Australian photographer born in the 1980's, still photographer of Lord of the Rings, Hobbit Village in New Zealand. Achieved two national AIPP silver awards with categories of Portrait and Illustrative. Commended award winner with different photo categories.
Born as Matthew Patrick Leane on August 21st, 1987 in Melbourne, Australia. Grandson of Olympic athlete Patrick Leane from the 1952 and 1956 Olympic games. His ancestry is Irish, English & Spanish among relatives. Matthew attended Photography Studies College in Southbank, averaging a distinction grade with both Advanced Diploma and Bachelor Degree qualifications.
First photograph published was the concrete jungle of Melbourne city with an editorial company 'The Conversation'. As an early student he was given an internship with a newspaper, photographing actress Asher Keddie, also meeting actor Anthony Lehmo Lehman for a publication photograph. During his studies video production was a highlight with titles, Cooking Illustrated and Morning & Night.
His first television appearance was from a weather broadcast on Channel 10 in the year 2013, also a second time in 2018 featuring a Phillip Island photograph.
After graduating from College, he visited the pub location of Mel Gibson in Ballarat. Highly commended award winner with international standard.
