No one knows how to do a locker room scene quite like Sex/Life. Jaws dropped in Season 1 when Cooper (Mike Vogel) gets an unexpected eyeful of Brad (Adam Demos) during a little gym reconnaissance mission in Episode 3. After a very, um, direct peek at a nude Brad, Cooper suddenly understands why his wife Billie (Sarah Shahi) can’t shake her ex.
You didn’t think Sex/Life would overlook one of its greatest strengths in Season 2, did you? In the season finale, Cooper is back in a locker room — but in a very different mental state. He’s hit rock bottom in response to his breakup with Billie and finally made strides to better his life. Unfortunately, Cooper’s journey to self-improvement did include an unfortunate accident with best friend Devon (Jonathan Sadowski) that ended with a sex worker biting off Devon’s genitals.

2023 happens to be the 15th anniversary of the release of the creature feature Cloverfield (watch it Here), which was directed by Matt Reeves and spawned an anthology franchise, being followed by Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 Cloverfield Lane and Julius Onah’s The Cloverfield Paradox. Last year, Under the Shadow‘s Babak Anvari signed on to direct a new Cloverfield sequel from a screenplay by iBoy writer Joe Barton. The only information we’ve really learned about this new Cloverfield sequel is that, unlike the original film, it won’t be presented in the found footage style. But during an interview with CinemaBlend, 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg revealed that the film is setting aside the anthology approach to be a direct sequel to the original film. He also said that it’s going to be “very cool”.

Remakes were all the rage in the 2000s. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Black Christmas, The Amityville Horror, House of Wax, The Crazies, My Bloody Valentine, The Hills Have Eyes – and the list goes on and on. And then there’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
A Platinum Dunes creation, the 2003 remake did what most remakes fail to do: honor the original while doing something wildly unique and equally as cool. Director Marcus Nispel, also behind the Friday the 13th remake, carves out a special place in the pantheon of horror by trusting his instincts and letting the cast play (and scream along the way). 20 years later, the bright spot in the sea of mediocre remakes still operates on all cylinders, and in many respects, outpaces the 1974 original.

It’s no news that Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos from Netflix’s drama series Sex/Life are a real-life couple. The series created by Stacy Rukeyser stars the two as Billie Connelly and Brad Simon, respectively, alongside Mike Vogel’s Cooper Connelly, Margaret Odette’s Sasha Snow, and Cleo Anthony’s Kam. While the series was canceled after Season 2 in April 2023, it wasn’t the end of the road for Shahi and Demos. The American actor and her Aussie colleague continue to forge a life together away from the screen. Sex/Life revolves around Shahi’s character, a suburban mother of two caught between her married...

For two seasons now, housewife Billie (Sarah Shahi) has been slowly losing the life she once knew in favor of chasing the high of her sexually adventurous youth. In Netflix's "Sex/Life," Billie finds herself torn between her reliable husband Cooper (Mike Vogel), and Brad (Adam Demos), the hunky Australian ex who wanders back into her life. Later, when the romantic house of cards she's built tumbles down completely, she ends up hooked on a new man, restaurant owner Majid (Darius Homayoun). "Sex/Life" definitely isn't Netflix's best show, but plenty of fans still like the "Sex and The City"-style series because it's a reliably steamy adult-oriented romance.
Apparently, though, Billie's wild ride has come to an end. Variety is reporting that the Stacy Rukeyser-created show "Sex/Life" has been canceled after just two seasons. Luckily, though, the show actually wrapped up most of its major plotlines in its latest season finale.

Sex/Life has been cancelled by Netflix days after the show’s star Sarah Shahi criticised the “gimmicky” second season.
Following the viral success of season one in 2021, Netflix’s erotic thriller returned for a second season in March. Shahi returned as series lead Billie Connelly, while Mike Vogel and Adam Demos (Shahi’s real-life partner) came back as the two men she is in a love triangle with.
However, in a recent interview, Shahi claimed that she was not happy with the second season of the drama and had not received the same levels of “support”.
“I mean, I’m never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can’t lie,” she said.
On Friday (7 April), a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that Sex/Life had been cancelled after two seasons, having come to a natural close after season two.

Netflix has canceled Sex/Life after two seasons. The news isn’t all that surprising as series star Sarah Shahi recently signed on to star in ABC’s legal drama Judgement.
Inspired by B.B. Easton’s 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life starred Sarah Shahi as Billie Connelly who, “exhausted from taking care of her two kids and feeling nostalgic for the free-spirited life she lived in New York with her best friend Sasha (Margaret Odette) before marrying loving and reliable Cooper (Mike Vogel), starts journaling and fantasizing about her exploits with an ex (Adam Demos).” While the first season of Sex/Life had 232.70 million hours of viewing time over a nearly four-week period, the second season only had 126.8 million hours in a similar time frame. That’s a drop of about 45%, so you can understand why Netflix canceled Sex/Life.

Netflix‘s Sex/Life has been canceled after delivering its long-awaited second season starring Sarah Shahi, Adam Demos, Margaret Odette, and Mike Vogel. The series focused on a love triangle between Shahi’s Billie, her husband Cooper (Vogel), and her past, all while taking a provocative new look at female identity and desire. After debuting in June of 2021, viewers were eager for the show’s return which didn’t take place until the beginning of March 2023. It seems that the lengthy waiting period didn’t do the show any favors, as it likely contributed to its Season 2 performance. But while viewership is likely a factor in the show’s fate, Shahi recently spoke out about her Season 2 experience and how it differed from the supportive one she had during Season 1. (Credit: Sabrina Lantos/Netflix) Speaking on Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Tuesday, April 4, Shahi said the production was a “challenge.

Netflix’s “Sex/Life” has been taken off life support. The erotic drama series will not return for a third season at the streamer, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed to IndieWire.

Netflix has canceled its drama series Sex/Life after two seasons.
The decision comes five weeks after the show’s second season (consisting of six episodes, down from eight in season one) debuted — and three weeks after star Sarah Shahi signed on to star in Judgement, a legal drama in contention for next season at ABC.
Season two brought an ending of sorts to the story as Shahi’s Billie reunited with her ex, Brad (Adam Demos), and got married on a beach. Showrunner Stacy Rukeyser, however, told The Hollywood Reporter that she didn’t view the last episode as the end of the series.
“The episode was never intended to be a series finale, that’s for sure,” Rukeyser told THR a week after season two premiered. “I know there are always more stories to tell with these characters in the Sex/Life universe, and I hope we get the chance to tell those stories.

[This story includes major spoilers for Sex/Life season two.]
Sex/Life‘s second season brings to life the concept of two roads diverged.
The Netflix hit ended its first season on a major cliffhanger that saw Billie (Sarah Shahi) run to Brad’s (Adam Demos) loft in Manhattan six months after she said she was going to strictly focus on her marriage. “Oh God, it’s not enough,” she says, as she leaves husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) at home in Connecticut with the kids.
When season two kicks off, Billie is in a new apartment of her own in the city and separated from Cooper. In flashbacks, viewers find out that, while Brad still clearly has feelings for Billie, he viewed her turning down his season one proposal as a sign to move on — and into bed with someone else.

As the first season of Netflix’s Sex/Life wrapped up, our heroine Billie (Sarah Shahi) found herself in a bit of a pickle. On the one hand, she had Cooper (Mike Vogel), her drop-dead gorgeous, chiseled husband, a great father to her two small children with a lucrative job that was helping save the world. But the sex? Meh. On the other hand, she had Brad (Adam Demos), her drop-dead gorgeous, chiseled past love, a mega-rich music producer unfortunately burdened with abandonment issues that made him a bit of a douchebag.

Sex/Life has returned for its second season – and there’s one moment that’s sure to get viewers talking as much as that season one shower scene.
The drama, which was first released on Netflix in 2021, followed Billie (Sarah Shahi), a restless married woman who begins reminiscing about her former lover Brad (Adam Demos).
The show became known for its explicit sex scenes and nudity, with one particularly talked-about scene occurring when Brad is changing at the gym and the camera shows his penis.
Season two arrived on the platform on Thursday (2 March), with one scene in episode six raising eyebrows for similar reasons.
In the scene, Billie’s husband Devon (Mike Vogel) is in the gym changing room with his colleague Devon (Jonathan Sadowski), who is talking about his recent penis reconstruction surgery.

Sex/Life is a Netflix series based on the book by Bb Easton. It stars Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel and Adam Demos.

Something like 67 million households streamed season one of Netflix's steamy hit "Sex/Life" after it dropped last year - and apparently, a handful of them have children at star Sarah Shahi's kids' school.
"My kids' elementary school, I became notorious over there," Shahi jokes to Popsugar during a recent interview. "And I had to disguise myself for a bit because I became the poster child for unhappily married women. And so there was a lineup. I was like Dr. Ruth at 7-year-olds's birthday parties, just giving out love and relationship advice."
Shahi, who shares three kids with her ex Steve Howey - son William, 13, and twins Violet and Knox, 8 - is still "grateful," though, for every "beautiful" encounter she has with a fan who connected with Billie - even when they don't initially recognize her at first.

Sarah Shahi may have never played a character like Billie prior to starring in Netflix's "Sex/Life," but it turns out they have a lot in common. In the hit series, Shahi plays a suburban mom who's stuck in a complicated love triangle between her husband, Cooper (Mike Vogel), and ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos). In addition to the fact that Shahi and Demos are now a real-life couple, Shahi previously told Us Weekly that she "found a lot about Billie" that she could relate to.
"I'm a mother of three incredible children myself and having been in a long-term relationship in the past, I often found myself questioning some of the things that Billie was questioning - her desire for sort of this sexual freedom and liberation that she was feeling," Shahi told the outlet.
Before her relationship with Demos, Shahi was married to fellow actor Steve Howey from 2009 to 2021. They share three children,...

One of the most surprising hits of 2021 on Netflix is returning next month.
The official trailer for Sex/Life Season 2 is here, and it looks like Billie will have a new love interest in mind.
The trailer also seemingly confirms that it's all over between Billie and Cooper.
"I'm not [upset], I'm just done," Cooper says.
Things aren't much better with Brad, either.
"I came to you six months ago with a ring," he tells her, adding the following:
"You said no, and now it's too late."
As for the new man in Billie's life, Majid (played by Darius Homayoun), he looks like a lot of fun.
The first season featured plenty of steamy twists that got the fans talking -- and streaming.
Will the show be able to live up to its moniker again for the second time?
We'll need to tune in when the series returns, but if the trailer is any indication,...

In the video above, Billie and Brad are far from together, as he reveals he’s with someone new following Billie’s rejection of his proposal last season. And Cooper (Mike Vogel) declares his and Billie’s marriage is all but over. With her husband and her lover scorned, Billie has no choice but to move on. She ends up diving into a new fling with Darius Homayoun‘s Majid (below). Sabrina Lantos/Netflix Sex/Life is the story of a love triangle between a woman, her husband, and her past that takes a provocative new look at female identity and desire. Viewers want more Sex/Life, and Season 2 is on the way over at Netflix, but it’s been almost two years since the series debuted. There have been little to no updates in the interim, but it’s safe to assume that Sex/Life Season 2 will be coming out in 2023. Season 1 of the erotic drama tracked Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) and the love triangle between her, her husband, and her past. Based on Bb Easton’s novel 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life takes a provocative look at female identity and desire. Before stay-at-home mom Billie married the loving and reliable Cooper (Mike Vogel) and moved to Connecticut, she was a free-spirited wild child living in New York City with her best friend, Sasha (Margaret Odette). She worked hard and played even harder. Exhausted from caring for her two young kids and feeling nostalgic for her wild past, Billie starts journaling and fantasizing about...

We’re happy to report that this Goddard – Abrams – Reeves monster thriller holds up, when most everything else from the years of shaky-cam nausea and ‘found footage’ boredom disappoints. The ‘found’ video recording of the end of NYC is more than a gimmick, and it brings the panic for a you-are-there night of mayhem, chaos and destruction. The show was engineered to look like low-grade amateur video footage . . . so . . . why a 4K presentation? Curious format-philes will want to know.

(Welcome to Tales from the Box Office, our column that examines box office miracles, disasters, and everything in between, as well as what we can learn from them.)
Found footage was, it's easy to forget, a pretty major revolution in popular cinema. With roots dating back to "Cannibal Holocaust" in 1980, the form went mainstream with "The Blair Witch Project" in 1999. The film became an unexpectedly huge hit with its low-tech approach and ultra-tiny budget, and the subgenre absolutely exploded in the 2000s. This was, in part, because the movies could be made very cheaply and, secondly, because audiences were eating this stuff up. "Paranormal Activity" still ranks as the most profitable film of all time. The found footage boom was a huge, huge deal.
But, nearly a decade into the craze, the time for reinvention was upon us. Using the low-budget, supernatural horror approach can only take one so far.

The apocalyptic world of “Cloverfield” is expanding.
A yet-untitled sequel was announced by Paramount Pictures, as first reported by Deadline, with BAFTA winner Babak Anvari (“Under the Shadow”) set to direct. Screenwriter Joe Barton (“The Lazarus Project”) is penning the script.
Original “Cloverfield” director Matt Reeves, who went on to helm “The Batman,” is serving as an executive producer, with J.J. Abrams producing from Bad Robot, along with Hannah Minghella and Jon Cohen. Bryan Burk and “Cloverfield” screenwriter Drew Goddard will also executive produce.
The “Cloverfield” universe first started with Reeves’ 2008 fictional found-footage film about a monster attack in New York City. Mike Vogel, Lizzy Caplan, T.J. Miller, and Theo Rossi starred.
Eight years later, the 2016 film “10 Cloverfield Lane” marked Dan Trachtenberg’s feature directorial debut and starred Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a woman held captive by a conspiracy theorist, played by John Goodman. The film’s twist ending...

Several years ago, this writer spent some time on the set of the NBC military drama The Brave and had the opportunity to talk mom-to-mom with Anne Heche.
She was playing The Brave’s leading role of badass Patricia Campbell, the head of operations for the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, opposite Mike Vogel (Under the Dome), who led a second surveillance team.
The role required 12 to 14-hour days and the cast and crew explained that they became like a second family led by “den mother Anne Heche,” who frequently fed them and looked after them. The 13-episode one-season series even took them to Afghanistan for the fourth episode where they cemented their bonds.

Sex/Life Season 2 is on the way over at Netflix. Exhausted from taking care of her two young kids and feeling nostalgic for her wild past, Billie starts journaling and fantasizing about her passionate exploits with her ex-boyfriend, Brad (Adam Demos), the one that got away. But the more Billie remembers, the more she wonders how she ended up in her quiet suburban life, questioning everything about it. And then her husband finds her journal.
