU's next Saga of storytelling.
After all, his feud with Reed Richards is worth exploring beyond a couple of Avengers movies!
We don't anticipate Downey returning for a Fantastic Four sequel and have what we think are some pretty compelling ideas for who could take over the role. With their faces hidden by a mask, age isn't that big of a deal,...

The MCU needs to remember the golden reason why Doctor Doom is so dangerous. Set to become the villain of Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr's Victor von Doom will be the third major live-action iteration of the iconic Marvel Comics villain. However, this will also be an opportunity for this new Doom to have an inherent power that past versions have failed to provide on screen.
In the original Marvel comics, Doctor Doom is one of the greatest supervillains of all time. While Reed Richards and The Fantastic Four may be his arch-foes, Victor von Doom has evolved to become a major villain to all Marvel heroes since his first appearance in 1962. To that end, it makes sense that Doom is going to be the leading antagonist of the fifth Avengers movie. However, the hope is that the McU's Doctor Doom will be able to wield a power he's...

MonsterVerse is one of the most interesting cinematic universes out of all of them. The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures-owned franchise has earned over $2.5 billion worldwide and also consists of TV shows on different streaming services but the way it all came together is a bit iffy because of the rights issues and the general laziness that we see in the some of the MonsterVerse films, but still Godzilla vs. Kong is still one of the most iconic movies for me. So, we thought of compiling every project that exists in the MonsterVerse and ranking them according to their Rotten Tomatoes score, here it is.
7. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (Max & Rent on Prime Video) Rotten Tomatoes Score: 42% Credit – Warner Bros.

A team of VFX artists have some sharp critiques about the Warcraft movie. An adaptation of the hit video game series, the movie saw Orcs and humans waging war against one another. The cast included Travis Fimmel (Anduin Lothar), Paula Patton (Garona), Toby Kebbell (Durotan), and even more actors to fill out its large ensemble cast. The Warcraft movie's ending has been the subject of criticism, as it left an opening for a sequel that never materialized. Unfortunately, some serious visual effects issues held it back.
As part of their "VFX Artists React to Bad & Great CGi" series, the Corridor Crew took a look at the 2016 adaptation. While reflecting that "everything just looks a little too nicely lit", the team discussed the faulty motion blurring and a lack of any clear cause and effect in the fight scenes. Together, they believe that all of those failures created "a garbled mess" of a movie.
