10 Worst Dceu Movies Ranked – According to Fans
Image
The Dceu began with ambitious plans to match the success of the MCU, with Warner Bros. aiming to bring iconic DC characters to the big screen over a decade. Despite financial success, Snyder’s darker vision for the characters didn’t resonate with audiences, leading to the eventual reboot with James Gunn’s Dcu. While some Dceu films were well-received, others were considered significant flops.

Fans have compiled their picks for the 10 worst Dceu movies. Let’s dive into their selections.

10. ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021)

After the mixed reception of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad (2016), expectations were high for James Gunn’s take on the franchise. However, some fans were disappointed as the film didn’t meet their expectations or align with their preferences. Gunn’s signature irreverent humor and over-the-top style, which were successful in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, didn’t resonate with everyone, contributing to its place in the “top 10 worst” rankings.

Fans Rank 10 Best Dceu Movies
Image
Dceu started out as a largely ambitious idea to replicate the success of the rival MCU. Warner Bros. came up with a decade-long plan to bring to the big screen some of the most iconic characters from the DC comic universe.

While the movies were profitable, the audiences disliked Snyder’s darker take on the characters and it was eventually disbanded with Gunn’s newly rebooted Dcu put in place. While some movies were considered to be disasters, Dceu did give us some timeless superhero hits. Due to this reason alone, fans gathered on Ranker to vote for the 10 best Dceu movies, so, let’s check them out.

10. ‘Blue Beetle’ (2023)

‘Blue Beetle’ was one of the last movies to be released under the Dceu umbrella, focusing on a superhero of the same name. Despite not attracting massive crowds to the cinema it was overall a decent movie with wholesome family...

What Happened To The Cast Of Chuck?
Image
NBC spy show "Chuck" was about a regular guy named Chuck (Zachary Levi) who works at a big-box electronics store called Buy More. After he inadvertently has a CIA supercomputer downloaded to his brain, Chuck becomes a super-spy, finding himself embroiled in all sorts of espionage antics ... all while trying to hold down his day job.

"Chuck" picked up a loyal fan base thanks to its trademark blend of quirky humor and thrilling action. Though the show was repeatedly in danger of cancellation, fans rallied around the series, somehow convincing NBC to pick it up any time it seemed on the bubble. "The fans of 'Chuck' have been incredibly passionate and supportive of the show," NBC entertainment marketing president Adam Stotsky told TheWrap in 2009, when the network leaned into all the online chatter with an online game that encouraged fans to spread the word about the show on social media.

The Rock and John Cena Almost Went to MCU Before Their Dcu Debut: What Roles Were the WWE Stars Supposed to Play?
Image
The Rock and John Cena are the biggest mainstream superstars synonymous with the WWE. Dwayne Johnson has been a Hollywood behemoth for over two decades, while Cena is on the path to becoming a Hollywood superstar. Before all the glitz and glamour, they gave their all in a wrestling ring and became so popular that the mainstream couldn’t ignore them.

The strangest thing about them is that they haven’t yet played any role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel films from both within and outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe have featured WWE stars, and there are also a few wrestlers who narrowly missed out on joining their ranks. That’s why it’s strange that they haven’t yet done roles with Marvel.

John Cena and The Rock were left out of the MCU for some reason or another

It’s also not like they weren’t considered.

Here Are 10 Best Dceu Movies According to Fans
Image
The Dceu began with ambitious plans to mirror the success of the MCU. Warner Bros. envisioned a decade-long strategy to bring some of DC Comics’ most iconic characters to the big screen.

Although the films were financially successful, Zack Snyder’s darker vision did not resonate with audiences, leading to the eventual dissolution of the Dceu in favor of James Gunn’s rebooted Dcu. Despite some movies being considered failures, the Dceu did deliver several memorable superhero hits. Because of this, fans have flocked to Ranker to vote for their top 10 Dceu movies. Let’s dive into their selections.

10. ‘Blue Beetle’ (2023)

“Blue Beetle” was one of the final films released under the Dceu banner, spotlighting the superhero of the same name. While it didn’t draw huge audiences to theaters, it was a solid film with heartfelt family themes and a great portrayal of the character. The exciting news is...

David F. Sandberg didn’t want to do another IP-based movie due to getting death threats after Shazam! Fury of the Gods
Zachary Levi in Shazam! (2019)
After the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, director David F. Sandberg was ready to swear off any further IP-based projects, telling GamesRadar+ that he actually received death threats from fans over the movie.

“I mean, to be honest, fans can get very, very crazy and very angry with you,” Sandberg said. “You can get, like, death threats and everything so after Shazam 2, I was like, ‘I never wanna do another IP-based movie because it’s just not worth it.’” The director was prepared to follow until he was sent the script for Until Dawn. “I was like, ‘Ah, this would be so much fun to do, to do all these kinds of horrors? I kind of have to do it, and hope that the people see what we’re trying to do and like it,’” he said. “I really thought it was brilliant of the writers to...

The DC Extended Universe Is Dead, Long Live The Dcu: Every Dceu Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
Image
The DC Extended Universe ended in 2023 with the sight of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's Orm eating a cockroach. After a disastrous year for the brand, it almost seemed fitting for it to conclude on such a bum note, but it wasn't all bad for the Dceu.

Sure, it was a rocky ride, and there were perhaps more misses than hits over the years, but it would be wrong to write this franchise off as a total disaster. A few of these titles were even great comic book movies, and it's those that the Dcu will need to compete with.

Ahead of Superman's release in theaters this July, we're ranking each of the Dceu movies from best to worst. Remember, this is only one person's opinion, and you're likely to have a very different take; we'd love to hear those in the comments section.

To see how we've ranked the...

'Shazam!' Director Wanted to Avoid Big IPs After "Death Threats" From DC Fans
Image
Shazam! director David F. Sandberg has admitted that he almost gave up blockbuster movies after receiving "death threats" from DC fans following the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods. It turns out that it wasn't just the movie's titular gods who were outraged, but also audiences, which led to some "crazy" backlash from "very angry" fans over his work on the DC Extended Universe (Dceu). He told GamesRadar+ that he nearly swore off working on another popular IP-based project, especially in the immediate aftermath of the negative response, but then the script for the video game horror adaptation Until Dawn came along.

"I mean, to be honest, fans can get very, very crazy and very angry with you. You can get, like, death threats and everything, so after Shazam 2, I was like, 'I never wanna do another IP-based movie because it's just not worth it. But then I was sent this script,...

‘Shazam!’ Director Almost Gave Up IP-Based Movies After “Death Threats” From Fans
Image
Although David F. Sandberg might be done with superhero movies, he still has some blockbusters in him.

The Shazam! (2019) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) director revealed that he got “death threats” over his work on the Dceu franchise, which nearly forced him to give up IP-based movies before his upcoming video game horror adaptation Until Dawn, which premieres Friday.

“What I loved about the script [is] that it wasn’t trying to recreate the game,” he told GamesRadar+. “Trying to condense 10 hours into two, or something like that. But it is scary still, even though we’re doing a new thing.”

Sandberg continued, “I mean, to be honest, fans can get very, very crazy and very angry with you. You can get, like, death threats and everything so after Shazam 2, I was like, ‘I never wanna do another IP-based movie because it’s just not worth it.’ But then I was sent this script,...

Major Dceu Director Admits 'Death Threats' From Angry Fans Scared Him Away From Comics Movies
Image
Comic book fans take their superheroes very seriously. So when Shazam! and its sequel Shazam! Fury of the Godsdidn't live up to their expectations; some folks sent death threats to the film's director.

Speaking to GamesRadar+, David F. Sandberg said the negativity from fans scared him away from the superhero genre. "I mean, to be honest, fans can get very, very crazy and very angry with you," he explained. "You can get, like, death threats and everything so after Shazam 2, I was like, 'I never wanna do another IP-based movie because it's just not worth it.'"

The Shazam! films brought a lighter, more playful tone to the Dceu, swapping grim heroes for laughs. Released in 2019, Shazam! introduced audiences to Billy Batson (Asher Angel), a teenage foster kid who gains the ability to transform into an adult superhero (Zachary Levi) after being chosen by an ancient wizard. Shazam! Director Says He Received Death Threats From Fans Following Fury Of The Gods' Release
Image
Before joining the Shazam! franchise, filmmaker David F. Sandberg was best known for horror projects like Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation.

He brought some of those horror sensibilities to that first DC movie courtesy of the Seven Deadly Sins, and 2019's Shazam! remains one of the best-reviewed Dceu releases. Shazam! Fury of the Gods, however, was a critical and commercial flop when it followed four years later.

The sequel utilised newly created villains rather than making good on that Mister Mind tease, but included a big Dceu cameo courtesy of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Despite that, Fury of the Gods didn't resonate with fans or moviegoers, and Sandberg quickly moved on to adapt PlayStation horror game, Until Dawn.

However, his Shazam! experience very nearly put him off working on another popular IP.

"What I loved about the script [is] that it wasn't trying to recreate the game," Sandberg started. "Trying to condense 10 hours into two,...

Greg Gutfeld Applauds ‘The Office’ Star Rainn Wilson for Calling Out MSNBC’s Biden Double-Standard: ‘Most Actors Wouldn’t Do That’ | Video
Image
Greg Gutfeld applauded Rainn Wilson for calling out MSNBC for having a double-standard with how they covered Joe Biden’s presidency vs. Donald Trump’s.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Five,” Gutfeld was quick to celebrate “The Office” alum’s interview with MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle where he voiced complaints over the liberal-leaning network’s coverage of Biden leading to media mistrust. The Fox News host said it was “healthy not to believe the media anymore.”

“What you saw there with Rainn Wilson is the evolution from an actor to a fully realized human being,” Gutfeld said. “Every actor begins as a blank slate and they embrace liberal beliefs because everyone around them in their industry embraces it. They adopt the same beliefs unaware that they just simply took on another role because they’re an actor.”

He continued: “If you’re lucky like Rainn, or Zachary Levi or Vince Vaughn,...

Disney Puts Live-Action Tangled Movie On Hold After Snow White Bombed At The Box Office
Image
Snow White opened in theaters last month to largely negative reviews and struggled to make an impact at either the North American or international box offices. As of now, it's made only $145 million on a reported production budget of $270 million (that number goes up to $370 million with marketing costs factored in).

Thanks to Snow White, the studio appears to be rethinking its approach to live-action remakes. The Hollywood Reporter (via Toonado.com) brings word that Tangled has been shelved.

Tangled was in active development with The Greatest Showman and Better Man helmer Michael Gracey on board to direct from a script by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Thor: Love and Thunder).

A remake of the 2010 movie starring Mandy Moore and Donna Murphy, recent Tangled casting rumours have pointed to names like Sabrina Carpenter, Florence Pugh, Taylor Swift, and Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn all being eyed for their roles. There was...

Snow White's failure just put the brakes on another live-action Disney adaptation!
Image
It looks like another planned Disney live-action remake may be pausing production following a major disaster for the company!

Disney is no stranger to bombs in its history. It comes with the territory in Hollywood. Every studio has its share of box office flops, and Disney has experienced more than a few in the last several years, like Wish and The Marvels.

Snow White, on the other hand, is something else. The live-action adaptation of the first Disney animated feature film hasn't just flopped; it's an absolute epic disaster in every way for the company.

To start with the finances, the film, which cost a reported $270 million (and might even be bigger than that) has grossed only $69 million domestically and $150 million worldwide. Throw in marketing costs and Disney is looking at a loss of $115 million.

That's compounded by poor critical reviews of the film, with many praising star Rachel Zegler but attacking the poor script,...

Disney Pauses Tangled Live-Action Adaptation Amid Snow White Woes
Image
Tangled is one of the most popular and beloved recent Disney movies. Which naturally led to a need for a live-action version.

Disney is known for its beloved animated Disney Princesses, which include both classic characters like Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, and Ariel, but also newcomers like Merida, Tiana, Moana, Raya, and Rapunzel. The latter got her own movie with the beloved 2010 animation Tangled. Disney was already working on developing a live-action version, but, per The Hollywood Reporter, the plans for the live-action Tangled are now paused amid its Snow White headaches.

There were conversations about the adaptation, but Disney confirmed the Tangled live-action remake in December 2024. Michael Gracey, who helmed critically acclaimed productions like The Greatest Showman and the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man, was in talks to direct. Jennifer Kayton Robinson, who helms the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy sequel, wrote the draft for the script.

Image

This is not only enough to make it the second-highest-grossing movie of Rachel Zegler’s career, but also push her career global box office total past $700 million. Snow White opened with $42 million domestically at the box office, and the live-action adaptation then fell a startling 66% during its second weekend in theaters, grossing only $14 million. A former DC star is open to returning to James Gunn and Peter Safran's rebooted Dcu, and some fans think she would make for a great Wonder Woman. Actress Grace Caroline Currey previously played Mary Bromfield in 2019's Shazam!, and even got to suit up as the hero Mary Marvel/Mary Shazam (known in the film as Super Hero Mary) in 2023's Shazam! Both films were set in the previous Dceu continuity, and with the franchise now getting a reboot with James Gunn's Dcu, the two Shazam! films and its semi-adjacent spin-off, Black Adam, are no longer part of the franchise's plans. Despite this, Currey hopes to return the superhero world someday.

Speaking with The Direct, Currey was asked if she would ever return to the DC Universe, with the interview specifically citing how fans have fan-cast her as Wonder Woman. "That's a loaded question.

Dwayne Johnson’s Cringey Attempt to Takeover DC Started Nearly a Decade Before ‘Black Adam’ Disaster – Green Lantern Arc Explored
Image
Dwayne Johnson played the role of Teth Adam in the Dceu film Black Adam, which was a failure at the box office and received middling reviews. However, the story behind the film’s making is more fascinating than the movie itself (which is not a huge feat but still). But, in the end, as Linkin Park said, it did not even matter as the franchise eventually got a reboot.

Johnson was set to change the hierarchy of power in the DC universe, but ended up promising too many things and delivering zilch. The Rock’s journey to becoming Black Adam and his desire to be the centre of the Dceu was a long one indeed, which involved him trying to get his hands on other IPs as well.

‘The Unbreakable Boy’ Struggles To Break Through Towards First Small Milestone
Image
While Zachary Levi may have found box office success earlier in his career, thanks to his role as Fandral in both Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok, but it’s been quite some time since he starred in anything that could be considered a box office hit. Levi stars alongside Meghann Gahy in The Unbreakable Boy, the teen drama that debuted the weekend of February 21 and has still yet to hit its first box office milestone. At the time of writing, The Unbreakable Boy has collected $4.7 million at the box office, and while it may trudge past the $5 million mark later this week or early next, it stands no chance of reaching any significant milestone beyond that despite playing on over 1,500 screens.

Razzie Awards: ‘Madame Web’ Wins Worst Picture, Francis Ford Coppola Accepts for Directing and Speaks Out Against an ‘Industry So Terrified of Risk’
Image
The Oscars will honor the best movie of the year this Sunday, but the infamous Razzie Awards have crowned the “worst” of 2024’s films.

Sony’s much-derided superhero film “Madame Web” has the (dis)honor of winning three Razzies, including worst picture, actress for Dakota Johnson and screenplay. “Joker: Folie à Deux,” another divisive superhero entry,” led with seven nominations and took home screen combo for Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga and prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel.

Francis Ford Coppola won for directing his big-budget epic “Megalopolis,” and star Jon Voight won supporting actor for the film — shared with his turns in “Reagan,” “Shadow Land” and “Strangers.” Coppola’s “Megalopolis” received six nominations, which was tied for second-most nods with “Madame Web,” “Borderlands” and “Reagan.”

The famed filmmaker responded to his Razzies on Instagram, saying “box office is only about money, and like war, stupidity and politics has no true place in our future.

‘Megalopolis’ director Francis Ford Coppola ‘accepts’ Razzie by slamming ‘gutless’ industry
Image
Francis Ford Coppola "won" Worst Director at the Razzie Awards for his ambitious, self-financed epic Megalopolis. And he actually accepted the "honor," letting the Razzies and Hollywood know what he thinks about them in an unfiltered social media post. "I am thrilled to accept the Razzie Award," he stated, "when so few have the courage to go against the prevailing trends of contemporary moviemaking!"

Coppola, a five-time Oscar winner, continued, "In this wreck of a world today, where Art is given scores as if it were professional wrestling, I chose to Not follow the gutless rules laid down by an industry so terrified of risk that despite the enormous pool of young talent at its disposal, may not create pictures that will be relevant and alive 50 years from now." He said it was an honor to "stand alongside a great and courageous filmmaker like Jacques Tati who impoverished himself completely...

Razzie Awards: Madame Web snags Worst Picture while Francis Ford Coppola basks in the “honor” of his many nominations
Image
The 45th Razzie Awards results are in. Sony’s Madame Web is the clear winner/loser of this year’s dragging of cinematic mediocrity with three wins, including Worst Picture, Worst Actress for Dakota Johnson, and Worst Screenplay. The Razzie results arrive two days before Oscar Sunday when films that some consider the best of the best have their chance to shine.

Madame Web taking the top prize is unsurprising given the movie’s abysmal quality. It was my worst film of 2024 and a Golden Schmoe nominee for worst movie of 2024, only to be beaten by Todd Phillips’s Joker: Folie a Deux. Dakota Johnson hardly tried to defend the film during its PR tour, saying she “probably will never make anything like it again.” To be fair, she enjoyed working with her castmates, who, despite circumstances, gave Madame Web the old college try, but the film turned into something...

Razzie Award Winners 2025: Madame Web And Joker: Folie À Deux Walk Away With The Top "Prizes"
Image
The Academy Awards take place on Sunday evening and, as has become the tradition, the full list of "winners" from the 2025 Razzie Awards has just been unveiled.

Madame Web took three wins for "Worst Picture," "Worst Screenplay," and an arguably well-deserved "Worst Actress" for lead star Dakota Johnson. It wasn't the only comic book adaptation to walk away with a prize, though, as Joker: Folie à Deux nabbed "Worst Sequel" and "Worst Screen Combo" for Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

The vast majority of celebrities and filmmakers ignore the Razzies, while few interviewers have the nerve - and understandably so - to ask celebrities about their "wins."

However, Francis Ford Coppola, who earned "Worst Director" for his critically panned Megalopolis, issued a scathing retort on social media today.

"I am thrilled to accept the Razzie award in so many important categories for Megalopolis, and for the distinctive honor of being nominated as the worst director,...

Razzie Awards: ‘Madame Web’ Named Worst Picture, Nabs Two Other Trophies
Image
While film fans will have to wait until Sunday to find out the winners of the 2025 Oscars, the worst in film this year, the winners of the 2025 Razzies, have been revealed.

Topping this year’s awards with three wins, including worst picture, is Sony’s critically panned box office bust Madame Web.

Madame Web also won worst actress for star Dakota Johnson and worst screenplay.

Johnson previously spoke out about her experience with Madame Web, saying the script radically changed from what she initially read and that she was unlikely to “do anything like it again.”

“It was definitely an experience for me to make that movie,” Johnson told Bustle in an interview that was published a few weeks after the film was released. “I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again, because I don’t make sense in that world.

‘Four Down’ Doc Based on Nick Schuyler’s Book ‘Not Without Hope’ to Open Sunscreen Film Festival (Exclusive)
Image
“Four Down,” a documentary based on Nick Schuyler and Jere Longman’s best-selling book “Not Without Hope,” will open the 20th edition of the Sunscreen Film Festival on April 24 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Directed by Steven Cantor, the docu examines Schuyler’s harrowing 2009 rescue by the U.S. Coast Guard, 43 hours after a tragic boating accident in the Gulf of Mexico claimed the lives of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and Schuyler’s best friend and former University of South Florida teammate Will Bleakley. Schuyler was found near death, clinging to the engine mount of the capsized vessel 70 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.

The 95-minute hybrid doc was filmed on location in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa, and at Lantica Studios in the Dominican Republic. For the film’s reenactment sequences, Cantor enlisted current commissioned U.S. Coast Guard members and officers. Interviews with Schuyler, members of the NFL community,...

If You Think Shazam 2 Was Bad This Will Blow Your Mind- Zachary Levi Creates an Embarrassing Career Record
Image
Things are not looking good for Zachary Levi who has been coming up with one flop after the other. There is no doubt that the man is talented when it comes to his work – after all, he has brought characters like Shazam and Flynn Rider to life! However, lately, it seems like his portfolio is riddled with projects that underperform at the box office and now, he is adding The Unbreakable Boy to this list.

The Unbreakable Boy (2025) | Credits: Lionsgate

Released on the 21st of February, The Unbreakable Boy is an adaptation of the book, The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love, written by Scott Michael LeRette and Susy Flory. While the film promised a heartfelt depiction of a father-son relationship, the numbers don’t look like much.

Box Office: ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Suffers 68% Drop in Second Weekend
Image
“Captain America: Brave New World” is losing momentum at the box office, even during a muted winter weekend with hardly any competition.

After a strong $100 million start over the extended Presidents Day holiday frame, Disney and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” crumbed by 68% in its second weekend with $28.3 million from 4,105 North American theaters. The Anthony Mackie-led superhero adventure, which remained in first place on box office charts, has generated $141 million domestically and $289.4 worldwide to date. “Captain America” cost north of $180 million before marketing, making the production budget slightly less expensive than other Marvel tentpoles.

It’s not uncommon for comic book tentpoles on the scale of “Captain America” to significantly slide in subsequent weekends. Yet this film, saddled with negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth, fell on the steeper side with a drop closer to 2023’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania” (down 70% after a $106 million debut) than “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3...

‘The Unbreakable Boy’ Review: Zachary Levi Is the Troubled Dad in an Autism Drama Too Feel-Good for Its Own Good
Image
How sunny and well-meaning and therapeutically feel-good is the new autism drama “The Unbreakable Boy?” It’s a movie in which the dad, played by Zachary Levi, has an imaginary best friend. It’s a movie in which the local church is run by a Matthew McConaughey sort of dude named Preacher Rick (Peter Facinelli), who’s so down with his downtrodden flock that he himself is a recovering alcoholic who admits he sometimes doesn’t like to go to church. And it’s a movie in which the title character, an owlish 13-year-old named Austin (Jacob Laval), isn’t merely autistic. He also suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, which means that his bones are extraordinarily fragile, so that he’s like some teen-geek version of Mr. Glass in “Unbreakable.” Speaking to the audience in voiceover, Austin lists his bone breaks, which number in the high twenties, as if they were Pokémon cards he was collecting.

Since the 1980s, Dennis Quaid has been one of Hollywood's most talented stars, leading everything from science fiction to thriller movies. That has been reflected through his many roles, leading some of the best blockbusters and best-written films of the last forty years.

Quaid's career includes a variety of movies from different genres, but the actor is best known for his common sense, wholesome and relatable all-American characters. Quaid's endlessly optimistic persona shines through in virtually every movie in which he stars, making him especially suited to family movies. From epic disaster blockbusters to heartfelt dramas, Quaid continues to be one of the most compelling stars of his generation.

Box Office: ‘The Monkey’ Drums Up $5.8 Million Opening Day, ‘Captain America’ Gets Second Term on Top
Image
Neon’s horror comedy “The Monkey” is seeing and doing a strong opening weekend, though it’ll take silver at the box office behind Disney’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” still on top of the charts but facing a substantial tumble in its second weekend.

“The Monkey” chopped into an estimated $5.8 million from 3,200 theaters across Friday and preview screenings. That puts it on track for Neon’s second-biggest opening weekend ever, only falling behind director Osgood Perkins’ prior horror film at the banner, last summer’s breakout “Longlegs.” Reviews have been positive for this follow-up, though audiences are mixed with ticketbuyer survey firm Cinema Score logging a “C+.” Horror films skew lower in those polls though; beyond that, “Longlegs” notched the same middling grade before legging out a healthy 3.31x multiplier on its opening weekend.

Even only taking into account this opening weekend, “The Monkey” is in a great position.

Zachary Levi Put Donald Trump Election Vote Before His Hollywood Career
Image
Zachary Levi believes that endorsing Donald Trump’s bid to become the President of the United States again “was more important than saving” his own 25-year-old acting career. The Chuck and Shazam! star’s political beliefs “trumped” — obvious pun intended — any worries he had about losing job opportunities in Hollywood, and he continues to act today, even after jumping aboard the "Trump Train" for all to witness. Levi said on The Megyn Kelly Show, while doing the press tour for his new film The Unbreakable Boy:

"I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career. I think we too often fall into these paradigms, these thought processes of self-preservation, and it is not good. We need to be wise, and we want to survive, and we want to live and flourish and all those things, but we can’t merely make decisions off of,...

The Inspirational True Story – and Real Family – Behind ‘The Unbreakable Boy’
Image
Four years after it was originally intended to be released, “The Unbreakable Boy” is now in theaters, and yes, it’s based on a true story about a real family.

The film centers on Austin (Jacob Laval), a young boy who is born with brittle bone disease. When his parents, Scott (Zachary Levi) and Teresa (Meghann Fahy), learn that he’s also autistic, they worry about what the future holds.

The question with any true story onscreen, though, is how much is really true?
