The most-awaited Superman trailer is here, providing us with the best preview of James Gunn’s movie so far. The trailer continues with the bright and hopeful visuals that the several teasers promised while making slight edits on some scenes that earlier received criticism. Overall, fans are really loving Gunn’s unique spin on the Man of Steel.
In addition to David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Jimmy Olsen, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, and Isabela Merced, we see several actors in their characters in the new trailer. One of the most prominent character reveals would be María Gabriela de Faría’s Engineer. Gunn has apparently checked every box to make fans, and here are the things he nailed in the trailer.

As we draw closer to the release of James Gunn's Superman and new tie-in merchandise continues to hit the shelves, these toy sets are beginning to get a little more revealing.
Possible spoilers follow.
The Luthorcorp Lab set below comes with action figures of Superman (David Corenswet), Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan), and Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) in his green (likely Kryptonite-infused) Warsuit. Also included are Krypto, and a mysterious green infant listed as "Baby Joey."
There's speculation that this could be the same creature spotted in the recent BTS featurette, or possibly even Luthor's not-yet-matured clone of the Man of Steel, aka Ultraman, aka the Hammer of Boravia. We still haven't seen this character without a mask, so he could very well have green skin.
While these toy sets don't always represent what we end up seeing on the screen, this little green fella would be...

DC Studios is keeping the momentum going from yesterday's Superman trailer release by sharing three new stills (via Entertainment Weekly).
In those, we see a tense confrontation between the Man of Steel and Lex Luthor, a behind-the-scenes shot with actors David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and filmmaker James Gunn, and the LexCorp CEO looking far from pleased.
The site spoke with Hoult about playing the iconic comic book villain, and the actor explained how this Lex is more than a match for Superman.
"Superman's so powerful and unstoppable in many ways that you need to have a character that feels like, 'Okay, how is this person dangerous? How could this person potentially win and come out on top?'" Hoult pondered. "He's obsessive and determined and relentless, and there's a lot of emotion pushing through all of that in a way."
"The gadgets and tech he's working with are beyond those things that we can imagine,...

The breathtaking new Superman trailer featured even more exciting kaiju action, but a newly surfaced toy set appears to reveal another of the movie's monsters.
As you can see below, there will be an Abominable Snowman-like creature in the Fortress of Solitude. Not every toy is representative of what we'll see on screen, though it seems unlikely that this has been pulled out of thin air.
In the comics, Superman maintained an elaborate game preserve in the Fortress filled with various interplanetary animals. Many of the animals found in the zoo were either representative of an endangered species or the last surviving specimens of destroyed worlds.
That could be the case with this beast, and we wouldn't be surprised if Lex Luthor and The Engineer encounter it while raiding the Man of Tomorrow's arctic hideout.
In April, filmmaker James Gunn talked about how embracing the comic books led to the...

Warner Bros. debuted a brand-new trailer for James Gunn's Superman earlier today. The latest preview for the first ever Dcu movie featured a lot of new footage, but also included a few shots from the initial teaser, and fans have noticed a change to one particular moment that sparked some debate online.
Though most of you will probably find this somewhat innocuous, some fans took issue with the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) blinking when one of the protestors throws a tin can at the back of his head.
The backlash seemed to stem from the notion that Superman wouldn't flinch in this situation, since he's pretty much invulnerable and constantly dealing with criminals shooting at him and all manner of other threats.
It's actually a fair point, but hardly something to get worked up over. Even so, Superman does not react in the new trailer, which suggests that...

The first full trailer for Superman swooped online yesterday, and the response from fans has been almost unanimously positive. That doesn't happen often, and filmmaker James Gunn's hopes to unite the world through its most iconic superhero now seem a little more likely.
Both from what we've gleaned through officially released material and plot leaks, Superman's story will be relatively straightforward and a classic tale of good versus evil.
Now, scooper Daniel Richtman has shared some insights, revealing that the movie has an episodic structure similar to Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's All-Star Superman comic book. It sounds like an approach that people will either love or hate; either way, it's something different.
It's important not to take this too literally, of course, and it feels like another example of Gunn embracing the comics to give the Dcu a much different feel than the Dceu, and its biggest rival,...

The first full trailer for Superman landed a little earlier today, and we now have a gallery of 4K screenshots from the sneak peek.
While we're sure you've already lost track of how many times you've watched the rousing preview, these highlight some key moments and characters, including David Corenswet's Man of Tomorrow.
While we'll be bringing you a full trailer breakdown a little later today, one of the biggest talking points has to seeing the "Justice Gang" in action. That's what we're calling Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific based on toy listings. Whether it's their official team name remains to be seen.
The villainous Lex Luthor also takes centre stage, as does The Engineer and Ultraman/the Hammer of Boravia (who may or may not be the same "person").
The rest of the supporting cast doesn't get much of the spotlight, though that is indeed Eve Teschmacher...

James Gunn’s new Superman movie is making waves as it sets out to establish the DC Universe, and with its first official trailer, fans are finally getting a deeper look at what Superman will face in this fresh chapter.
The trailer showcases a more grounded version of Clark Kent, played by David Corenswet, as he grapples with his role in the world. But beyond the action-packed visuals, the true core of the film reveals an ongoing challenge for Superman, navigating a world where his actions are constantly scrutinized, and the rules he’s expected to follow don’t always align with what he believes is right.
This leads us to a familiar dilemma in Superman stories: how far should the Man of Steel go to uphold the rules, especially when they conflict with his sense of justice?

DC Studios’ official Superman trailer is loaded with action but still makes time for multiple clips of Lois Lane conducting a contentious interview with the superhero. Lois’ questions lead to Superman insisting he didn’t illegally enter a country but instead stopped a war and saved countless lives. The three-minute trailer also features a little Krypto action, Green Lantern swatting an enemy, Hawkgirl ready for a fight, and a lot of Lex Luthor smirking.
David Corenswet stars as Superman / Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan is Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult is Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion is Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, Isabela Merced is Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl, and Skyler Gisondo plays Jimmy Olsen. Edi Gathegi is Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan is Rex Mason / Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría is Angela Spica / The Engineer, Sara Sampaio plays Eve Teschmacher, Wendell Pierce is Perry White, Pruitt Taylor Vince is Pa Kent, and Neva Howell is Ma Kent.

The first full trailer for Superman has finally been released, and it's guaranteed to give you chills (and you will believe a man can fly).
In the sneak peek, things get heated between Clark Kent and Lois Lane when she questions his actions as the Man of Steel; it turns out that his decision to intervene and stop a war didn't have the intended consequences.
Beyond that, this latest preview doesn't reveal too much about what's to come in the movie. There are plenty of intriguing hints, though, and some phenomenal visuals, including a new look at Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific in action.
We also get to see what The Engineer is capable of as she lets loose in the Fortress of Solitude. Ultraman, meanwhile, is shown sparingly and seemingly being kept largely under wraps by James Gunn for now. Lex Luthor looks positively unhinged, though, and is...

David Corenswet’s caped superhero makes its debut this summer and Warner Bros. has just released the first, proper Superman trailer. Take a look below.
We’ve had little teases of James Gunn’s Superman, but no full trailer, at least until now. Warner Bros. has just released the first full trailer for the highly anticipated superhero movie and you can watch it right below.
The trailer is a bit on the long side at 3 minutes, but it doesn’t offer a whole lot of plot detail, does it? Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor shows up and looks very evil as do various other superheroes such as Green Lantern, Mister Terrific and Hawkgirl. Oh, and there’s also Krypto, Superman’s dog. We’re very excited to see Krypto on a very big screen.
We do appreciate how the trailer draws attention to doing difficult interviews as Lois Lane grills Superman,...

When people think of superheroics, they focus on the lives saved, order maintained, and justice upheld. However, there’s another side to flying into foreign territory and laying waste to your oppressors. In the latest trailer for DC Studios‘ Superman, the Man of Steel faces the consequences of his actions, learning the hard way that saving the day isn’t as easy as rescuing bystanders, knocking out monsters, and causing untold amounts of structural damage.
In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind. After teasers, sneak peak scenes, and even product placement commercials, fans are finally getting a look at the first full trailer for James Gunn’s Superman. With the cinematic launch of the new DC Universe flying into theaters on July 11th, you can watch the new preview below.
Superman forgoes the typical origin story, instead establishing a world in which superheroes are already an accepted part of society. In fact, it seems Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane is well aware that David Corenswet’s Clark Kent is really Superman in disguise. The trailer opens with her interviewing the Man of Steel about stopping a war — potentially in violation of international law.

The long awaited final trailer for DC Studios’ “Superman” has finally arrived with the focus being placed on the film’s story. Watch it below.
The first part of the trailer is structured around an interview that Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) is conducting with Clark Kent/Superman (David Corenswet) about his intervention in a foreign war. Finally, Kent screams “People were going to die.” We get flashes of both that conflict and a battle seemingly in Metropolis, with a building falling over and Superman getting help out of a crater.
We see flashes of other scenes – a woman with spinning blades for hands dispatching robots at the Fortress of Solitude, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) glowering, voice over from Kent’s adoptive father Jonathan Kent (Pruitt Taylor Vince), plus glimpses of Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion). And, of course, Krypto.

Superman’s latest footage offers a new look at the titular DC Comics character’s heroics.
The full trailer for writer-director James Gunn’s movie was released Wednesday, ahead of the Warner Bros. feature hitting theaters July 11. Superman stars David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
The new film focuses on the titular superhero, who made his way to Earth from the planet Krypton and grapples with his powers while blending in as journalist Clark Kent.

It's the dawn of a new era in the DC Universe and Superman, fittingly enough, will be leading the way. Director James Gunn's first film in this rebooted franchise is both a litmus test and a statement of intent. It's one thing to take on the mission of charting a fresh new course for this pantheon of DC heroes. It's quite another to do so while also establishing a fresh new tone and taking a much more traditional approach to the most famous superhero in the world. Are audiences ready to accept a big blue boy scout, his energetic super-dog Krypto, and a world where superheroes already walk among them? The overwhelmingly positive reaction to the first official "Superman" trailer would seem to indicate yes, but we've still got a ways to go before moviegoing audiences end up having the final say.
There's plenty of time left before that,...

Previously titled “Superman: Legacy,” “Superman” is written and directed by DC Studios co-head Gunn. David Corenswet stars in the titular role opposite Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult plays the film’s villain, megalomaniac super-genius Lex Luthor. Other members of the cast include Skyler Gisondo as journalist Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as the Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.
When speaking to Variety at the 2024 SAG Awards, Brosnahan spoke about how excited she was to play the Lane, saying she was already familiar with the character before landing the role.

DC Studios released a new theatrical poster for James Gunn's Superman earlier today ahead of tomorrow's full trailer, and we now have a first look at some footage from the latest preview via a brief teaser.
Though it's only 15-seconds long, the promo packs in quite a few new shows. We get more of the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) taking flight, another look at Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), and a glimpse of Supes doing battle with "The Hammer of Boravia."
Spoilers follow.
This mysterious armored villain first came to fans' attention via a Daily Planet newspaper clipping spotted in some early promotional material. More recently, artwork featuring the character appeared in a tie-in activity book, and we also caught a quick glimpse of The Hammer in the Superman Day behind-the-scenes featurette.
There have been several different theories relating to this fella, and the armor's similarity to the design...

Warner Bros./DC Studios will release the first full trailer for Superman tomorrow, and director James Gunn has now shared a new theatrical poster featuring David Corenswet as the iconic DC Comics character.
We'll hopefully get a series of character posters to go with the new trailer, but for now, this latest one-sheet gives us another look at the latest big-screen Man of Steel striking one of the hero's classic poses.
We're not sure what to expect from this latest preview, but it sounds like the previous teasers only scratched the surface. In response to a fan on Threads who asked when we'll see "trailer 2.5," Gunn said: "You haven't even seen 1.0 yet - only a teaser and a sneak peek. I can't wait to show you guys the full trailer!"
Check out the poster at the link below.

It feels like we’ve already seen a lot from Superman, including a teaser trailer, a 5-minute preview, and a behind-the-scenes featurette, but a lot is riding on this one. Sure,Creature Commandos did give us our first little taste of the Dcu, but Superman will be the real test. Depending on who you listen to (or your opinions on the trailers), the buzz hasn’t all been positive, so Warner Bros. will want to push this one really hard to get people in theaters.

The upcoming Superman movie with James Gunn at its helm isn’t another retelling of an alien orphan landing on Earth. This skips the familiar tropes and goes into a world where we can already see our Clark Kent thriving.
Most importantly, in Gunn’s vision, Superman isn’t alone as he embraces a vision that is already brimming with heroes, connections, and yes, superpowered pets. After the drop of a new commercial and the announcement of a full trailer, let’s look at what we can expect from the first movie in the Dcu.

It's another big week for Superman fans! We're finally getting the second trailer forJames Gunn's highly anticipated film on Wednesday, but we don't have to wait that long to get new footage. DC and Superman are partnering up with the popular dog treat company Milk Bone to make the most out of Krypto the Superdog’s inclusion in the upcoming film. If you didn't think Krypto could get any cuter, this Milk Bone ad reminds us that dogs are even superheroes’ best friends.

Billboards across the world were lit up with news that the first full Superman trailer will be released this Wednesday, and the video has now been officially released online.
In this "motion poster" for the Dcu reboot, we see the familiar sight of Superman and Krypto together. However, this time, they're watching over Metropolis, and the teaser offers perhaps our best look yet at the fictional city's iconic skyline.
The Man of Tomorrow then takes flight before we get confirmation about the trailer landing on Wednesday.
So far, we've had a teaser trailer, a 5-minute preview, and a featurette for Superman. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see how much more of the story this full trailer reveals, not to mention the type of epic visuals comic book readers are hoping to see on screen.

We got word earlier today that the full trailer for James Gunn's Superman will be released online this Wednesday, and we now have a look at some new footage via a Milk Bone commercial.
As you might expect, the ad is mostly Kryto-focused, as we see Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi) feeding the rambunctious Super-Dog some treats as he (presumably) attempts to get the pooch to follow him. We saw this scene being filmed in set photos back when the movie was shooting, but Gathegi obviously didn't have the CGI dog to react to at the time.
The commercial ends with a new look at the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) waking up to find Krypto lying on his chest (awwww).
Check out the video below, along with some clips of the billboard teasers announcing Wednesday's trailer.

Following an extended break from social media, DC Studios co-ceo and Superman director James Gunn has answered a handful of fan questions, including one about whether Clark Kent is poor or from a middle-class background.
Weighing in on the debate, Gunn shed some light on how he's approached the Dcu's take on the character. "Our house in Superman is a converted double-wide trailer," the filmmaker said, explaining why he settled on that approach rather than the expected farmhouse. "I wanted his upbringing to reflect more closely the Missouri farmers I was raised around."
This makes sense and is another example of the authenticity that Gunn is bringing to the table with Superman. He's talked a lot about making the Man of Tomorrow more relatable, something that's often the case in the best comics revolving around the Kryptonian superhero.
Inevitably, some will see the word "trailer" and immediately find fault with...

Ahead of Superman's July release, director James Gunn shares how far along the film is in production as well as when fans can expect another trailer. Starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, Isabella Merced, Edi Gathegi, and more, the movie is expected to jumpstart the new DC Universe, a joint effort between Gunn and his DC Studios co-ceo Peter Safran. Though it is not an origin story, Superman follows an early-career Clark Kent/Superman struggling to uphold his principle of kindness "in a world that finds kindness old-fashioned."
Over the last few months, in anticipation of its release, DC has given Superman a teaser trailer, a television spot, a longer sneak peek, and a behind-the-scenes look. Even so, fans are clamoring to see more of Corenswet's Man of Steel. One such fan, @i.am_mpc, teased Gunn on Threads by telling him to "blink twice if the Superman trailer is ready.

During Superman production, the Fortress of Solitude was established within the Adventdalen Valley in Svalbard, Norway, with the location offering an encapsulating look that mirrors its comic book equivalent. Director/writer James Gunn revealed why the Norwegian archipelago was chosen...

The marketing campaign for Superman is starting to ramp up. However, with James Gunn confirming that the first Peacemaker season 2 trailer drops on Friday, the wait continues for more footage of the Dcu's Man of Steel in action.
In the meantime, a new promotional photo from Dairy Queen appears to show David Corenswet's Kal-El recreating the iconic cover art for All-Star Superman #1.
Gunn is all about embracing the comic books, and we expect to see plenty of familiar shots like this both in future marketing material and in theaters this July. Despite this nod, the filmmaker isn't adapting Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's magnum opus.
"I mean, All-Star Superman, there's a couple of them, but All-Star Superman is the thing that we borrow the most heavily from," Gunn said last December. "Our plot has nothing to do with All-Star Superman, but some of the aesthetics of what Grant...

There have been hints that James Gunn's Superman will put its own spin on real-life events, with many comparing whatever's happening in the fictional nation of Boravia to conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.
It's hardly a surprise, as many of Superman's comics have balanced Truth, Justice, and the American Way with politics; heck, Lex Luthor even became President of the United States for a time.
A multitude of Superman plot leaks have been doing the rounds in recent weeks. The latest pertains to Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord, and comes after the Guardians of the Galaxy star confirmed he'll appear in the movie this July.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, "Max Lord (Sean Gunn) only appears in one scene in Superman. He's on [TV], saying 'The one thing both the left and right can agree on is that Lex Luthor sucks.'"
Is that a joke anyone is likely to be offended by?...

New action figures for Superman have been revealed, and they show the Man of Steel finding a unique use for his Super Breath. While there's no guarantee that what's shown here will make it into the movie, the hero has armed himself with ice-gauntlets.
This would make for a cool—pun intended—visual on screen, and is a far more comic book-inspired approach to Superman's powers than other recent interpretations we've seen.
Also of note is the fact that Guy Gardner/Green Lantern comes bundled with some saw blade energy constructs. Mr. Terrific, meanwhile, has his patented T-Sphere weapons.
As for the villainous Hammer of Boravia (widely believed to be Ultraman in disguise), he looks like a suitably formidable opponent for the Dcu's Superman. We'll no doubt see plenty more merchandise in the weeks ahead, with the next trailer bound to showcase at least some of his abilities.

There's a lot of excitement and intrigue surrounding James Gunn's Superman, the movie that will launch DC Studios' Dcu. Fans remain eager for a new trailer (despite recently getting a 5-minute sneak peek and featurette), and it's rumoured to drop later this month.
DC Studios is separate from Warner Bros. in the same way that Marvel Studios largely stands apart from Disney. However, studio heads Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca still have their finger on the pulse, and told SmartLess hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes that they've seen an early cut of the reboot.
"I used to chase James as a producer when he did 'Slither' and started with his low-budget movies," Mike De Luca explained. "He’s really unique and I think DC is in great hands with the two of them."

While the majority of Dceu actors aren't part of DC Studios' Dcu plans, The Suicide Squad star Sean Gunn has already landed multiple roles in the reboot being mapped out by his brother, James Gunn.
The Guardians of the Galaxy standout stole the show last year in Creature Commandos as G.I. Robot and reprised his previous role, Weasel, as well. While he's bound to lend his voice to both characters in live-action somewhere down the line, Gunn's main on-camera role will be as the villainous Maxwell Lord.
The character is expected to be less of a full-blown baddie and more of an antagonist in the Dcu, bringing the Wonder Woman 1984 character (where he was played by Pedro Pascal) more in line with his comic book counterpart.

James Gunn's Superman figures to be one of the biggest movies of the year and Hawkgirl actress Isabela Merced and Engineer actress Maria Gabriela de Faria are reflecting on their experiences at different points of the filming process.
For De Faria who portrays one of DC Comics' most powerful characters, the Engineer, she reflected on the physical nature of her role. It sounds like she'll have some intense fight scenes, although we haven't seen much of the character in any of the previously released footage.
Speaking to Remezcla, de Faria stated, "This experience was super challenging physically, but it was also very challenging emotionally. My character as The Engineer is a very physical character."
"And not only because of the image that the character has in the comic. But because of all the things I had to do on set. here is a lot of fighting and flying there.

Our first look at Superman came in the form of an official still, though it was far more divisive than most early sneak peeks.
The intention was to show how different this Man of Steel is, with the hero lacing up his boots, one at a time. Unfortunately, it wasn't an overly flattering shot of the suit and Superman's seemingly relaxed actions seemed questionable with a huge glowing orb causing chaos outside.
The orb has been the subject of great debate; is it Metamorpho's evolved form, something Parasite-related, or could it even herald the arrival of Mongul?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, it's nothing quite that exciting.
"The big pink ball in the sky that we saw behind Superman when we got the First Look and then we saw it again in the trailer is a black hole that Lex created," the insider claims.
While this makes sense, we know it's...
