10 Worst Dceu Movies Ranked – According to Fans
Image
The Dceu began with ambitious plans to match the success of the MCU, with Warner Bros. aiming to bring iconic DC characters to the big screen over a decade. Despite financial success, Snyder’s darker vision for the characters didn’t resonate with audiences, leading to the eventual reboot with James Gunn’s Dcu. While some Dceu films were well-received, others were considered significant flops.

Fans have compiled their picks for the 10 worst Dceu movies. Let’s dive into their selections.

10. ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021)

After the mixed reception of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad (2016), expectations were high for James Gunn’s take on the franchise. However, some fans were disappointed as the film didn’t meet their expectations or align with their preferences. Gunn’s signature irreverent humor and over-the-top style, which were successful in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, didn’t resonate with everyone, contributing to its place in the “top 10 worst” rankings.

Every ‘Final Destination’ Movie Ranked, Including ‘Final Destination Bloodlines’
Image
Death always finds a way.

This was the central conceit of “Final Destination,” a 2000 horror movie, released just past the slasher movie renaissance that began with “Scream” in 1995, that went on to have a uniquely satisfying run all its own. Each movie starts with a group of strangers narrowly avoiding calamity, with the rest of the runtime filled with death eagerly hunting them through ingenious accidents. The latest film, “Final Destination Bloodlines,” was originally earmarked for a streaming debut but has mercifully shifted into a theatrical event – the kind of movie that you laugh and scream along with a packed auditorium full of similarly anxious strangers.

In honor of “Final Destination Bloodlines” and in celebration of one of the most creative horror franchises of all time, we’re going through the entire series – ranking the movies from the worst to the bloody best.

Final Destination Bloodlines Does One Thing No Other Film In The Series Has Done Before
Image
Death has a design, and it includes you watching "Final Destination Bloodlines" before reading this article, as there are heavy spoilers ahead.

"Final Destination" is one of the most underrated horror franchises out there. Sure, it isn't as influential as some of the heavier hitters, but with the low number of entries comes a higher batting average. Even the worst of the "Final Destination" movies still has some great kills and novel concepts for the franchise. Indeed, what makes this horror series stand out is how inventive it is, taking a rather simple concept and constantly exploring new aspects of it.

There is no iconic villain like Freddy or Michael Myers here, but that's because the kills themselves stay with you in a way few kills in other franchises do. There's no need for a memorable singular villain when you can traumatize an entire generation into not driving behind a...

Maika Monroe will replace Margaret Qualley in Victorian Psycho
Margaret Qualley in 82nd Golden Globe Awards (2025)
Margaret Qualley was originally set to star in the psychological horror-thriller Victorian Psycho, but she dropped out of the project earlier this year, just before production was slated to begin. Deadline reports that a replacement has now been found. Maika Monroe (Longlegs) has stepped up to star in Victorian Psycho.

Victorian Psycho takes place in 1858, with Monroe playing Winifred Notty, a young, eccentric governess who “arrives at the remote gothic manor known as Ensor House. Her responsibilities include teaching the children table manners and educating them about their family’s history, all whilst hiding her psychopathic tendencies. As Winifred assimilates into life at Ensor House, staff members begin to inexplicably disappear, and the owners of the estate begin to wonder if there is something amiss about their new governess.” Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary) will direct from a script by Virginia Feito, which is based on her novel of the same name.

Final Destination Bloodlines Review — Gory, Twisted, and Thoroughly Entertaining
Image
Plenty of legacy sequels have attempted to bring back past franchises with a more modern sensibility, but only a few have had more than one “second chance,” and it’s pretty fitting that Final Destination is one of those series that keeps cheating death. Final Destination Bloodlines, the second revival of the 2000s horror franchise, is a glorious return to form, offering plenty of laughs and a ton of twisted mayhem — precisely what audiences want from these films.

Final Destination Bloodlines Review

With a story by Jon Watts (the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy), Guy Busick (the new Scream movies), and Lori Evans Taylor, Final Destination Bloodlines offers an interesting twist on the familiar formula — after a group of people “cheated Death” by surviving a would-be tragic accident when someone has a premonition, they find themselves dying in increasingly peculiar ways. But this time, it’s not just the survivors that...

‘Final Destination 3’ Twisted the Formula and Took Us On a Roller Coaster of Terror
Image
After sitting out the sequel Final Destination 2, original Final Destination director/co-writer James Wong and co-writer Glen Morgan returned for the series’ roller coaster of a third installment, Final Destination 3. This time, the sequel would operate as a standalone set six years after the first film.

Final Destination 3 may feel smaller in scale based on the catastrophe that sets Death’s design in motion, but Wong and Morgan inject new ideas and slight twists to the well-established formula. That includes how high school student Wendy Christensen (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) picks up on Death’s clues and the kill order through photographs she took on the ill-fated day.

Final Destination 3 also escalates the stakes in the grand finale with a second full-blown mass casualty event, one that hits closer to home for many compared to the memorable amusement park opening. The third installment is also the first...

All 6 ‘Final Destination’ Movies Ranked, Based on Critics Ratings
Image
The Final Destination movies are known for traumatizing an entire generation of audiences, yet we cannot seem to have enough of them. From the moment it debuted 25 years ago, the franchise has shocked audiences with its mind-bending plot, making us come back for more, movie after movie.

The franchise carved for itself a unique niche in the horror genre, redefining the genre with its unique premise of ordinary individuals cheating death. Ever since its debut, the franchise has captivated audiences with heart-pounding suspense, jaw-dropping death sequences, and a haunting exploration of fate’s inescapable grip. Each installment thus keeps building on its core concept, making fans return.

So far, the franchise has spawned six Final Destination movies, starring a range of actors and following the same narrative of a group of people trying to escape death after a premonition, only to be hunted by Death itself through a series of elaborate and brutal accidents.

The 5 Gnarliest Kills in the Final Destination Franchise
Image
With Final Destination: Bloodlines set to drop on May 14 and 16 (UK and US respectively), the franchise that made us fear tanning beds, gym equipment, and even eye surgery is about to haunt a whole new generation of horror fans. But before we get pulled into another intricate web of premonitions and impalements, it’s time to look back at the franchise’s most gnarly legacy… its gloriously creative, stomach-churning death scenes.

Since 2000, the Final Destination series has perfected a very specific kind of horror: the kind that makes you clench up the next time you’re near a nail gun or cross a suspension bridge. These aren’t just kills, they’re miniature set pieces, choreographed with absurd attention to cause and effect. Part slasher, part disaster film, part karmic punishment, the franchise has turned death into a slinking, unseen force that gets increasingly imaginative (and sadistic) with every movie.

40 Best Comic Book Movies of All-Time
Richard Donner at an event for 16 Blocks (2006)
Comics, for decades, have been an integral mainstay of popular literature. Though often undermined and unappreciated by many, superheroes and many others have touched the lives of millions through the pages of their colourful worlds. It’s been a long, strange journey for the comic book genre, and its path to cinematic success was equally challenging. We’ve seen Richard Donner’s “Superman” prove to the world in 1978 that there was, indeed, an audience for live-action superhero flicks, and then Tim Burton would reassure that notion again in 1989, with his groundbreaking blockbuster “Batman”. Then, of course, any ounce of progress that comics had made in the film industry was utterly destroyed and denounced upon release of the 1997 abomination that is “Batman and Robin”.

With help from “Blade” and “X-Men”, followed by Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” in 2002 and Christopher Nolan’s “Batman Begins” in 2005, comic books had reclaimed their spot amongst...

"No One Said Anything": Original 'Fargo' Star Reveals Why She Didn't Return

Fargo wrapped up with its final season last year, and the show has seen many movie and TV veterans come and go through its five-season run. One of the stars from the first and second seasons of Fargo was Allison Tolman, famed for her role as Molly Solverson. Unlike many other TV shows, Fargo brings in a mostly new cast each season to tell a new story, with names like Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Jason Schwartzman all coming and going over the years. Tolman never came back after Season 2, but we now know this wasn’t due to a lack of interest. During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Tolman was asked about her time on Fargo, and she spoke about it fondly but also recalled how difficult it was to stand on the sidelines after departing the show:

We got word that filming was set to get underway on the second season of Ahsoka last week during Star Wars Celebration Japan, and star Rosario Dawson has now announced that cameras are officially rolling with our first behind-the-scenes production photo.

Hayden Christensen and Rebels fan-favorites to return for Ahsoka season 2
Image
We got a glimpse of what to expect from Ahsoka season 2 at the Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. Rosario Dawson, who plays the titular character, joined showrunners Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau on the Live! Stage and discussed, among other things, the stories and characters of the second season.

Filoni announced that they will start filming season 2 in a week. Before Filoni delved into more details, Dawson confirmed that Hayden Christensen was returning as Anakin Skywalker. She reminisced about being in acting school with Christensen (which was also attended by Scarlett Johansson) and how naturally their real-life longtime friendship translated on the screen as everyone's beloved Skyguy and Snips.

However, Filoni made it very clear that he was not trying to tell more stories about Anakin. His inclusion in Ahsoka stems entirely from him being her former master.

"A very clear line I draw for myself is that Anakin's story was already told.

Dave Filoni Says "All Out" War Is Coming In Ahsoka Season Two

The Star Wars Celebration event in Japan dropped tons of big news for fans of the sci-fi franchise. A Darth Maul animated series was announced along with other animated series, Star Wars: Starfighter, Shawn Levy's movie starring Ryan Gosling was announced, and more.

On top of that, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau spent a significant amount of time talking about the second season of Ahsoka. Exciting news included the returns of several characters, including the return of Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker.

However, the most exciting revelations regarding Ahsoka season two come in the form of story details from Dave Filoni. It sounds like this season will feature even more action than the first season. Filoni said the first half of the season will feature an “all out” war.

“I'll just say what it is ‘cause they came all this way, and I know what they really want to...

Every Character Who Has Survived The Final Destination Movies
Image
This article contains spoilers for every "Final Destination" movie.

For over 25 years, the "Final Destination" series has instilled a very special fear of death with audiences. Everyone meets their end at some point or another, but these movies take perverse pleasure in showing all of the grisly manners it can manifest. Unlike other horror franchises like "Friday the 13th" or "Scream," where you can physically see the killer coming toward you, in the world of "Final Destination," Death can take the form of just about anything. All it takes is a loose screw, a curling iron, or a creep with a box full of hook hands to get the ball rolling.

It's very fitting for a franchise about a deadly omniscient presence to make you anxious of your surroundings at all times. But try as they might, the characters in every "Final Destination" usually meet a grisly end one way or another.

Star Wars: Ahsoka's Rosario Dawson Reveals the Trickiest Part of Wielding 2 Lightsabers

Ahsoka Tano may make maneuvering two lightsabers look like second nature, Star Wars: Ahsoka’sRosario Dawson said, while it is “awesome,” it is a bit trickier than it looks on the Disney+ series. Dawson, appearing at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, told Cbr’s Grae Drake just what it was like working with two lightsabers.

“Actually, doing two together is quite awesome, and I’m so used to that,” Dawson said. “It’s certain moves where I have to go over the montrals, that’s where it gets really tricky, because you start, you’re practicing, and you got the feet down, and then you’re keeping it close to the body,” she said.

Ahsoka: Hayden Christensen Confirmed To Return For Season 2; First Look At Rory McCann As Baylan Skoll
Image
Confirming rumors that have been doing the rounds for quite a while, Hayden Christensen announced that he will return as Anakin Skywalker for the 8-episode second season of Ahsoka during the Disney+ show's Star Wars Celebration panel in Tokyo, Japan.

Christensen reprised his iconic Star Wars prequels role in the first season, appearing to his former Padawan Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) when she became trapped in the "World Between Worlds" after a lightsaber duel with Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson). Anakin served as a spirit guide, of a sort, forcing Ahsoka to confront her past and (potential) future.

Skywalker returned as a Force Ghost (presumably) in the season finale, watching over Ahsoka on Peridea.

Though filming doesn't get underway until next week, some production stills and concept art were showcased during the panel, and we got our first look at Rory McCann as Baylan. We got word earlier this...

In the first season of Dave Filoni's Ahsoka, there was no shortage of "yippee!" worthy moments for dyed-in-the-wool Star Wars fans — from the return of Rosario Dawson as the twin-saber wielding Togrutan, to getting to see Rebels' Ghost crew and Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action, to the discovery of a whole other galaxy even farther, farther away. But for many, the peak of Ahsoka Season 1 was Hayden Christensen's reappearance as The Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker. And for those people, this is where the fun begins, because Anakin Skywalker will be back back back in Ahsoka Season 2.

Speaking on stage at Star Wars Celebration today, Christensen himself confirmed that Ahsoka's old master will return for Season 2. And while, as you'd expect, nothing more was said about the nature of Anakin's role in the upcoming series, which starts shooting its next eight-episode run next week, Christensen has clearly...

He's Back! Hayden Christensen Will Return as Anakin Skywalker in 'Ahsoka' Season 2
Image
The onetime Jedi apprentice Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) will return for the second season of her eponymous Star Wars series, and now we know that her former master will, too. Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka. The news was revealed at this year's Star Wars Celebration convention in Japan.

After playing the character in the prequels Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, Christensen took a long hiatus from the franchise, but has returned with a vengeance in recent years. In 2022, he returned in the Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi as both Anakin in flashback scenes (for which he was digitally de-aged) and as his cyborg alter ego, Darth Vader. He returned again in 2023's Ahsoka, appearing both in flashbacks and in spirit form to Tano when she entered the mysterious "World Between Worlds," a plane on which all periods of time occur simultaneously. While his...

Star Wars Celebration: Hayden Christensen Returning as Anakin Skywalker for ‘Ahsoka’ Season Two
Image
Anakin is back (again), baby!

Hayden Christensen will reprise his fan-favorite role of Anakin Skywalker for season two of Ahsoka, the Lucasfilm Disney+ show that stars Rosario Dawson. The announcement was made at the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo, Japan.

Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, executive producer Jon Favreau and star Rosario Dawson took the main stage for a panel to discuss the inspirations behind the show and the making of season one. Filoni spoke about the heavy influence of Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke and Favreau talked about George Lucas’ love for the character Ahsoka and reminisced about casting Dawson. The actress added that they begin shooting season two of Ahsoka next week.

After a brief scene between Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka was shown on the big screen, Christensen then walked out to rapturous applause from the crowd. But the announcement of his return didn’t come till near the end of the panel.

Ahsoka Season 2 Story Details Reveal What Becomes Of Ivanna Sakhno's Shin Hati
Image
In the season 1 finale of Ahsoka, several characters were left stranded on Peridia when Grand Admiral Thrawn and his Nightsisters escaped with Ezra Bridger stowing away on their ship.

With former Jedi Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson) setting off on his own to discover the secrets of the planet, his apprentice Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) is left to battle Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo).

Shin survives, and we last see her approaching a group of bandits with her lightsaber raised, seemingly as a gesture of surrender.

Hati's intentions were not fully made clear, but a short passage from the upcoming Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy book reveals that she does indeed join forces with these bandits before continuing her crusade to bring down Ahsoka and her allies.

"Shin teams with roving bandits on Peridea and resumes her hunt for Sabine and Ezra.

5 comic book movies that deserve musicals
Image
When done correctly, musical films can transcend genres.

In 2022, director Todd Phillips announced a sequel to Joker (2019) was being made and was titled Joker: Folie á Deux. This announcement was shortly followed by the reveal that Folie á Deux would in fact be a musical, with Lady Gaga set to portray Harley Quinn. While fans went gaga over the casting, the musical aspect was baffling to many. After all, why would the sequel to a non-musical comic book film, all of a sudden become a musical?

In 2024, that question was answered with an extremely polarizing because Joker: Folie á Deux was an incredibly lackluster follow up to the 2019 film, but was this due to the musical element? In the same year, Marvel Studios and Disney+ released Agatha All Along, only to find praise for the spellbinding story and magical music. Both of these comic book projects featured musical elements, but...

All 5 Final Destination Movies, Ranked Worst To Best
Image
When it comes to horror movies, a few franchises like Final Destination keep you glued to your seat. It doesn’t rely on masked killers or creepy ghosts—just the unstoppable force of death itself. The series, which kicked off in 2000 under James Wong’s direction, is all about people trying (and failing) to escape their fate. No matter how clever they think they are, death always finds a way.

From the first film to Final Destination 5 in 2011, the franchise has taken audiences on a rollercoaster of brutal, over-the-top accidents. While the concept remained the same—someone has a premonition, cheats death, and then gets hunted down by fate—the movies found new, creative ways to make us squirm. Of course, as the series went on, the formula became predictable, but that didn’t stop fans from enjoying the wild, suspenseful deaths.

A still from the upcoming film Final Destination: Bloodlines...

John Carpenter's 'The Thing' and Its Prequel Are Streaming on Tubi From April 1
Image
1982 gave birth to some of the most beloved and successful science fiction films to ever grace the big screen. Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Tron, and Blade Runner all debuted that same summer, but none of them were near as haunting or frightening as director John Carpenter’s must-see The Thing. Die-hard fans of the sci-fi horror classic and those who’ve never seen the exceptional flick will have their chance to visit the bitter-cold confines of Antarctica all over again when The Thing and its inferior prequel of the same name both begin streaming for free April Fools’ Day on Tubi.

Carpenter was a huge fan of producer Howard Hawks' 1951 film The Thing from Another World, which inspired his reimagining, and Carpenter even paid homage to the classic by featuring it as one of the movies the children were watching in Halloween (1978). In the original,...

Actor Ewan McGregor is best known for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars franchise. Outside the space opera franchise, McGregor has established himself as a serious actor across different genres but the legacy of his fabled Jedi Knight character follows him everywhere, which might make it difficult for some fans to digest an incident involving him.
