The drama series originally debuted on NBC in 2023. Shanola Hampton leads the cast, which also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi.
The official description of the series states:
“In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (Hampton), who was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and her crisis management team make sure there is always someone looking out for the missing. Gabi, however, has a chilling secret: In the midst of grief, she imprisoned her childhood kidnapper, Sir (Gosselaar). Exclusive: Found will not be getting a third season at NBC. The series, starring Shanola Hampton, may be shopped by its lead studio Warner Bros. Television.
The news comes ahead of the Season 2 finale, which has been teased as a showdown of sorts between Gabi (Hampton) and Sir’s sister Lena (Danielle Savre). The episode, which will now serve as a series finale, airs on May 15.
Found was canceled today alongside fellow NBC sophomore drama The Irrational. Coming from different studios, Found from Warner Bros. TV and The Irrational from Universal Television, the two series had similar runs.
Held as strike contingency, both shows launched in fall 2023 amid a dearth of scripted originals on the broadcast networks. Taking advantage of the lesser competition and potent lead-ins, The Voice (Monday) for The Irrational and The Voice (Tuesday) for Found, the dramas started off well on NBC and Peacock. The Season 7 finale of All American will air next week and, so far, there’s no word on whether that will be the CW series’ last.
Deadline understands that renewal talks are heating up, and The CW sources said there is about a 50/50 chance that the network’s last remaining legacy scripted series from the pre-Nexstar days will get a Season 8. Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll tells Deadline she remains “optimistic” that the series will continue, and she’s already begun work on an eighth season.
“I believe in unicorns and rainbows and gummy bears and all things happy. So, I am optimistic for Season 8, and I’m moving forward and planning as though we have one, because if I don’t, we won’t be ready in time when we get it,” she said Wednesday, while discussing the Season 7 finale.

Through his megadeal with Warner Bros. Discovery, highly successful and prolific producer and screenwriter Greg Berlanti will be returning to more hands-on creative work, specifically writing for three different shows, each being developed for a different streaming platform. One of those series is a horror thriller titled Stillwater, which will be created for Prime Video.
Some comic book fans will be familiar with the show's title right away, as it's based on Skybound's horror comic book series of the same name by Chip Zdarsky. Amazon has given Stillwater a series order, although it's unclear how many episodes the first season will have.
Berlanti is best known for his work on shows such as Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, You, Titans and Superman & Lois. He and Carly Wray are working together to adapt the Stillwater comic for the screen. They will also executive produce along with Zdarsky, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs,...

Greg Berlanti Developing 'Stillwater' Series for Prime Video Based on HIt Horror Comic from Skybound

Greg Berlanti has become known for masterminding some incredible TV shows, having been behind the DC superhero contingent in The CW’s Arrowverse shows and Netflix’s You, which has just wrapped its five-season run. Now he is already working on several new projects, including adapting the popular horror-mystery comic series Stillwater into a new series for Amazon Prime Video.
For many people, Stephen King will always hold the crown when it comes to small-town horrors, but writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Ramón K. Pérez challenged the great American horror author with their 2020 “modern classic” about a town where no one dies. According to Deadline, Zdarsky and Pérez are on board the project as consulting producers, meaning that fans of the dark, twisting tale will hopefully be getting a pretty faithful adaptation that could easily become the next WalkingDead or From.

Greg Berlanti is getting back into the writers room.
The mega-producer has three projects, at three different streamers, in various stages of development — including a series order for Stillwater, based on the horror comic of the same name, at Amazon’s Prime Video. Berlanti is also developing a high school mystery series at Hulu and a family drama at Max.
All three projects come from Warner Bros. TV, where Berlanti has a rich overall deal and has been his studio home for most of his career.
Stillwater and the Hulu project, Foster Dade, will also mark Berlanti’s first teleplay credits in several years. While the prolific producer has a “developed by” or creator credit on many of the shows his eponymous company has produced — including most of The CW’s Arrow-verse series — he hasn’t had a writing credit since the early days of You, which is now wrapping its run on Netflx.

Variety has learned exclusively that Williams will appear in the Season 7 finale of The CW football drama. Williams will play Eddie Blair, the Athletic Director of South Crenshaw High. The role actually marks a return to the show for Williams, who previously worked as an extra during the show’s third season.
“I am super excited to be a part of this new season of ‘All American,'” Williams said. “They treated me like royalty, put me in my own trailer, and made sure I looked top tier. It’s true, there are plans for a live-action series of Scooby-Doo. Netflix has just announced that a brand new series has been given the green light. We’ll be seeing Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, and all the gang on our screens again, but not as animated cartoons. This will be the first-ever series of the classic cartoon show to be made as a live-action TV series.
Sure, we’ve had some movies in that format over the years, with Scooby-Doo (2002), and the inevitable follow-up, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). Both scored big box office success, grossing a combined $430 million worldwide. And we've had a couple of TV movies with Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and its sequel, Scooby-Doo! Curse Of The Lake Monster (2010).
But that's a while ago now, and the ever-popular characters merit an exciting new venture and an up-to-date approach. It was talked about in 2024 but the Netflix green light confirms...

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? We got some work to do now! This just in: Netflix has officially ordered a live-action Scooby-Doo series, and we couldn't be more excited! Back in April 2024, the show was reportedly said to be in development at Netflix. Now, the streaming giant has given the green light to move forward with production, and the first season will consist of eight episodes.
This won't be the first live-action Scooby-Doo adaptation to hit the screen. The most well-known is the 2002 film Scooby-Doo, starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardellini, with Neil Fanning providing Scooby's voice. This was followed up by a live-action sequel in 2004, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which saw the return of the original cast.
Then, you had the live-action TV films Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster (2010) and the live-action direct-to-video film Daphne & Velma (2018). With Netflix's upcoming series,...

Scooby-Doois back, but it won't be how you left it. Netflix is officially tackling the next live-action adaptation of the beloved franchise, this time in the television format. In the early 2000s, there were famously two live-action Scooby-Doo movies made for the big screen, which eventually gained a cult status in the following years. However, Netflix is attempting to make the first modern spin on the property in live-action, this time following the blueprint set by other Hanna-Barbera TV adaptations.
Netflix has officially ordered an eight-episode Scooby-Doo series that will cover the origin of how the titular canine became part of the mystery-solving crew. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg will be handling the project alongside producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman (Berlanti Productions), and André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner (Midnight Radio). The last trailer leading up to the fifth and final season of You teases that Joe may actually get what he’s got coming. The two-minute trailer shows his past is definitely catching up with him. And when Joe declares, “At heart, I’m a normal guy,” while inside his cage, fans can only hope he remains in that cage for the remainder of his life.
The final trailer was accompanied by a new batch of season five photos.
Series star Penn Badgley believes the show’s return to New York City, where it all began, is only fitting. “My first memory of stepping into Mooney’s [in Season 1], the space felt big and new, and obviously now it just doesn’t feel that way to me. It’s very familiar, and it feels smaller, and maybe that’s just a metaphor for the whole thing,” said Badgley in an interview with Tudum.

In 2021, The CW ordered and shot a live-action “Powerpuff Girls” pilot starring Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, Yana Perrault and Donald Faison, only for the series to be canceled and never see the light of day — until now.
Footage from the canceled series has been leaked onto YouTube and made into a trailer. Sources at CW confirmed to Variety that the footage is real, but a final trailer was never assembled before “Powerpuff Girls” was axed. At the time of the cancellation, CW may have been putting together a trailer for upfronts, but sources say the leaked footage would not have passed CW standards. The network sometimes used outside vendors to assemble trailers, so the leak could have been a rejected trailer from a third party. It may also have been a Warner Bros. TV trailer created for L.A. screenings or San Diego Comic Con.
Nevertheless, the leaked footage spread on social media Thursday.

‘You’ Declares Joe the ‘Luckiest Guy in New York’ in Ominous Season 5 Teaser

“You” may be coming to an end, but it’s ending with Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) on top. That’s what the first teaser for Season 5 shows: a sneak peek that ends with Joe calling himself the “luckiest guy in New York.”
True to form for this unsettling drama, not much actually happens in this first look. Joe buttons his shirt and helps his latest victim — er, girlfriend — Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) into her dress. But his internal monologue tells a very different story than the mundane machinations of getting ready.
“Love tests us. I’ve been tested more than most. This is the last time,” Joe says via monologue. “I’ve been through it all —unlucky in life and in love until I met you, Kate. You opened doors for me I never could have imagined. We share a life I would have been quick to judge in the past.

Exclusive: Apple TV+ has landed for development Dilettante, a series starring Jeff Daniels as a character that will likely get the New York media circles buzzing, Deadline has learned. The project, from Warner Bros. TV and studio-based Berlanti Productions, is inspired by Dana Brown’s memoir about working for former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.
Written by Brown and Julia creator Daniel Goldfarb, Dilettante is described as a fictionalized coming-of-age story set in the glamorous and cutthroat “Golden Age” of magazines in 1990s New York.
Daniels will play a fictional magazine editor that is certain to draw parallels to Carter the way another work of fiction about a young assistant to a powerful New York magazine editor, the movie The Devil Wears Prada, has been evoking Anna Wintour as a prototype for its editor character played by Meryl Streep.
Jeff Bridges previously played a magazine editor loosely based on Carter...

“All American” Season 7 has officially arrived and it’s to hitting the field with even more edge-of-your-seat drama.
This time around, the show’s former lead Daniel Ezra is off to the sidelines as Nathaniel McIntyre, who plays Kingston “Kj” Jeremy, hits the green as series’ new star.
Here’s a description of the seventh season: “‘All American’ Season 7 is taking it back to where it all began: Beverly Hills High and South Crenshaw High. It’s the same heart, same NFL dream, same crosstown rivalry, same messy hormones, ushered in by a new generation of LA teens, a new Beverly Coach and our Og vortex fam, who are surprised to find they’re supposed to be the responsible adults now.”
“All American” is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios. Greg Berlanti, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Jameal Turner, Sarah Schechter and David Strauss are executive producers.

Joe Goldberg is going back to his roots for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s You.
On Thursday, the streamer dropped the first teaser and release date for the upcoming season, led by Penn Badgley.
You follows Joe Goldberg, a dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man who goes to extreme — and sometimes fatal — measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by. “In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires,” the show’s official logline reads.
In the new footage, Goldberg’s past and current love interests make an appearance, including Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle) and Kate Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie). However, not without complications.

Penn Badgley will return for one final season as serial killer Joe Goldberg in You season five, which just released two teaser posters. The two-part fourth season premiered in 2023, and Netflix confirmed the fifth and final season will premiere in 2025 after initially targeting a 2024 release.
“Every season they manage to find new space to make it interesting and relevant,” said Penn Badgley in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum. “And this season, I think somehow coming back to where it started allowed for it to just become grounded in the way that it needs to also have this kind of spectacular finish.”
Besides Penn Badgley, season five stars Charlotte Ritchie as Kate, Madeline Brewer as playwright Bronte, Anna Camp as Kate’s identical twin sisters, and Griffin Matthews as Kate’s brother. Michael Foley and Justin Lo are the writers, showrunners, and executive producers.
