Katarina Holmberg aka Tigerlight is a singer, composer, voice over actress and DJ. The half British, half Swedish-Finnish DJ has been described by MTV as 'the new voice of electronica' and 'amazing fresh new talent 'by Rob Da Bank on BBC Radio One. Live she DJs and sings over her own productions and finely selected bass heavy beasts. She has released records with labels: 'Ministry of Sound', 'AEI', 'Party Like Us', The Stanton Warrior's label 'Punks', 'Gold Channel Recordings', 'Universal', 'Suicide Dub' and 'Never Say Die'. She's hosted for BBC's 'xtra talent' and written and featured in comedy sketches for them too.
She is a radio presenter and show producer for Digitally Imported (di.fm) where she hosts an interview show with high profile guests such as The Foreign Beggars, Armin Van Buuren, J.Phlip (DirtyBird), Marc Romboy, Black Sun Empire and more. The second monthly show for D.I. she hosts is for Germany's leading electronic music magazine Groove's monthly chart show.
Her live shows include performances in clubs in Europe and main stages at Glastonbury Festival last year supporting Caribou, Hot chip and Todd Terje on the Westholt's stage. Other memorable main stage sets also at The Secret Garden Party Festival, Glade Festival, Boomtown Festival, Lovebox. Headlining KOKO in Camden and Brighton's Concorde 2 and Coalition and a tour of the USA.
Alongside her dance productions she writes music for film and TV having finished the end credits to a German feature with cinema release in 2016 and a world wide documentary release first aired on Arte about the political struggles in Kurdistan and a second called Generation Djihad. Other notable work was her soundtrack for a documentary about Syria 'Return to Homs' which was chosen to open the Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival and went on to win many festival awards including the 'World Cinema Award' at Sundance in the US where she was a featured ASCAP composer.
