Three Bags Full: A Detective Sheep Movie is one of the more interesting films set to release next year, thanks to its unconventional premise and stellar ensemble cast. The movie had a special presentation at CinemaCon 2025 as part of Amazon MGM Studios' panel, where the film's star, Hugh Jackman (in a pre-recorded video), introduced audiences to the "whodunit" film before footage was shown for the movie. While it was initially slated for release in February 2026, a new report has revealed that the release date has now been pushed back by several months.
Deadline has reported that Three Bags Full has moved nine months back to a November 2026 release date, aiming for the holiday spot instead of the early 2026 release spot it once had. Amazon MGM Studios previously released their holiday blockbuster Red One, which starred Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. Now, it seems that the studio is banking on attracting...

Marvel Studios ruled the cinematic landscape from 2008 until around 2019, thanks in no small part to the novelty of its shared universe, a concept every film studio tried and failed to mimic. Beginning with Jon Favreau's "Iron Man," the Marvel Cinematic Universe successfully propelled popular heroes and villains to the big screen, culminating with enormous blockbuster events in the form of "Avengers" movies, not to mention standout hits like Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther" and Jon Watts' "Spider-Man: No Way Home."
More impressively, the MCU made frequent use of the ultimate gimmick: cameos, often arising during mid-credit scenes, which usually introduced or teased new characters like Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the Collector (Benicio del Toro), who would often go on to play vital roles in later pictures. In fact, one could argue the MCU took off due to Samuel L. Jackson's surprising appearance as Nick Fury in "Iron Man.

Exclusive: We can tell you first that Amazon MGM Studios’ action comedy Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie is moving baa, err, back from Feb 20 next year to the Nov. 13, 2026 slot. Amazon MGM Studios has been in that pre-Thanksgiving corridor before with last year’s Dwayne Johnson-Chris Evans’ Santa Claus movie Red One. The reason behind the shift I hear is to pull in more families.
Currently, there’s only an untitled Universal movie on the pic’s new date.
The Kyle Balda directed, Craig Mazin written Working Title and Three Strange Angels production follows George Hardy (Hugh Jackman), a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them only for their wool. Every night he reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand, but never suspecting that not only can they understand but they argue for hours afterwards about whodunnit. When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances,...

Netflix will submit eight cast members from Black Mirror for Emmy consideration, Gold Derby has learned.
Paul Giamatti and Chris O'Dowd will be submitted for Limited Series/TV Movie Actor and Rashida Jones will be submitted for Limited Series/TV Movie Actress.
Jimmi Simpson who stepped back into the role of Walton for Black Mirror's "USS Callister: Into Infinity," the sequel to the Emmy-winning episode that originally aired in 2017, will be submitted for Limited Series/TV Movie Supporting Actor. Likewise, his costar Cristin Milioti, who similarly reprised her role for "Into Infinity," is being submitted as Limited Series/TV Movie Supporting Actress. The decision would potentially make her eligible for two Emmy nominations, since she is planning on going in the lead category for The Penguin.
Emma Corrin, Issa Rae, and Tracee Ellis Ross will also be submitted for supporting actress.

Netflix has a strong Emmy hand to play this TV awards season, positioning the seventh season of its flagship anthology series “Black Mirror” for a major awards run — and this time, the dystopian drama might be among its most formidable contenders yet.
Confirmed exclusively to Variety, the streamer is submitting three standout performances for lead acting honors in the limited or anthology series or TV movie categories: Paul Giamatti for the melancholic and moving “Eulogy,” and Chris O’Dowd and Rashida Jones for their resonant turns in the sociopolitical two-hander “Common People.” It’s a bold push that signals high hopes for a season already being hailed as a return to form — and possibly the series’ strongest outing since its Emmy-winning heyday.
Giamatti’s performance as Phillip, a solitary man navigating grief through digital means in “Eulogy,” has generated both tears and buzz. The 46-minute episode explores the ethics of AI-driven memorials,...

Let me start by saying that I was very late to the Black Mirror party — multiple seasons late. However, I eventually dove into the deep end and haven’t come out since.
Episodic anthology shows are a truly unique viewing experience. They allow audiences to jump in at any moment, and best of all, they don’t require watching every single episode.
To be clear, I have seen every episode of Black Mirror, and all I can say is that the hands behind the series were right to get back to basics with tech stories.
(Courtesy of Netflix)
Look, it’s not that the tech-less stories weren’t great. It’s that they didn’t feel like Black Mirror episodes.
It was a nice effort, Netflix, and no one blames you for trying something new, but as my niece’s mother’s mother always says, “If it ain’t broke,...

Netflix’s Black Mirror has been toying with reality, but the franchise’s latest offering- season 7 might be taking things too far. Created by Charlie Brooker, the series is a sci-fi anthology, exploring various themes. Most episodes are set in a near-future dystopia containing ultra futuristic technology.
The series is inspired by 1959’s American television anthology series, created by Rod Serling- The Twilight Zone– and uses the themes of technology and media to comment on contemporary social issues. Now, with Netflix dropping its first episode of S7, fans have wasted no time diving into the dark twists of Common People. Alternate endings and fan theories are already flooding the internet, some so clever and well crafted that they could leave the creator, Brooker, scratching his head.

Did the new Black Mirror episode mortify fans?(Photo Credit –Netflix)
Black Mirror’s latest season has landed like a punch to the gut, leaving longtime fans rattled and in some cases, walking away from Netflix altogether. With the arrival of the seventh season’s opening episode, ‘Common People,’ the internet lit up but not with the usual hype and analysis. Instead, it sparked outrage, discomfort, and a wave of subscription cancellations.
A Life-Saving Subscription with a Deadly Price
At the center of this techno-nightmare are Chris O’Dowd and Rashida Jones, playing Mike and Amanda, a couple thrust into emotional and financial chaos. The story kicks off when Amanda is hit with a terminal brain tumor diagnosis and in a desperate attempt to keep her alive, they turn to a sleek, futuristic company named Rivermind.

Black Mirror Season 7 is back doing what it does best: poking at our modern nightmares with a techy twist and a sharp edge. But this time, fans think the show might be biting the hand that streams it.
One particular episode has viewers buzzing for all the right (and wrong) reasons, and not just because it hits hard emotionally. The episode’s take on digital dependency and the cost of convenience feels a little too familiar, and fans aren’t missing the parallels.

Some even believe it’s a sly jab at Netflix itself. When your own platform might be the villain of the story, now that’s some classic Black Mirror irony.

This article contains Major Spoilers for Black Mirror Season 7, Episodes 1 and 4, "Common People" and "Plaything".
One fan discovered an Easter egg in Black Mirror's Season 7 opener, "Common People". Outside of its grim premise, the episode also warned audiences about self-aware artificial intelligence.
There's a grim message hidden in "Common People", one of Black Mirror's darkest episodes. In line with the show's tradition, Season 7 is peppered with Easter eggs referencing other stories, expanding the lore. "Common People" still seemed more of a stand-alone installment, even though it featured technology similar to previous episodes; one scene suggested the AI depicted in the story was malicious, thanks to a keen-eyed fan's Reddit post. "Common People" revolved around Rivermind, an experimental procedure that restores (and enhances) patients' cognitive functions.

Rivermind is a lifesaver, but there's a catch: patients can only access its features via paid subscription.

Black Mirror has been one of Netflix's major successes since it first shattered screens in 2011. Fourteen years and seven seasons later, the British anthology series still finds new ways to shock and awe its audience and bring them all the feels.
A brief introduction: I love science fiction. I devoured Isaac Asimov's robot stories as a kid. When the anthology The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume One 1929-1964 was first published in 1970, I was enthralled. Television science fiction wasn't quite as good, but it wasn't bad, either. Star Trek is often considered the gold standard of Sf on TV, but nothing compares to The Twilight Zone.
There were science fiction shows before The Twilight Zone, and we've seen more than a few since. It's been rebooted several times, but not even the amazing Jordan Peele matched the original series for its overall quality and (admittedly occasional) sheer brilliance.

This article contains Major Spoilers for Black Mirror Season 7, Episode 1, "Common People".
Black Mirror episodes like "White Christmas", "White Bear", and even "USS Callister" imagined what personal hell could look like in a dystopian, digital future. Season 7's "Common People" joined that list with a premise that's harrowing and relatable.
Every Black Mirror season has at least one grim episode, and Season 7's opener doesn't disappoint. "Common People" imagined a health care system that capitalized on people's suffering, forcing the latter to deeper depths of desperation. "It's one of our bleak ones," series creator Charlie Brooker told Entertainment Weekly. The premise of "Common People" is also new to the show's lore; Black Mirror's expanded universe repeats plot points (and technologies) throughout its seasons.

Spoiler Warning: This story discusses major plot developments in the “Black Mirror” episode “Common People,” currently streaming on Netflix.
Rashida Jones is an acting pro. But there’s a line in her “Black Mirror” episode “Common People” that she struggled to say on camera without laughing: “Ride smooth with Thirst Trap Lube.” That was hard enough — but then try saying that while face-to-face with a semi-naked Chris O’Dowd.
That line is just one of several comical moments in “Common People.” Others involve Tracee Ellis Ross, who plays a perma-upbeat yet increasingly sinister sales agent — a character she describes as the “representation of corporate greed.”
Laughs aside, “Common People” is one of the most depressing episodes in the not-exactly-uplifting “Black Mirror” repertoire, and it ends on a note almost as bleak as they come.
The episode follows Jones as a teacher who suffers from what would normally be a fatal brain tumor.

The 49-year-old Rashida Jones pulled no punches with her latest Black Mirror episode, and let’s just say, Netflix might need some aloe for the burn. Under the glossy surface of a tragic love story, she went full savage on the streaming giant’s obsession with content overload. It’s eerie, emotional, and yeah, a little too real for comfort.
What starts off as a bittersweet romance quickly spirals into a soul-crushing mirror of our binge-driven world. Viewers called it one of the most depressing tales yet, and not because of the heartbreak, but because it hits way too close to home.

Initially starting off as a tech-focused satire, which was often presented through a bleak lens, in the latter seasons, Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror branched off to other genres in an attempt to stay fresh. Although some felt the show strayed too far from its roots, which initially commenced as Brooker’s way of coping with his worries, season 7 takes the anthology series back to its roots.
As for the accusations surrounding the series becoming too mellow with each passing installment, Brooker claimed the new season would deliver on its reputation, and going by the reception, it certainly did.

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Black Mirror” Season 7, Episode 1, “Common People.”
“Black Mirror” Season 7 episode “Common People” introduces a horrifying healthcare scenario that features technology that stars Rashida Jones and Tracee Ellis Ross believe might be closer to reality than we think.
In “Common People,” middle class couple Amanda (Jones) and Mike (Chris O’Dowd), get trapped in a vicious cycle when a technological invention, titled Rivermind, saves Amanda from death, though demands a hefty subscription fee to continue supporting her vitality. While Amanda and Mike make sacrifices to make it work, they are pushed to their limits when their customer service representative, Gaynor (Ross) continually ups the monthly cost for living a satisfactory life.
“I think we’re a couple of innovations away from this being an actual possibility that people can buy into,” Jones told TheWrap, noting that she would hate if the tiers were structured as they were in the episode.

Season 7 of Black Mirror dropped April 10 on Netflix after a two-year break. English showrunner Charlie Brooker wrote or cowrote all of the episodes, as usual. He's a five-time Emmy winner for writing and producing "San Junipero" in 2017, writing and producing "USS Callister" in 2018, and producing "Bandersnatch" in 2019. He received a sixth career Emmy nomination last year for writing "Joan Is Awful," but lost to Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer).
Speaking of "Bandersnatch" and "USS Callister," Season 7 marks the first time Black Mirror has revisited previous storylines in the form of cameo and a sequel, respectively. Will Poulter's computer programmer character Colin Ritman was featured in the interactive "Bandersnatch" and now returns with a small role in "Plaything." Meanwhile, "USS Callister: Into Infinity" is a full-on sequel to the original outer space installment, with Cristin Milioti and Jimmi Simpson reprising their crew members of the titular starship.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for Black Mirror Season 7 Episode: Common People ahead!!
There’s rarely a “happily ever after” in Black Mirror, but Rashida Jones might’ve found her version of it in Season 7’s episode Common People.
Watching this story about a couple caught in the tightening grip of subscription culture hit way too close to home. I genuinely felt suffocated, it was like watching a slow-motion nightmare we’re all quietly living. Jones’ character brought it to life with such honesty and transparency, I couldn’t look away.

Could this be the year “Black Mirror” finally reflects gold?
After more than a decade of mind-bending morality tales and dystopian nightmares, Netflix’s “Black Mirror” might finally be on the verge of achieving a long-elusive milestone: an Emmy nomination for outstanding limited or anthology series.
While the anthology has long been critically lauded — and an Emmy magnet when it was eligible in the television movie category — the Television Academy’s 2021 rule change, which moved anthologies alongside miniseries, has made it harder for shows like “Black Mirror” to compete on equal footing. However, the seventh season, which dropped April 10, is drawing some of its most substantial critical acclaim.
And with a submission landscape thinner than usual, this might be creator Charlie Brooker’s best shot yet at one of the top prizes.

Black Mirror season seven dropped today, April 10 on Netflix, and the first episode is a true return to form for the series. It stars Rashida Jones and Chris O'Dowd star as Amanda and Mike, husband and wife, in “Common People”, and the episode is a real tear jerker. It is an excellent episode of Black Mirror.
Spoilers for Black Mirror season seven episode one below.
The episode starts off by establishing the fact that Amanda and Mike are indeed common people. They've been married for a few years, they're deeply in love, and they're both hard workers. Mike works in construction and Amanda is a teacher. They certainly aren't rich, but they make enough money to have some fun and are even passively trying for children. It's a very relatable story to people around the world.

Black Mirror returns with mostly favorable reviews of the seventh season of the Charlie Brooker-created series. The April 10 drop featured six episodes, including a sequel to 2017's "USS Callister" episode with Cristin Milioti and has a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
"Some episodes, as you’d expect with a potpourri, are less compelling than others, but the series hits the high notes of human loss and love amid our relationship with tech and the search for life’s meaning with flashes of Brooker brilliance," writes Carol Midgley (The Times).
One episode receiving high praise is titled "Eulogy." It stars Paul Giamatti, who gives a powerful performance as a man who can step into old photographs to relive certain moments with a former love. "One could watch this episode entirely divorced from the world of Black Mirror and witness one of the best short films of 2025," writes Brian Tallerico (RogerEbert.com ), and...

Black Mirror is back for another season, and boy did it start off on an interesting foot. Fans of the show are known for having favorite episodes, and while I can easily see this becoming one of them, the episode raises some issues about the existence and future of the show itself.
The first episode, titled "Common People," follows the story of Amanda (Rashida Jones) and Mike (Chris O'Dowd) Waters, a couple celebrating their third wedding anniversary. Shortly after the couple celebrate their anniversary in their usual motel and diner fashion, Amanda comes down with a headache before fainting at work in front of her classroom of kids.
Mike runs to the hospital from his work, a construction site, to find out that Amanda has a brain tumor. The nurse informs Mike that there is only one thing for it: He must go off the beaten path to save his wife,...

Plot: Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will return in 2025 with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister.
Review: Since Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror moved from the UK’s Channel 4 to Netflix in 2016, we have been lucky to get four seasons and the interactive movie Bandersnatch. The last foray into the surreal anthology was in 2023, which offered a mix of almost feature-length tales that felt a bit underwhelming compared to the legacy the series had built for itself. The seventh volume of Black Mirror debuts on Netflix today and is a return to the powerful storytelling we saw in the early years of the series. Bringing back spin-offs and continuations of beloved entries, this may be the most diverse mix of story tones and themes, all tied to the ongoing theme of technological horror that is just slightly askew from what could really happen.

It’s been almost two years since Netflix brought us new episodes of Black Mirror, creator Charlie Brooker’s answer to The Twilight Zone. Coming off a season that covered A.I., paparazzi, the ethics of true crime and replica cyborgs loaded with their human originals’ consciousness, what can you expect in Season Seven?
Here’s a minimally spoiler-y sketch of each episode to prepare you…
Episode One: ‘Common People’
What It’s About: Amanda (Rashida Jones) has an inoperable brain tumor, but Gaynor (Tracee Ellis Ross) tells Amanda’s husband Mike (Chris O’Dowd) about an exciting new technology from her employer, Rivermind: the company can essentially replace the damaged brain tissue with a cloud backup of Amanda’s consciousness, and it only costs $300 a month! That might be nothing to another family, but for a teacher and a welder, it’s a lot, and Mike is forced into extremely...

Do not upgrade your Rivermind subscription if you haven't watched episode 1 of season 7 of "Black Mirror," titled "Common People." You've been warned — spoilers lie ahead!
If you're a longtime fan of the disturbing anthology series "Black Mirror," you might be surprised when I tell you that the season 7 premiere of the show, "Common People" — written by showrunner and creator Charlie Brooker and directed by Ally Pankiw, who previously helmed the season 6 premiere "Joan is Awful" — is the single bleakest hour the show has ever produced. I also frankly don't mean that in a good way, but I'll circle back to that.
The episode features just three lead actors, starting with Rashida Jones and Chris O'Dowd as Amanda and Mike Waters, an everyday couple leading a quiet and simple life together. After celebrating their anniversary at their favorite hotel The Juniper out of town, they return home — and we learn that...

The latest chapter of ‘Black Mirror’ has landed, and it’s as dark and twisted as we’d expect from Charlie Brooker’s mind. Season 7 starts with ‘Common People,’ an episode that dives into the messy intersection of love, desperation, and cutting-edge tech. We’re thrown into the lives of a couple facing a nightmare scenario, where a life-saving solution comes with strings attached. It’s classic ‘Black Mirror’—hope dangled in front of you, only to be yanked away by a brutal reality check.
Rashida Jones and Chris O’Dowd lead the charge as Amanda and Mike, a pair whose dreams get crushed under the weight of a dystopian catch-22. Tracee Ellis Ross pops up too, playing a slick sales rep with a smile that hides some ugly truths. The episode’s got that near-future vibe we love, where the tech feels just close enough to today to make you squirm.

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for Black Mirror Season 7 Episode 1, “Common People.”] Black Mirror‘s newest season kicks off on an extremely bleak note with “Common People.” The episode centers on a lower-middle-class couple, Amanda (Rashida Jones) and Mike (Chris O’Dowd), who face the unthinkable when Amanda is diagnosed with a lethal brain tumor. While Amanda is in a coma, Mike is given a choice: Let Amanda die or sign up for an experimental procedure in which part of her brain will be run by a subscription streaming service called Rivermind. The company’s representative, Gaynor (Tracee Ellis Ross), was one of its earliest customers and sells it very well. At first, it’s $300 a month, which is doable but tough for this cash-strapped couple. Then, the limitations of that initial tier become clear — Amanda can’t travel out of town without going into a coma, her sleep isn’t restful because her brain functions as...

“You’re so pretty when you’re alive.”
In an era of appointment television where series like “The White Lotus” and “Reacher” seem to occupy space to the tune of millions of viewers each week, Netflix is sticking with its bingeable model with the drop of another must-see title. “Black Mirror,” the British television series famous for its convoluted anthology episode premises akin to the modern version of “The Twilight Zone,” returns for Season 7 with a new concept that feels familiar. An A-list cast in almost every episode, the series presents sequels to a couple of its highest-rated plots to date.
The result works wonders with a talented cast and storylines that continue to impress, while leaving room for other installments to entertain with original commentary on humanity’s reliance on evolving technology — often to heartwrenching resolutions.

Since 2011, Charlie Brooker's sci-fi/horror/comedy/whatever-you-want-it-to-be anthology series "Black Mirror" has had a firm hold on pop culture, a fact that was only heightened when the series made the leap to Netflix in season 3. But a curious thing happened: as the real world grew increasingly more surreal and strange, the far-out concepts of "Black Mirror" struggled to keep up. When we're living in a modern world where we're cursed to hear about the banal evil of Elon Musk and something called "Fartcoin" every single damn day, the running "Black Mirror" question asking "Eh bruv, wot if your mobile phone killed you?" starts to feel kind of silly.
Of course, no one is saying that "Black Mirror" has to accurately reflect our current weird times (although that does seem to be Brooker's whole deal with the show) as long as it tells compelling stories. Unfortunately, the series has struggled...

The Netflix anthology series Black Mirror is Twilight Zone for the digital age, delivering unpredictable stories that offer insightful commentaries on both the real and digital worlds. At its worst, the show sometimes feels a bit half-baked, as if creator/writer Charlie Brooker couldn’t quite figure out how to explore a clever idea. But at its best, the series offers some of the most stunning and thought-provoking stories ever told on television.
Season 7, which drops today, feels like the show operating close to its peak, with a series of clever ideas that are (more often than not) perfectly punctuated. Here's a spoiler-free breakdown of what to expect and what we thought of all six episodes of the new season.

Although Black Mirror often centers itself around bastardizations of real-life technology, some episodes do center around creations of pure science fiction that are more symbolic of real-life problems. That is the approach taken in Common People, a satirical episode that can be a bit one-note but resonates due to its timely, urgent themes.

Charlie Brooker is back with a bang in a heartbreaking tirade against private healthcare. Here’s our Black Mirror: Common People review.
“Here is how platforms die”, Cory Doctorow began his now infamous 2023 article – the first recorded use of the increasingly useful term, “enshittification.”
“First,” he continued, “they are good to their users; then they abuse their users to make things better for their business customers; finally, they abuse those business customers to claw back all the value for themselves. Then, they die.”
In Common People, the opening episode to Black Mirror season 7, private healthcare finds itself in the middle of this cycle. A tech startup has developed a miracle cure for damaged brains – a cloud-based system allows a patient’s neural processes to run from a wireless power grid. “Netflix for your brain” is a phrase the show, for obvious reasons, never says out loud. It doesn’t have to.

Black Mirror’s Season 7 premiere isn’t just a dark comedy: It’s jet-black satire.
In “Common People,” Amanda (Rashida Jones) and Mike (Chris O’Dowd) are a working-class couple looking to start a family. But when Amanda falls into a coma, her grieving husband moves forward with a life-saving procedure that seems too good to be true.
Mike meets Gaynor (Tracee Ellis Ross), a medical tech company representative who pitches an experimental technology called Rivermind, which promises to restore Amanda’s cognitive function. There are a few caveats — she’ll need to sleep for a few more hours and must stay within the coverage range (much like cell phone towers) — but the surgery is free, and the subscription model costs a “reasonable” $300 per month.
The couple quickly realizes the downside of relying on a subscription service to stay alive. Mike is soon exhausted from picking up extra shifts at his...

Charlie Brooker was on to something when he created Black Mirror, a British anthology series that explores the dark side of technology and its impact on modern society. While initially a Channel 4 series, the show gained international recognition after Netflix picked it up, allowing Brooker to expand his vision even further. Six seasons have been released so far, with a highly anticipated seventh season set to be released on the streaming platform soon. Over a decade into making “Black Mirror,” creator Charlie Brooker’s goal was to make episodes that felt like “O.G. Black Mirror.”
“Last season started out as a season called ‘Red Mirror,’ they were all going to be horror, crime, supernatural stories, etc. And then I inconveniently thought up the episode ‘Joan is Awful,’ which was none of those things and was a ‘Black Mirror’ episode,” Brooker told TheWrap.
“[This year,] I wanted every story to be about the kind of technical breakthrough that explodes into some characters’ lives and upends everything,” he added.
“That’s the basic starting point — it was back to basics.”
Brooker quite literally went back to basics by pursuing a sequel episode for “USS Callister,” which first debuted in 2017 with Season 4, which he said the original episode naturally called for. “They’d literally flown to a wormhole, and we’re in a whole new universe, and...

“Black Mirror” is back for another round of mostly-worrying near-future dystopia.
Charlie Brooker’s darkly satirical anthology series — which began life in 2011 — is now onto its seventh season, all six episodes of which land on Netflix April 10.
Where the previous outing largely skipped the show’s tech-focused roots in favor of genres such as horror, this time it heads back towards it origins, featuring technological themes such as digitization, tiered-pricing and video gaming, but all told through its usual bleak — and sometimes bleakly comic — lens. Artificial intelligence, unsurprisingly, crops up several times.
But for the first time in the “Black Mirror” universe, there’s a sequel to a previous episode, the spaceship from Season 4 favorite “USS Callister” dusted off for another adventure in the digital realm, a return Brooker says was “long in the making” (but logistically difficult to arrange).

Gulliver's Travels, starring Jack Black, Emily Blunt, and Jason Segel, has found a new streaming home just in time for its 15th anniversary. The movie can now be found on Hulu.
Gulliver's Travels was among the dozens of titles added to Hulu on April 1. Per the official synopsis, the story follows "travel writer Lemuel Gulliver who takes an assignment in Bermuda, but ends up on the island of Liliput, where he towers over its tiny citizens." Rob Letterman directed the film from a screenplay by Joe Stillman and Nicholas Stoller.
Unlike the source material, the film is set in the present day and includes references to contemporary pop culture. It also includes a stellar cast with Jack Black in the lead role, alongside Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, Chris O'Dowd, T.J. Miller, James Corden, and Catherine Tate.

Here's one you might not have "herd" about: Hugh Jackman is trading his Wolverine claws for Shepherding horns, as he is starring alongside Emma Thompson in Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie. The movie, as you may have guessed from its very specific title, is a detective story involving sheep, but since that is a slightly elusive and broad premise, the MCU actor appeared in a video segment at CinemaCon 2025 to provide a few more details about it. He also unveiled the first footage for the upcoming Amazon feature, which he describes as "a bit of a whodunit."
The footage, shown during the Amazon MGM Studios panel on Wednesday night, which was attended by The Hollywood Reporter, was succeeded by Thompson expressing her joy and enthusiasm for the project. "It was, as you'll see from the clip, the most fantastic, loving, beautiful idea, this synthesis between animals and people,...

Hugh Jackman will soon be in his shepherd era.
The multi-hyphenate’s upcoming film, Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, got a CinemaCon reveal Wednesday night during the Amazon MGM Studios presentation inside the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Jackman and co-star Emma Thompson appeared in a video segment during the event to tease the film. “It was, as you’ll see from the clip, the most fantastic, loving, beautiful idea, this synthesis between animals and people,” she said.
Added Jackman about the film Kyle Balda directed from Craig Mazin’s script: “Craig Mazin’s wit is just second to none.”
