Margaret Qualley was originally set to star in the psychological horror-thriller Victorian Psycho, but she dropped out of the project earlier this year, just before production was slated to begin. Deadline reports that a replacement has now been found. Maika Monroe (Longlegs) has stepped up to star in Victorian Psycho.

Victorian Psycho takes place in 1858, with Monroe playing Winifred Notty, a young, eccentric governess who “arrives at the remote gothic manor known as Ensor House. Plenty of legacy sequels have attempted to bring back past franchises with a more modern sensibility, but only a few have had more than one “second chance,” and it’s pretty fitting that Final Destination is one of those series that keeps cheating death. With week one of filming for the Star Wars spinoff series Ahsoka Season 2 complete, series star Rosario Dawson showed how bruised up the show has left her.

Dawson is returning to play Ashoka Tano in the Disney+ series' second season. The actor took to Instagram to show off the bruises she sustained during the first week of filming. Dawson captioned the post, "Week 1 Won! Not A Weak One." Fans of the franchise's elaborate fight scenes can expect to see more in the upcoming season.

The franchise, which has sold 20 million copies worldwide and been translated into 15 languages, revolves around the adventures of MI5 Captain Francis Blake and his scientist friend Philip Mortimer. Mylchreest will play Blake opposite Dunster as Mortimer.

Fargo wrapped up with its final season last year, and the show has seen many movie and TV veterans come and go through its five-season run. One of the stars from the first and second seasons of Fargo was Allison Tolman, famed for her role as Molly Solverson. Unlike many other TV shows, Fargo brings in a mostly new cast each season to tell a new story, with names like Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Jason Schwartzman all coming and going over the years. Tolman never came back after Season 2, but we now know this wasn’t due to a lack of interest. Ahsoka Tano was brought to live action by Rosario Dawson in the Disney+ series Ahsoka, which follows the adventures of the titular Jedi, in 2023. Recently, the actress posted a behind-the-scenes image that confirmed she had begun the much-anticipated second season of the series.

In an Instagram post, Dawson published an image of her shadow, clearly displaying the silhouette of her elaborate Ahsoka prosthetics and makeup. The post was captioned, "& we’re off…to galaxies far, far away….!" Multiple of Dawnson’s co-stars in the series, including Eman Esfandi, who plays Jedi Ezra Bridger, and Diana Lee Inosanto, who portrays the Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth, commented on the photo, calling Dawson a "Legend" and "Icon" and wishing her luck on this journey.

It’s been 20 years since Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain moseyed into theaters. The highly-celebrated film, which depicts the unexpected relationship between two young cowboys, won three Oscars at the 2006 Academy Awards and remains a classic take on Western romance in cinema. To honor the film’s legacy, Focus Features is re-releasing the emotionally charged film in theaters for special screenings starting on June 22 and 25.

Brokeback Mountain premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2005, earning acclaim from audiences before its wide release. We got a glimpse of what to expect from Ahsoka season 2 at the Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. Rosario Dawson, who plays the titular character, joined showrunners Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau on the Live! Stage and discussed, among other things, the stories and characters of the second season.

Filoni announced that they will start filming season 2 in a week. Before Filoni delved into more details, Dawson confirmed that Hayden Christensen was returning as Anakin Skywalker. She reminisced about being in acting school with Christensen (which was also attended by Scarlett Johansson) and how naturally their real-life longtime friendship translated on the screen as everyone's beloved Skyguy and Snips.

However, Filoni made it very clear that he was not trying to tell more stories about Anakin. His inclusion in Ahsoka stems entirely from him being her former master.

"A very clear line I draw for myself is that Anakin's story was already told.

Everyone meets their end at some point or another, but these movies take perverse pleasure in showing all of the grisly manners it can manifest. Unlike other horror franchises like "Friday the 13th" or "Scream," where you can physically see the killer coming toward you, in the world of "Final Destination," Death can take the form of just about anything. All it takes is a loose screw, a curling iron, or a creep with a box full of hook hands to get the ball rolling.

Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the second season of Ahsoka, now in development for Disney+. Speaking at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo on April 19, Christensen said his approach to the character continues to shift with each new appearance.

“I think my understanding of the character is just continuing to grow,” he said in an interview with Complex. “We’re getting to sort of explore different sides of Anakin, which I’m really enjoying.”

Christensen added that the Ahsoka series allows him to portray aspects of Anakin that have not been shown previously. “I’m really loving getting to sort of play the more heroic side of the character in the Ahsoka show,” he said.

Production on Season 2 is expected to begin next week. The new season follows the conclusion of Season 1 in October 2023 and the show’s official development announcement in January.

When Disney+’s Star Wars: Ahsokareturns for its second season, fans can also expect the return of a very familiar face. It has been more than two decades since Hayden Christensen first played the role of the would-be-Jedi, turned Sith lord Anakin Skywalker, in the 2002 Star Wars prequel, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.He would go on to reprise the role in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and lend his voice to Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

Ahsoka Tano may make maneuvering two lightsabers look like second nature, Star Wars: Ahsoka’sRosario Dawson said, while it is “awesome,” it is a bit trickier than it looks on the Disney+ series. Dawson, appearing at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, told Cbr’s Grae Drake just what it was like working with two lightsabers.

“Actually, doing two together is quite awesome, and I’m so used to that,” Dawson said. “It’s certain moves where I have to go over the montrals, that’s where it gets really tricky, because you start, you’re practicing, and you got the feet down, and then you’re keeping it close to the body,” she said.

Montrals are the cone-like horns on the head of the Tortuga species that act as extrasensory organs and help them to anticipate movements around them.

Christensen reprised his iconic Star Wars prequels role in the first season, appearing to his former Padawan Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) when she became trapped in the "World Between Worlds" after a lightsaber duel with Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson). Anakin served as a spirit guide, of a sort, forcing Ahsoka to confront her past and (potential) future.

Hayden Christensen will reprise his fan-favorite role of Anakin Skywalker for season two of Ahsoka, the Lucasfilm Disney+ show that stars Rosario Dawson. The announcement was made at the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo, Japan.

Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, executive producer Jon Favreau and star Rosario Dawson took the main stage for a panel to discuss the inspirations behind the show and the making of season one. Filoni spoke about the heavy influence of Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke and Favreau talked about George Lucas’ love for the character Ahsoka and reminisced about casting Dawson. The actress added that they begin shooting season two of Ahsoka next week.

After a brief scene between Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka was shown on the big screen, Christensen then walked out to rapturous applause from the crowd. But the announcement of his return didn’t come till near the end of the panel.

The Force is strong with Ahsoka Season 2, as the second season of the live-action Star Wars series just got an exciting update at Star Wars Celebration. After making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2, portrayed by Rosario Dawson, the former Jedi warrior launched her own solo show back in 2023. Now, showrunner Dave Filoni has revealed that production on Ahsoka Season 2 is all set to begin.

During an appearance at Star Wars Celebration, Filoni took to the stage for the Lucasfilm Animation panel, revealing that production on Ahsoka Season 2 “will begin shortly, and Carrie Beck, Lucasfilm's vice president of animation and live-action development, is currently in the UK preparing for filming to begin.”

This comes as great news for those looking forward to seeing Ahsoka return for more action. With filming now gearing up to begin imminently, it shouldn’t be too long before we find out more details about what Season 2 will entail.

In the season 1 finale of Ahsoka, several characters were left stranded on Peridia when Grand Admiral Thrawn and his Nightsisters escaped with Ezra Bridger stowing away on their ship.

With former Jedi Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson) setting off on his own to discover the secrets of the planet, his apprentice Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) is left to battle Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo).

Shin survives, and we last see her approaching a group of bandits with her lightsaber raised, seemingly as a gesture of surrender.

Hati's intentions were not fully made clear, but a short passage from the upcoming Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy book reveals that she does indeed join forces with these bandits before continuing her crusade to bring down Ahsoka and her allies.

Netflix has announced that Love, Death + Robots will return on May 15 with ten new episodes. This marks the fourth season of the animated anthology series, which last released new content in 2022.

The season, referred to by Netflix as “Volume 4,” includes short-form animated stories produced in a variety of visual styles. Each installment is self-contained and made by a different studio. Themes in the upcoming episodes include dinosaur gladiators, prophetic cats, and string-puppet musicians.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson returns as supervising director. The series is executive produced by Tim Miller, David Fincher, Jennifer Miller, and Joshua Donen. Blur Studio continues its role as the production company behind the series.

Filming for Ahsoka might have started sooner than we thought! Eman Esfandi recently celebrated the launch of his new podcast and the "kicking off" of Ahsoka Season 2.

As we reported in December, Ahsoka is set to go into production this April, with filming set to take place entirely in the UK. While Season 1 was shot in California, Ahsoka Season 2 joins other shows, such as The Acolyte and Andor, to film outside the US.

Although Lucasfilm has yet to confirm if filming for Ahsoka has started, Esfandi's Instagram post puts the show on track to begin production in April, suggesting the cast may have started preparing for the upcoming season. Esfandi is set to reprise his role as Ezra Bridger and will be joined by Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Lars Mikkelsen. Hayden Christensen is rumored to return as Anakin Skywalker, after returning as the Chosen One in Episode 5, "Shadow Warrior.

Lucasfilm may have quietly begun production on Ahsoka Season 2. While the company behind Star Wars hasn't officially announced that the new season of Ahsoka has started filming, series actor Eman Esfandi seemingly has with a new social media post.

Esfandi, who is the live-action actor for Star Wars Rebels character Ezra Bridger, recently re-shared a post on his Instagram Story (via X) from his friend, artist Josh Hash, of him popping a bottle of champagne. The caption read: "Congrats [Eman Esfandi] on launching your podcast [Keepers of The Fire] & kicking off Ahsoka Season 2." The indication that Esfandi is "kicking off" Ahsoka Season 2 suggests that production has either started on the Star Wars show or is about to start in the coming weeks.
