Has played rabbis in many movies and TV shows, including Do Unto Others (1999), Circumdecision (2008), I Don't (2007), A Serious Man (2009), Chapter 3: A Prostate Enlarges (2018), Three Dots (2018), and The Circumcision (2021).

His father was the owner and C.E.O of the world-famous Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston. He and his five brothers grew up in a penthouse apartment at the hotel.
