Not too long ago, there were rumblings that Marvel Studios was developing a World War Hulk movie. For all we know, that's still the plan, but the project has yet to be confirmed (perhaps that will change when the "Mutant Saga" slate is unveiled).

While this movie coming to fruition feels like wishful thinking in a lot of ways, it's not impossible. There's also a strong chance that certain moments and scenes are adapted elsewhere in the MCU.

This August, Black Cat returns with a new solo ongoing series written by G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and illustrated by Gleb Melnikov (Amazing Spider-Man). Spider-Man’s very own Felicia “Black Cat” Hardy is officially returning to the Marvel Universe this August with a brand-new solo series, led by some of the comic industry’s most talented and promising creators. With this return comes a new era for Black Cat, as she fully commits to being a superhero and leaves behind her morally grey tendencies.

August 20, 2025, will mark the official debut of writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Gleb Melnikov’s Black Cat series, which will kick off Felicia’s new era as a fully-fledged superhero.

This series will directly continue the events of Joe Kelly, Pepe Larraz, and John Romita Jr.'s Amazing Spider-Man #8–9 (2025), where Felicia’s “entire world turned upside down after Spider-Man's battle with Hellgate.” As a result, the solo series will follow Black Cat as she turns over a new leaf as New York’s newest hero, apparently leaving behind her character-defining career as a thief.

The new era of Amazing Spider-Man has begun courtesy of Joe Kelly, John Romita Jr., and Pepe Larraz. The series promises to take Peter Parker into bold new territory, and we now have a first look at July's issues.

In the halcyon days before Disney+, Marvel Television partnered with Netflix to make Marvel Cinematic Universe-adjacent television shows. That partnership lasted from 2015 to 2018, and the end of it meant all the Netflix-Marvel shows ended too — even "Daredevil," which ran for three seasons and concluded with the promise of more.

Of course, the new Disney+ series "Daredevil: Born Again" is essentially a fourth season, bringing back co-leads Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. But Daredevil only needed to be "Born Again" because the original show ended prematurely. Had it gotten a fourth season at Netflix, it'd look nothing like "Born Again."

"Daredevil: Born Again" returned Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) to TV screens. The series opened on a tragic note as he lost a close friend to sharpshooting villain Bullseye (Wilson Bethel).

In the current run of "Daredevil" at Marvel Comics, writer Saladin Ahmed recently had Matt face a similar choice regarding Bullseye. Previous "Daredevil" writer Chip Zdarsky ended his run with an amnesiac Matt becoming a priest. Ahmed picked up from there, but Matt was always going to go back to being Daredevil — he was back in the costume before the end of issue 1! What prompted that?

At the end of Zdarsky's run, Matt literally went to Hell and back, and something came with him. In a turn right out of "Fullmetal Alchemist," Daredevil has been fighting demons, each embodying one of the seven deadly sins. The story included in issue #19 with the sin that's strongest in Matt; not Pride, but Wrath.

Marvel just can’t stop stirring the pot. First, they made Mary Jane Venom. Now, they’re flinging Spider-Man way back in time to a period no one asked for. Fans wanted epic web-slinging, not a history rewind, but here we are.

Will "Avengers: Doomsday" have room for Doctor Victor von Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) himself? From 1977 to 1979, Marvel Comics published a 24-issue comic series called "Godzilla: King of the Monsters." This series integrated Big G into the Marvel Universe, however temporarily -- and now he's back.

Marvel will be launching a new series of six one-shots, collectively called "Godzilla vs. the Marvel Universe" (out as a full volume in September). Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, is one of comics' deadliest "normal" super-villains. May 3, 2025 is the first Saturday of the month of May, and many geek bibliophiles - or, more accurately, "Pannapictagraphists" - have that day circled. It's Free Comic Book Day. This year promises to be one of its most significant to date.

To celebrate what Marvel Comics calls the year's most anticipated launch, the debut issue will feature variant covers by today's top talent, including Eisner-nominated artist Simone Di Meo.

There are so many Spider-Man characters who have gotten massive respect and recognition as characters who can stand apart from Peter Parker. Major characters like Miles Morales and Eddie Brock have proven they can carry their own comic books. But not every character gets the respect they deserve. J. Jonah Jameson is still often flanderized into being a conspiracy nut who doesn't care about anything but destroying Spider-Man, and Madame Web is someone no one cares about, despite the fact she's done a lot to earn respect.

Released in 2010, Kick-Ass was a superhero black comedy film that starred Johnson as an ordinary teenager named Dave who becomes a real-life superhero called "Kick-Ass." Godzilla will soon set his sights on Marvel's first family, The Fantastic Four. It was previously announced that March 2025 will officially mark Godzilla's takeover of the Marvel Universe. The King of the Monsters will merge with Marvel for a new six-issue crossover event, where each issue will feature Godzilla taking on an iconic superhero among the company's roster. Now, we have been given a peek at the event's launch, and the crossover will gift Galactus an impressive new ally that even Godzilla would think twice before crossing.
