American Pie 2 comes to 4K and American Reunion gets a new Blu-ray release
Image
Good news for American Pie fans. Two sequels from the theatrically released entries will be getting new physical media releases. The bad news is that these particular releases are from a British distributor, and the normal Blu-rays are Region B. However, American Pie 2 will get an Ultra-hd 4K remastering on a region-free Blu-ray so North American consumers can enjoy it as well. According to Blu-ray.com, 88 Films is releasing the first sequel and the last sequel to the 1999 teen virginity comedy. Both Blu-rays are due to hit retailers in June.

The description for American Pie 2 reads,

“The characters you love are back! One year after the prom-night misadventures immortalized in American Pie, the entire gang has reunited for the summer. Now, an innocent-looking beach house will be transformed into the ultimate party-central. Five guys will discover the powerful bonds of friendship… and Super Glue. Five girls will explore the mysteries of love…...

Back to the Future Writer Doubles Down on No Sequels or Spinoffs Ever Happening
Image
The series finale of Cobra Kai featured aBack to the FutureEaster egg that hinted at the potential expansion of the famous '80s franchise. Since it's one of the few popular film series to never venture into the world of television, fans were hopeful.

In the final scene of Cobra Kai, writers Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz made a brief cameo in which they chatted about a potential Back to the Future spinoff. Speaking to People, Back to the Future screenwriter, Bob Gale, doubled down on the fact that he has no interest in expanding the franchise. "I don't know why they keep talking about that!" he said. "I mean, do they think that if they say it enough times, we're going to actually do it?"

"I mean, it's like they know in every interview people say, 'Oh Bob, when is there going to be a Back to the Future 4?' Never.

Will Cobra Kai Get A Spin-Off Series? Here's What We Know So Far
Image
Ending "Cobra Kai" after six seasons was a good move by series creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg because it allowed them to conclude the show's story on their own terms. However, this also means Netflix will be devoid of new seasons of the reliably delightful karate comedy-drama going forward. In other words? It's time to have a serious discussion about the future of the property.

With Ralph Macchio's Daniel Larusso busy teaming up with Jackie Chan's Mr. Han in the upcoming "Karate Kid: Legends", the "Cobra Kai" power trio is free to hatch their own plans within the franchise. In a PaleyFest 2025 red carpet interview with The Direct, Hurwitz was able to offer an eagerly awaited update on the status of potential "Cobra Kai" things to come ... and it seems that if anything, the showrunners are spoiled for choice:

"I mean, we have a buffet...

“If Jaden wants to do another Karate Kid…”: Cobra Kai Was Ready to Concede a Sequel Movie With Jaden Smith Under One Condition
Image
After a decades-long absence from the silver screen, the Karate Kid finally returned to the big screens with the Jaden Smith-led feature. But despite sharing themes and story bits similar to the original release, the end result proved to be more of a loose remake than a direct continuation of the original trilogy.

However, despite its commercial success, the retelling of the classic fish-out-of-water story didn’t extend beyond the 2010 iteration, especially in the wake of Cobra Kai, which brought the IP back to its roots. Interestingly, the creators behind the TV adaptation were inclined to a continuation of the Jackie Chan-starrer during their negotiation for the TV series.

Jaden Smith was the key to a potential Karate Kid sequel

Originally produced by Columbia Pictures, the rights of the IP have spanned through various production houses since its inception. On top of being acquired by Sony,...

“The Audience Has Been Speculating”: ‘Cobra Kai’ Creator Shares Exciting Spin-Off Update Ahead of ‘Karate Kid: Legends’
Image
The finale of Cobra Kai aired on Netflix a few months back this year, and The Karate Kid universe is about to expand with its next feature film, Karate Kid: Legends. However, this Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchiofeature isn't the only extension of this martial arts franchise. According to Cobra Kai's showrunner, Jon Hurwitz, there are still more stories to tell.

During an interview at Paleyfest (via The Direct), Hurwitz revealed he has plenty of ideas for future stories, but making them would depend on what Netflix and Sony want. He stated that he had an idea for a show that would take place 100 years ago and events that would take place in the future after Cobra Kai. While none of these projects have gotten the green light to be made, he hopes a future update will be shared soon.

"I mean, we have a buffet in front of us...

'Obliterated' Preview: Watch the First 6 Minutes of Episode 1
Image
Going undercover at a Las Vegas pool party isn’t your typical mission — but then again, the heroes of Obliterated aren’t your typical government agents.

From the trio behind Cobra Kai, Netflix’s opens with a sun-soaked, booze-fueled pool party at Drai’s dayclub, but, as the above sneak peek reveals, several of the partygoers aren’t who they initially appear to be.

They’re actually a multidisciplinary team from several different government branches — CIA, Navy, Nsa — who are tracking a deadly nuclear device that could level the entire city. The squad consists of leader and CIA intelligence officer Ava Winters (Shelley Hennig), tactical lead and Navy Seal Chad McKnight (Nick Zano), fellow Seal Trunk (Terrence Terrell), Marine sniper Angela Gomez (Paola Lázaro), Nsa tech genius Maya Lerner (Kimi Rutledge), bomb-defusing expert Hagerty (C. Thomas Howell), and Air Force pilot Paul Yung (Eugene Kim).

I’m So Upset With Ralph Macchio’s Comment on Hilary Swank’s Canceled Return in Cobra Kai as Julie Pierce
Image
Ralph Macchio’s Cobra Kai series wrapped up its six-season-long journey this year with great fan fervor. However, the franchise itself is far from over, and so is Macchio’s connection to it. In fact, May 30th will bring in a new era of the franchise with Karate Kid: Legends starring Ralph Macchio, Jackie Chan and Ben Wang.

As such, to say I’m excited to see where things ultimately head won’t be an exaggeration. However, even with my excitement around the franchise, one thing has been bothering me for the past few years. Macchio’s Cobra Kai finally wrapping up only heightened that feeling even more for me.

Basically, I couldn’t wrap my head around Hilary Swank’s Julie Pierce not appearing even once in the series during its entire run. Ralph Macchio’s response...

‘It’s been a long journey,’ says Ralph Macchio while reuniting with the ‘Cobra Kai’ cast: ‘Boy, am I blessed’
Image
Netflix and Sony's Cobra Kai delivered its final karate chop on Feb. 13 after six seasons, and the cast and crew reunited at the Dolby Theatre on March 22 to celebrate the show with its passionate fans.

The joint PaleyFest/FYC event included cast members Ralph Macchio as Daniel Larusso, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel, Tanner Buchanan as Robby, Mary Mouser as Samantha, and Gianni Decenzo as Demetri, showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, and fight coordinator Don Lee. Collider's Perri Nemiroff moderated the Q&a panel, which took place after a screening of the series finale, "Ex-Degenerate."

After seeing the first cut of the series finale last year, Macchio called up the creators to tell them, "That's it. It lands exactly where it should." Earlier during the show's run, "I saw how everything was connecting and working, and how it was next level to have a show that...

Cobra Kai Season 7 - Will It Ever Happen?
Image
For six seasons, "Cobra Kai" brought '80s nostalgia and absurd karate action to YouTube and then to Netflix, only to come to a climactic conclusion earlier this year with the end of "Cobra Kai" season 6. Netflix built up to the proper finale with plenty of fanfare, giving each character a proper send-off (some more explosive than others), and wrapping things up with a series of one-on-one world championship duels for the key characters.

It's rare in the streaming era that shows get to go out so decisively on their own terms, and yet, the show's popularity means that many fans are still hoping there could be a chance for "Cobra Kai" season 7. Is there really, though? Well, probably not -- at least, not under that name. The showrunners, stars, and Netflix itself have all made it clear that season 6 is the end, but they've also talked extensively about the...

‘Cobra Kai’ showrunners break down Johnny Lawrence’s ‘second chance at life’ in the series finale and the alternate ending you didn’t see

Cobra Kai's trio of showrunners, producers, writers, and directors, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, have been thinking about their series finale for years. "Even before we wrote the first episode, we had a sense of certain things that were important to us," they tell Gold Derby. "We knew that we wanted to end our series with Johnny Lawrence having a second chance at life."

Cobra Kai delivered its final karate chop on Feb. 13 on Netflix, and fans are still coping with having to say farewell to their favorite characters, including "frenemies" Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). In this exclusive port-mortem Q&a with Gold Derby, Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg open up about crafting a series finale, the alternate ending you didn't see on TV, and the show's upcoming Emmy chances.

Netflix’s 'Cobra Kai' Connection to 'Karate Kid: Legends' Revealed By Showrunner
Image
Cobra Kaishowrunners Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald are still enjoying the great reception of the show's finale, which was released on Netflix last February. It was sad to see Cobra Kai end, but the showrunners made sure to provide closure to the various arcs that fans of the martial arts drama followed for six seasons. However, Cobra Kai is not the end of the Karate Kid franchise. The Netflix spin-off is just one more chapter in the Miyagiverse.

Aside from Star Wars, the Dceu, the MCU, and Dune, there are not many franchises that have found success in movies and television. The differences between the two mediums are vast, and not many writers have found a way to make the concepts simultaneously co-exist in films and TV. Now, after originally being a movie franchise before its foray onto the small screen with Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid franchise is returning...

Jacob Bertrand Would Do a 'Cobra Kai' Spinoff on One Condition
Image
That's a wrap on Cobra Kai, but the spirit and characters of the franchise — which date back to Ralph Macchio's iconic 1984 film, of course — will live on. First, there's the highly anticipated film Karate Kid: Legends, hitting the masses on May 30. Plus, there's talk of a spinoff series featuring a couple of the teens from Cobra Kai. Maybe one of your favorites from the ragtag bunch was Eli Moskowitz, otherwise known as "Hawk" due to his trademark mohawks that immediately stole whichever scene his character occupied. Hawk was played with style, ferocity, and pizzazz by rising star Jacob Bertrand, and MovieWeb recently caught up with him to see if he'd ever welcome the opportunity to further pursue his beloved character in a future project.

"If they were to do a spinoff, I mean, for Hawk, it would probably be a binary brothers thing, and I'm so down to work with Gianni [DeCenzo] again,...

'Cobra Kai's Martin Kove Says John Kreese Could Have Lived in Alternate Ending
Image
Martin Kove's iconic character, John Kreese, stole the show in Cobra KaiSeason 6's emotionally charged 13th episode, "Skeletons." After over 40 years of waiting, Karate Kidfans got to witness the often despicable Kreese finally finding redemption for the unspeakable wrongs he did to his star student, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Unfortunately, after turning back over the Cobra Kai dojo to Johnny, it appears that Kreese was killed in an explosion while battling Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). However, there was an alternate ending filmed in which Kreese miraculously escaped the flames engulfing Silver's destroyed yacht. Kove said in an interview with People:

"A lot of the fans think that the character, he should have come out of the water and survived. We did shoot a scene like that. We did shoot a scene where I'm smoking the cigar [the character’s trademark vice], and I grab a magazine. It implies in Episode 15 that he didn't die,...

How Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 Almost Brought Back The Karate Kid Villain Dutch
Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Mary Mouser, Peyton List, Jacob Bertrand, Tanner Buchanan, Gianni DeCenzo, and Xolo Maridueña in Cobra Kai (2018)
This article contains spoilers for "Cobra Kai" Season 6 Part 3.

With each new season of "Cobra Kai," it was difficult to not be in awe of its audacity to bring back all manner of "Karate Kid" alumni. The consistency in which it did so would sink just about any other franchise into empty nostalgic reverence ... and yet, it kind of worked. The only time it ever really fumbled this was with the unsettling AI resurrection of Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita). Otherwise, when a returning character like Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) or Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue) made an appearance on the show, they became integral parts of the story. Pulling heroes and villains from past films for "Cobra Kai" (like Thomas Ian Griffith's Terry Silver) retroactively made them better and, even more shockingly, meaningful.

In the Season 2 episode "Take a Right," Johnny (William Zabka) receives a call from his high school...

The Hollywood Reporter recently caught up with the trio of Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg to talk about how endings are made, the climatic scene where two infamous villains take their final bow, what it was like to bring back Mr. Miyagi, their meta cameos and that Back to the Future pitch, and whether or not Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) will find a new understanding and possible life-long friendship beyond the final episode of the series.

“One day she’ll return to the Miyagiverse”: Hilary Swank Would Have Kicked A** in Cobra Kai, but ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ Is Even Better
Image
What if the sprawling world of The Karate Kid franchise had another surprise up its sleeve? For years, we have wondered why Hilary Swank’s Julie Pierce never appeared in Cobra Kai.

Hilary Swank in The Next Karate Kid | Columbia Pictures

She was amazing as the protagonist of The Next Karate Kid, so it was upsetting to see that the show brought every character, from Terry Silver to Chozen, into the picture but left out Swank. Now, with Karate Kid: Legends on the horizon, reviving her character doesn’t seem to be off the table and makes more sense than ever.

“It felt a little too intimate”: Cobra Kai Was Right to Delete an Iconic Karate Kid Theme That Would’ve Made Ralph Macchio a Bad Guy
Image
Based in The Karate Kid universe, Cobra Kai has honored the original film series in many ways. Throughout its run, the show has brought back iconic characters and theme songs, such as Joe Esposito’s You’re the Best from the 1984 classic starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita.

However, despite its strong emotional connection, the showrunners opted out when it came to the theme song from The Karate Kid Part II. Co-creator Jon Hurwitz recently explained the reason behind their decision, suggesting that it could have unnecessarily complicated the narrative for Macchio’s Daniel Larusso.

The Karate Kid Part II’s iconic theme song did not make it to Cobra Kai

Following the redemption story of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) from the original The Karate Kid movie, Cobra Kai enjoyed a successful six-season run before concluding earlier this year.

'Cobra Kai' Showrunner Offers More Details About the Hilary Swank Cameo That Never Happened
Image
Cobra Kai’s showrunner Jon Hurwitz has addressed the cameo, or lack thereof, of Hilary Swank's character in the series finale. Swank played Julie Pierce in The Next Karate Kid, the fourth movie in the Karate Kid franchise and Pat Morita's last appearance as Mr. Miyagi. The film's reception was not good, and it ended up burying the franchise until the 2010 reboot. Although the showrunners and writers found a way to bring back almost every single character, even those played by late actors, Swank was one of the biggest legacy characters who wasn't present in the show. And we finally know the reason why.

The Netflix TV spin-off of the Karate Kid franchise concluded its six-season run as a funny and nostalgic series that expanded on the cultural landmark that made everyone start karate classes in the 1980s. The series used everything, from needle drops to nods to Easter eggs,...

Image
Quick LinksBack to the Future Had an Animated TV series? The Bizarre History of Back to the Future Epilogues ExplainedWhat Does Cobra Kai's Back to the Future Easter Egg Mean?

As fans reflect on the Cobra Kai finale and what the future holds, some may have missed a throwaway joke that reflects a wild cartoon from 34 years ago. Back to the Future remains one of the most beloved sci-fi stories ever told, and the idea that the Cobra Kai creators might be mulling over more Marty McFly adventures has certainly sparked curiosity. However, what many may not realize is that Doc Brown and Marty already had a TV series, one that took their adventures far beyond the movies. As audiences speculate about what is next for Back to the Future, perhaps it is time to look back, revisit the history of the series, and unpack the meaning behind that...

The Real Reason Hilary Swank's Julie Pierce Didn't Return For Cobra Kai
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Cobra Kai" Season 6 Part 3.

The best legacy sequels use familiar faces to attract franchise devotees while also introducing fresh characters to pull in a whole new generation. For six wild seasons of television, "Cobra Kai" managed to do just that, giving both the younger and older members of the "Karate Kid" property equal time to shine. There were, admittedly, moments when the show seemed in danger of sinking under the weight of all its callbacks and returning players. But "Cobra Kai" managed to push its legacy sequel inclinations to such extremes that it circled back around to being oddly endearing -- for the most part.

With each passing season, it also became apparent that pretty much any "Karate Kid" movie character, no matter how small, beloved or maligned, was fair game to return. Indeed, Thomas Ian Griffith's Terry Silver went from the slimy, over-the-top...

Cobra Kai’s Jon Hurwitz says they tried to get Hilary Swank to make an appearance on the show
Image
Netflix’s hit Karate Kid sequel series Cobra Kai has taken its final bow after making its last appearance at the All-Valley Tournament. The show brought back nearly all the legacy characters from the original movies along with several small side characters who were impressively incorporated. Many fans were wondering if the show would go as far as to include Julie Pierce, who was the focus of The Next Karate Kid and portrayed by Oscar winner Hilary Swank.

Julie did not make an appearance in the final leg of the show and Cobra Kai creator Jon Hurwitz has taken to social media to explain why. Hurwitz held a Q&a with fans and one of the questions simply asked, “why no Hilary Swank?” Hurwitz revealed that they had tried to arrange her appearance, but to no avail as he explained,

It wasn’t for lack of trying. We always loved...

Ralph Macchio Reflects on Controversial 'Karate Kid' Cameo in 'Cobra Kai' Finale
Image
Warning! The Following Contains Spoilers From Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3.

Ralph Macchio loves that Daniel Larusso enjoys a moment of reflection in the form of a flashback to The Karate Kid (1984) during the controversial final scene of Cobra KaiSeason 6 Part 3. While Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) exits to “drain the main vein” in the restroom, Daniel recalls the time he was able to catch a fly with chopsticks and Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) could not.

"Beginners luck," Miyagi scoffed in the flashback to the classic movie. However, back in the present day, Daniel isn’t able to replicate the feat he pulled off as a teenager because Johnny returns and smashes the insect before it can be secured by the chopsticks. Macchio said in an interview with Tudum about the final scene's callback to the 1984 film:

"I love the way they wrap that up. It’s so reminiscent of a famous...

Karate Kid Spin-Offs We Want To See After Cobra Kai
Image
Spoilers for "Cobra Kai" Season 6 Part 3 to follow.

Prior to "Cobra Kai" tapping out with its final season, one of the show's creators, Hayden Schlossberg, admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that he and his fellow creatives were exploring the idea of a spinoff series that reveals the untold history of legendary "Karate Kid" sensei Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita). While nothing is set in stone just yet, it certainly seems like the gears are turning to ensure that the world of "Cobra Kai" strikes back in the future with a brand-new tale or two. The most important question to consider, however, is exactly which "Cobra Kai" characters deserve to be revisited down the line.

Mind you, every risky new venture comes with the opportunity to not only shift the tone but also move the larger franchise in a different direction. Just look at how "The Karate Kid" changed course with "Cobra Kai,...

Netflix's ‘Cobra Kai’ Star Reveals Wildly Different Original Series Pitch for YouTube Red
Image
Cobra Kaistar William Zabkahas revealed some very interesting details about the original series pitch. Initially, the project's scope was not as big as it ended up being, and it focused almost completely on Johnny Lawrence (Zabka). It was a "redemption arc" and not much else. Luckily, Zabka asked the right questions to ensure things changed: "Well, you can't just go do a Karate Kid movie and not make sure that everybody's on board."

The martial arts comedy spin-off has come to an end with the sixth season giving closure to Johnny Lawrence's character arc. Yes, the show eventually became big enough to include legacy characters like Daniel Larusso and John Kreese as well, but as we saw in the events of the series finale, Cobra Kai was always about Johnny.

The actor spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, and he recalled how everything started with showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and...

Cobra Kai Co-Creator Reveals Why 1 Cameo Fans Wanted Didn't Happen

Cobra Kai co-creator Hayden Schlossberg recently revealed why one cameo that fans wanted to see in the Netflix series never happened. Schlossberg took the time to answer many fan questions on X (formerly Twitter).

"Was there ever any conversation of having a cameo from Niel Patrick Harris?" One fan asked Schlossberg on X. "I know Ralph and William's Himym reunion and Barney's thoughts on the Karate Kid lined up pretty well with what Cobra Kai ended up being, it would be cool to know if that would have been acknowledged." Schlossberg replied: "No, that would have taken us out of the story."

Cobra Kai Finale Was Almost Flawless, but Ralph Macchio Needed Hilary Swank More Than a CGI Pat Morita for Closure
Image
Released in 2018, Cobra Kai had a great run for six seasons on Netflix as an extension of the hit franchise The Karate Kid. And the series finale also delivered an emotional and action-packed conclusion that satisfied longtime fans of the franchise.

However, despite the near-perfect sendoff, one creative choice that continues to divide audiences has been the return of Pat Morita’s Mr. Miyagi through a CGI-enhanced dream sequence. Instead, the series could have avoided it by bringing back Hilary Swank’s Julie Pierce to resolve Daniel’s conflicts regarding Mr. Miyagi’s mysterious past.

How Hilary Swank could have helped in avoiding the controversial return of Mr. Miyagi

Ralph Macchio has shared that he wanted to honor Mr. Miyagi’s legacy throughout Cobra Kai. However, while the tribute carried emotional weight, it received mixed reactions from fans, with many finding the CGI and AI-enhanced return of the character unnecessary.

'Cobra Kai' Creator Says Daniel Larusso Did Not Need to Know More About Miyaki's Killing Moment
Image
Cobra Kai co-creator Hayden Schlossberg has addressed one of the mysteries left unsolved after the Netflix series' ending. With the series finale, viewers expected Mr. Miyagi's (the late Pat Morita) dark past to be expanded and explained in more detail, but this didn't happen. Instead, we saw the legacy character return in a dream sequence that didn't do much to answer the questions about Miyagi's participation in a karate match where his opponent died. Instead, it was a nostalgia-based scene that apparently helped Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) change his mind about his daughter's refusal to fight.

Schlossberg participated in a Q&a session on X/Twitter with Cobra Kai fans in order to answer a few questions about the Karate Kid spin-off that ended its six-season run a few days ago. The showrunner was kind enough to shed light on fan theories, spin-offs (an Iron Dragon series sounds awesome), and how some storylines concluded.

The ‘Cobra Kai’ Creators Teased a ‘Back to the Future’ Show in the Series Finale. Is That Possible?
Image
In the final minutes of the Cobra Kai series finale, the action moves to a Los Angeles sushi restaurant with real-life Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald seated at the bar. “The show would be set in Hill Valley, alternate 1985,” says Hurwitz. “All we need are Wilson, Thompson, and Zane, and we got the green light.”

For those of you who don’t speak fluent nerd, Hurwitz is talking about a Back to the Future show taking place in the alternative, dystopian Hill Valley we saw in Back to the Future II.

Pat Morita's Mr. Miyagi Return In Cobra Kai Explained By The Show's Creators
Image
"Cobra Kai" season 6 uses AI to resurrect Mr. Miyagi, which was a controversial creative decision due to the fact actor Pat Morita passed away in 2005. It's especially noticeable when he shows up to help his Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) defeat a group of skeletons and offer one last nugget of wisdom during a dream sequence. Some viewers will view it as a full-circle moment for the pair's relationship, while others will argue that it's yet another example of the Uncanny Valley haunting our entertainment.

While speaking to Variety, "Cobra Kai" creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg discussed their decision to bring back Miyagi as a digital dream ghost. Hurwitz revealed that fight choreographer Don Lee's body was used as a stand-in for Morita, and that he was honored to play his part in recreating Miyagi for the show. However, it was Macchio's idea for Daniel to fight...

'Cobra Kai' Creators Reveal If 'Back to the Future' Easter Egg Was a Spin-off Tease: "We’d Be All-in"
Image
Great Scott! The creators behind Cobra Kai have addressed the intriguing tease at the end of the show. Last week, Netflix released all the final Cobra Kai episodes, ending the Karate Kid spin-off's six-season run. If you stayed with Johnny and Daniel until the very end, when Johnny taught Daniel that chopsticks are not always necessary for catching flies, then you were probably confused by what happened just before that. Yes, we're talking about the unusual conversation between two strangers who we heard discussing something that had nothing to do with Cobra Kai.

The conversation is between Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz, two of the three Cobra Kai co-creators. One says, "So the show would be set in Hill Valley, alternate 1985. All we need are Wilson, Thompson and Zane, and we’ve got the green light." Hill Valley is, of course, the fictional town where the Back to the Futurefranchise takes place,...
