Paramount Pictures has just released a new preview for Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which gives fans a closer look at the incredible helicopter stunt first seen in the Super Bowl trailer released this past Sunday. Long before production on the movie began, producer David Ellison teased that Tom Cruise will be pulling off his most death-defying stunt ever in this movie, which took many fans by surprise after 2015's Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation, which opened with Tom Cruise holding onto the door of a cargo plane as it took off. Now it's clear that the producer was telling the truth, as we go deeper into harrowing scene.
While there are no details as to how this stunt fits into the story, or where in the movie this scene will take place, this preview begins with director Christopher McQuarrie, the first filmmaker to direct two Mission: Impossible movies back-to-back, revealing that...

Tom Cruise is giving a behind-the-scenes look at his latest death defying Mission: Impossible stunt.
The actor, who’s made a career of performing high-risk action sequences without a double, learned to fly a helicopter in record time for the upcoming installment of the series, Mission: Impossible — Fallout.
“Flying a helicopter takes a lot of skill,” says aerial coordinator Marc Wolff in a teaser video released Wednesday. “To put someone like Tom in a situation like this is almost impossible to imagine.”
“It takes something like three months of eight hour days to become a novice helicopter pilot,” adds the film’s director Chris McQuarrie.

On Wednesday, actor LeVar Burton launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $1 million to bring back Reading Rainbow. On Thursday, the $1 million was raised. And by Friday, nearly $3 million had been donated — and there are still 32 days left to contribute to the campaign. Talk about a fundraising success.
The Reading Rainbow TV show, hosted by Star Trek: The Next Generation star Burton, launched in 1983 as a program encouraging kids to read and continued its run on PBS until 2006. A few years later, Burton got together with business partner Mark Wolfe to create a Reading Rainbow tablet app, which went on to...

Today's clip is stylish, sensual and surreal, and comes with some serious cred behind the camera: acclaimed UK progressive metallers Tesseract called upon Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Mark Wolf and the team behind the practical effects in Prometheus for their new video “Singularity,” a sort of live-action spin on the racy Japanese anime subgenre known as “Tentacle Hentai.” For those of you unfamiliar with that term, don't go racing to Google it if you're at work... let's just say it usually involves intimate relations between young women and demonic or alien creatures, with a heavy emphasis on squid-like appendages. While “Singularity,” which just premiered today, takes a more tasteful (and mostly work-safe) approach, the concept is basically the same... Tesseract - Singularity (Official Video) “Singularity” comes from Tesseract's second full-length album Altered State, an ambitious concept record which addresses the transformations the band has gone through over the past few years.

Marc Wolf’s one-man Off Broadway show took an interesting twist during its transformation into a digital series. For starters, it was originally titled Another American: Asking and Telling. The play, based on Wolf’s interviews with over 150 gay and lesbian military personnel (as well as others) deeply affected by the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, premiered at the 99 seat DR2 theatre in New York City. In a miraculous twist of fate, one of the theatre patrons was former Disney CEO and Vuguru founder Michael Eisner. He liked the show and left the theatre with the idea of turning Wolf’s work into the digital program that would soon become Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Adapting a one-man show isn’t a normal occurrence in the web series world, but Vuguru brought in a director and well known creative consultant to turn the play into a multi-platform property.

SnagFilms has acquired "Don’t Ask Don’t Tell," a film that tells the stories of 18 real-life characters who were impacted on both sides of the controversial policy. "Don’t Ask Don’t Don’t Tell" is an adaptation of Marc Wolf’s Obie Award-winning one-man show, "Another American: Asking and Telling." Directed by John C. Walsh, "Don't Ask Don't Tell" uses three years of interviews with hundreds of soldiers and veterans, male and female, ...

Justin Timberlake has reportedly just attached himself to star in the Joel Silver–produced buddy cop comedy "Fully Automatic" at Warner Bros. Pictures says Vulture.
The story follows two rookie cops out to make their mark and who team with a female former Delta Force operative to stop a mercenary who has stolen a cache of weapons.
The script has been reportedly hanging around the studio for years and "Running Scared" helmer Wayne Kramer was attached to direct back in 2009. Marc Wolff penned the latest draft of the script.

For the fourth consecutive year Hollywood has selected its Black List, a compilation of the top unproduced screenplays for 2009. Over 300 film professionals were asked to submit the titles of up to ten of their favorite screenplays. The only condition for the picks were that the projects would not be released in theaters this year. That means some of the Black List honorees may be in the process of being turned into movies but by far the majority remain thoughts on digital ink, a blueprint for grand dramatic ideas, high-reaching adventure and controversial ideas waiting to be burned to light.
For a screenplay to have made it onto the Black List it must have received at least five votes for it. Some scripts have five votes while the top-rated screenplay received 47 votes. That doesn't mean that the script with the most votes is the best screenplay of the year; it means...

When you're making the film where we, in effect, known the end-- or sort of know the end. So, that you have to build-- create a sense of dramatic tension. Wayne Kramer is one of the most under-appreciated writer-directors working today. "The Cooler" is a great drama that folks will put up as a highlight in both William H. Macy and Maria Bello's careers and "Running Scared" is the best thing Paul Walker has ever done by about a mile. While I do think that his upcoming film, "Crossing Over" (with no John Edwards!) looks painfully derivative, the fact that he's behind it makes me want to see it. However, I am much more excited for his next film, "Fully Automatic" even though Marc Wolff is credited as the writer and not Kramer. According to Variety, the plot ollows two rookie cops out to make their mark and who team with a female former Delta Force operative to stop a mercenary who has stolen a cache of weapons. It's supposed to be in the vein of "Lethal Weapon" and...

Joel Silver’s attempts to get Lethal Weapon 5 off the ground may have stalled – at least, for now - when Mel Gibson declined to return, but it hasn’t stopped Silver from dipping his toe back into the buddy movie genre. And thank God for that. For the man who produced The Last Boy Scout, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Road House as well as the Lethal Weapon series is now set to add Fully Automatic to that list, with Wayne Kramer coming on board to direct.Kramer, whose Running Scared was an effective action thriller, will take a pass at the script, which is currently by Marc Woolf. The story, which sounds very Shane Black, will follow two rookie (and, no doubt, wisecracking) cops who team up with a female Delta Forces operative in order to stop a mad mercenary who’s stolen a horde of weapons.Sounds...

Wayne Kramer has signed on to direct Fully Automatic, a buddy action film that is said to be in the vein of Lethal Weapon. Joel Silver, whose Silver Pictures launched the Mel Gibson and Danny Glover franchise, is producing. The story follows two rookie cops out to make their mark and who team with a female former Delta Force operative to stop a mercenary who has stolen a cache of weapons. The most recent draft was written by Marc Wolff. Kramer will do a pass on the script. Kramer’s credits include the Paul Walker action flick Running Scared, Mindhunters and the William H. Macy and Alec Baldwin drama, The Cooler. He most recently completed production on Crossing Over, a multi-character drama starring Harrison Ford about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles. It’s set to open in February. Production is slated to begin later this year.
