How Natasha Rothwell helped Belinda get her groove back in ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3
Image
Most fans of The White Lotus believe we’ll see Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda again. But if the character’s Season 3 exit sailing off into the Thai sunset with her son, Zion (Nicholas Duvernay), $5 million richer is the last we see of the spa manager, it’s a well-deserved happy ending for both the fan favorite and the actress who plays her.

Rothwell earned an Emmy nomination for the HBO series' first season, which ended with the death of Hawaii-based Belinda’s dream to open her own spa after investor Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) pulled out. Rothwell watched Sicily-set Season 2 as a fan, and knew that Tanya had died trying to escape a hit orchestrated by her husband, Greg (Jon Gries). When she binged creator Mike White’s scripts for Season 3, and read that Belinda’s exchange program was complicated by her recognizing resort restaurant patron "Gary" as Greg, Rothwell couldn't...

SNL’s Sarah Sherman Is Dying of Guilt After Shading Angelina Jolie’s “Iconic” Co-Star
Image
When Saturday Night Live throws punches, it’s usually all laughs—until someone actually gets hurt. This time, it’s Sex Education and Anxious People star Aimee Lou Wood who found herself getting attacked in the meanest way possible. During the recent sketch spoofing The White Lotus, comedian Sarah Sherman showed up with buck teeth while mimicking Wood’s character.

Now, while fans were quick to point out the insensitive jab, Aimee Lou Wood took things into her own hands and shared her response to SNL via Instagram Story. What followed was an apology from the NBC show and a bouquet from Sarah Sherman as a peace offering. Later on, Sherman appeared for an interview expressing her guilt, following this sketch.

Why Leslie Bibb Thought “We’re All Getting Diarrhea” After Filming ‘White Lotus’ Water Gun Scene
Image
The water gun scene in The White Lotus season three was just as chaotic to film as it looked in the show, according to Leslie Bibb.

During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the actress, who played Kate in the Mike White-created series, explained why she thought “we’re all getting diarrhea” after filming the sequence with her costars Carrie Coon (Laurie) and Michelle Monaghan (Jaclyn).

The episode four scene saw the Bff trio get drenched by water guns as children were celebrating Thai New Year. While it started off fun, things quickly get intense and they’re seen running to find somewhere to hide.

“When we were there, [the festival] actually happened in real time and everyone’s like, ‘Let’s go!'” Bibb recalled of shooting the scene. “And I was like, ‘No, I want to experience’ — I was Daniel Day Lewis–ing it — I was like,...

Sarah Sherman Says She “Obviously Never Meant to Hurt” Aimee Lou Wood’s “Feelings” With ‘SNL’ ‘White Lotus’ Parody
Image
Sarah Sherman never wanted to “hurt” Aimee Lou Wood’s “feelings” with Saturday Night Live’s viral “White Potus” sketch.

The SNL star addressed the backlash surrounding the sketch comedy show’s White Lotus spoof, which saw character’s from season three of Mike White’s hit drama shifted into President Donald Trump, his family and cabinet members. The bit particularly drew in backlash when Sherman portrayed Wood’s character Chelsea with a pair of fake teeth that appeared to mock her own.

“I fucking obviously never meant to hurt anyone’s feelings,” Sherman said during a Vanity Fair profile, published on Tuesday. “Never in a million years did I get into comedy to make anyone upset. I feel terrible that anyone would feel bad.”

Sherman clarified that she “never meant to hurt anyone’s feelings,” and “was excited to play her because she’s so iconic [and] her character [Chelsea] is so iconic.

‘Friendship’ Lets Tim Robinson Redefine How Off-Putting A Feature-Film Leading Man Can Be
Image
I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson has presented its titular creator and star to us in some of the most humiliating situations ever conceived. Characters he’s played have asked a restaurant server to intervene with a date he thinks is being too greedy with the toppings on a shared plate of nachos, tried to pull off a perm like an Irish setter’s ears, gotten disruptively dirty with questions on an “adult” ghost tour and of course, driven a hot dog-shaped car through a store window and loudly disclaimed responsibility — while wearing a hot dog costume.

If our era has a living avatar of social anxiety, Robinson is it. Now, with Friendship, Robinson is making his début as a feature-film headliner, and I have no higher compliment than to say he’s doing it in an extremely Tim Robinson way.

Robinson plays Craig Waterman. He has a wife,...

The White Lotus Season 1 Originally Had A Completely Different Location
Image
The following article contains spoilers for "The White Lotus" season 1.

Few television series released this decade have left as much of an impact as HBO's semi-anthology series, "The White Lotus." Created by Mike White, what began as a miniseries exploring the problematic lives of wealthy vacationers and the working-class staff at the titular hotel chain in the Hawaiian location has since blossomed into a continuous series, showcasing a different group of characters (with some carry-over from previous seasons) amidst a different White Lotus location.

The first season of "The White Lotus" was filmed in late 2020 in Hawaii under Covid-19 guidelines. Much of the production was held at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. The hotel was closed to film the season, giving the cast and crew their own bubble. Interestingly enough, Mike White had different plans for the location of what would become the first season of HBO's latest original hit series.

The White Lotus Season 3's Natasha Rothwell Responds To Belinda Backlash
Image
In season 3 of the supposed anthology series "The White Lotus" (which creator Mike White set in Thailand after visiting Hawai'i and Italy in the show's first two outings), audiences get to reconnect with Belinda Lindsey (played by Natasha Rothwell), a spa employee who first showed up in Maui back in season 1. Belinda visits the Thailand outpost of the fictional White Lotus chain to learn from the wellness staff there, largely because this location bills itself as being hyper-focused on wellness. However, she ends up getting a lot more than she bargained for.

I should rephrase that. Belinda ends up quite literally bargaining for $5 million dollars from her old acquaintance Greg Hunt (Jon Gries), whom she met back in Maui, so that she'll continue to keep his many, many secrets. While that's certainly not what Belinda thought would happen in Thailand, that's how everything shook out. So, does Rothwell think Belinda is evil now?...

Jack Black Named A Beloved Comedy His Best Movie
Image
It is safe to say that Jack Black is one of the most unique movie stars of the 21st century. Having appeared in films as early as the 1990s, as well as establishing himself as a comedic rock icon alongside Kyle Gass with their band Tenacious D, Black's rise to superstardom is particularly notable through his roles in family films. Whether it is through his voice work in animated films such as "Shark Tale, "Kung Fu Panda," and "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," or in live-action fair such as "Nacho Libre," "Goosebumps," the "Jumanji" films, and most recently, "A Minecraft Movie," Black has left his mark on the family film genre.

Along with his extensive work within family films, Jack Black remains a beloved comedic actor thanks to his roles in more mature material. "High Fidelity" served as a wonderful cinematic breakthrough for him, whereas his roles in "Shallow Hal,...

‘Real Time’: Bill Maher Compares Gen Z To ‘The White Lotus’ Character In Anti-Woke Rant
Image
Bill Maher concluded another episode of his HBO talk show with another rant about everything wrong with Gen Z.

On Friday’s episode of Real Time, the comedian simultaneously got on his trusty old anti-woke high horse, accusing young people of aligning with terrorism, while also attempting to appeal to the youths with a reference to the same network’s The White Lotus.

“Talk to your children, and remind them you don’t really wanna live like your heroes in Hamas. All the shit you do all day, it was all made in America. Your smartphone, your Grubhub, your freedom to bitch about America, that’s all American stuff,” said Maher, adding: “Please! You couldn’t survive a week living in Intifada-ville. You’re like the girl from The White Lotus who was going to live in a Buddhist monastery and then lasted one night.”

He was referring to Sarah Catherine Hook‘s Piper Ratliff,...

Secrets are part of the game for anyone involved in Mike White’s “The White Lotus.” While each season has so far fixated on the mysterious, unidentified dead body at the beginning of every first episode, other major revelations have to be kept hush-hush. The show was a placeholder for HBO’s Sunday night, which was starved of content as the world still grappled with the new normal caused by the pandemic.

It was a hit right off the gate, and soon after, HBO asked for more.

Image

Walton Goggins Tries to Guess Who Will Die in ‘SNL’ Season Finale, Says Emil Wakim Is a ‘Dead Man Walking’ | Video
Image
In a promo for this week’s “Saturday Night Live” featuring Walton Goggins as host, the “White Lotus” star tries to guess who will be killed in the season finale — no matter how many times Marcello Hernández tries to tell him it’s not that kind of show.

“I’m super curious to see how the whole thing’s going to end,” Goggins tells Hernández, explaining in a dramatic stage whisper, “Who’s gonna die?”

Goggins is of course nodding to the suspense drummed up each season of “The White Lotus,” which opens with a dramatic death and shows throughout the ensuing episodes who died and how. In Season 3, the actor played revenge-obsessed Rick Hatchett.

While Hernández insists that “SNL” doesn’t kill anyone in their own season finale, Goggins gamely nods along, then says of a passing Emil Wakim that he’s a “dead man walking.” He also shares...

The White Lotus Season 3 Almost Took Place In These Other Countries
Image
"The White Lotus" was one of the few good things to emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, now thriving with three great seasons. HBO's head of programming, Casey Bloys, asked Mike White if he had any ideas for a show that could be filmed within a lockdown bubble (via The Wall Street Journal). In response, Mike White dreamed up a sexy, thought-provoking whodunnit set in a luxury hotel chain. White originally considered the rugged Australia for season 1, but work visas were only available for eight weeks. That limitation led him to rent out the Four Seasons in Hawaii, which was likely more convenient since it was located in the United States and, in the end, possibly less expensive.

Hawaii ended up being the perfect setting for the first season, helping to shape the framework for the rest of the quasi-anthology series; each season would satirize the rich, white people flocking to...

Paul Feig and Elizabeth Perkins on ‘Another Simple Favor,’ ’70s Cinema, Faye Dunaway, and the ‘Misogyny’ of Lively vs. Kendrick Feud Rumors
Image
[Editor’s note: The following interview contains some spoilers for “Another Simple Favor.”]

No one has ever seen Paul Feig — not even on an airplane — in anything less than formalwear, whether a three-piece suit or a dandyish necktie or pinstripes, sometimes cutting a classy silhouette with a martini in hand. The filmmaker and head of Feigco Entertainment also has his own Artingstall’s London dry gin brand, so of course it made sense to meet up with the writer/director and his “Another Simple Favor” star Elizabeth Perkins for drinks at Columbus Circle’s Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York.

Feig’s sequel “Another Simple Favor,” now streaming on Prime Video, is the follow-up to his 2018 box-office hit about neighboring mothers on edge (Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick) whose suburban ennui drives them to murder and mayhem. Harvey Weinstein Accuser Miriam Haley Tells Jury of 2006 Assault: ‘I Just Decided to Check Out and Endure It’
Image
Miriam Haley began to break down in tears on Wednesday as she told jurors about the moment she realized that Harvey Weinstein was about to sexually assault her.

“I just decided to check out and endure it,” she said.

The former TV production assistant is the first of three accusers to testify at Weinstein’s retrial in Manhattan. Recounting testimony she gave at his first trial five years ago, she alleged that Weinstein assaulted her at his SoHo apartment on July 10, 2006.

Prior to that visit, Weinstein had invited her to attend the “Clerks II” premiere in L.A., an invitation she accepted. He later asked her to stop by his apartment to meet, and she agreed — explaining that it felt awkward to refuse after having just accepted the invitation to the premiere.

Haley said that, after a driver sent by Weinstein dropped her off and led her to the hallway of the SoHo apartment,...

Jenna Ortega in Death of a Unicorn (2025)
Death of a Unicorn (2025) Movie Ending Explained & Themes Analyzed: What are The Unicorn Tapestries and How are they Connected to the Leopolds?
Jenna Ortega in Death of a Unicorn (2025)
“Death of a Unicorn,” the new horror comedy from A24, follows the recent trend of Eat the Rich-themed stories. It is also a satirical look into the lives of the uber-rich. However, instead of showing the working class plotting against them, it shows the ignorant and self-aggrandizing upper class leading to its own demise. It’s the kind of conceit we have seen many times in recent years, whether through Mike White’s “The White Lotus,” Jesse Armstrong’s “Succession,” or Ruben Östlund’s “Triangle of Sadness.” Still, it manages to bite now and then, mainly because of Will Poulter’s scene-stealing performance as a cocky rich brat. It ultimately ends on a complicated note of catharsis for its central characters. Let’s unpack the same.

Spoilers Ahead

Death of a Unicorn (2025) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:

Written and directed by Alex Scharfman, “Death of a Unicorn” revolves around a father...

Tayme Thapthimthong on ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 finale, seeing Lisa at Coachella, and newfound fame
Image
Tayme Thapthimthong was slightly terrified at the prospect of running into fans of The White Lotus in public. "No one, so far, has come up and been screaming or anything," he stresses to Gold Derby. "It's been very nice, shaking my hand and just talking about the character. You know, making me feel very confident. I feel very validated." Thapthimthong's litmus test for normal fan responses before the release of the third season of the Mike White hit was skewed slightly thanks to his most frequent scene partner, K-pop star and Blackpink member Lalisa Manobal (known to fans and colleagues as Lisa), who played his character Gaitok's love interest, Mook.

"I just saw how some fans I've seen in Thailand, when they're fans of Blackpink and fans of Lisa, they're so…" And then, naturally, he lets out a frenzied scream, before continuing, "With me, it was actually very like, 'Hey,...

Nicole Kidman Returns in Nine Perfect Strangers Season Two, Set in the Austrian Alps
Nicole Kidman at an event for The Paperboy (2012)
Nicole Kidman reprises her role as Masha Dmitrichenko in the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers, premiering May 22, 2025, on Prime Video. The series introduces a new cast and a dramatic change of setting, with the retreat now located in the Austrian Alps. The first two episodes will launch together, followed by weekly releases through July 3.

Originally debuting in 2021 and based on the novel by Liane Moriarty, the series centers on nine people attending a week-long wellness retreat led by Masha, an enigmatic figure whose methods often blur ethical lines. This season brings together Christine Baranski, Murray Bartlett, Mark Strong, Annie Murphy, Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Aras Aydin.

The new retreat, called Zauberwald, isolates the participants in a mountainous landscape far from familiar surroundings. As they undergo intense therapy sessions, including the use of psychedelics, tensions mount between personal revelation and the strain of the environment.

‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ Season 2 Trailer: Nicole Kidman Is Hiding Another Secret Under Her Wig as Icy Guru Masha
Image
Does Nicole Kidman do too much TV? Is there even a thing as too much Nicole Kidman? No, there really is not.

The “Lioness,” “The Perfect Couple,” “Expats,” and “Scarpetta” star (we can keep going too…) returns as ill-intentioned guru Masha for “Nine Perfect Strangers” Season 2. The series is based on Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name; Moriarty also penned “Big Little Lies,” which Kidman famously starred in and is working on getting a third season greenlit of. “Nine Perfect Strangers” producer David E. Kelley also wrote the series “Big Little Lies.”

“Nine Perfect Strangers,” in the meantime, has Kidman cast alongside new anthology stars Christine Baranski, Murray Bartlett, Annie Murphy, Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong, and Aras Aydin.

The official synopsis reads: “Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru...

‘Despicable Me 4’ Helps Franchise Make History And Is No. 4 On 2024’s Most Valuable Blockbuster List
Image
Deadline’s Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament has returned, and as you’ll see from the most profitable films of 2024 that we’re about to disclose, a movie’s game doesn’t end at the box office. Rather, its downstream revenues and subsequent home windows must be taken into account. Streaming continues to be a wildcard: While traditional motion picture studios such as Disney, Warner Bros, Sony, Paramount and Universal rely on lucrative pay two and pay three streamer deals to catapult their slates into the black, those streamers who’ve embraced theatrical (specifically Amazon MGM Studios and Apple Original Films) have a clandestine metric as to how they evaluate a movie’s post-cinema success. By traditional studio P&l standards, some of those releases would be considered flops. Given that, Apple and Amazon are excluded from this year’s survey. The Most Valuable Blockbuster series runs later rather than sooner as...

Jason Isaacs Answers The White Lotus Season 3 Finale's Biggest Ratliff Family Question
Image
The following article contains spoilers for the season 3 finale of HBO's "The White Lotus"

Many fans of HBO's semi-anthology series "The White Lotus" are still reeling from the season 3 finale, "Amor Fati." The finale served as a definitive conclusion for some characters and a more uneasy, open-ended send-off for others. Much of the discourse for this season revolves around the Ratcliff family, perhaps the most problematic and complicated family dynamic the series has showcased to viewers so far. Sure, the Mossbacher family from season 1 had their interpersonal issues, and the three generations of Di Grasso men were each dealing with their problems related to their sex lives in season 2, but the Ratcliffs take the cake when it comes to being fundamentally dysfunctional.

Most notably, we witnessed the cringe-inducing dynamic that the Ratcliff siblings share. Brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) are at the center of the most uncomfortable scene in the entire series,...

5 Characters Who Could Return In The White Lotus Season 4
Image
After season 3 of "The White Lotus" wrapped up its run in April 2025, fans started thinking about the forthcoming fourth season ... and shortly before the Thailand-set finale of that third season aired, the cast and crew participated in an oral history about the series (in The Hollywood Reporter) that brought up an interesting point. Could some characters from the anthology's first two seasons, which were set in Hawai'i and Italy, come back for the fourth outing? Maybe!

Season 3 star Patrick Schwarzenegger, who plays privileged twentysomething Saxon Ratliff, brought up some fan chatter to showrunner and creator Mike White, saying, "I've heard rumors of them doing an all-star season." White's response? "I'd love to do that." If I might be permitted to bring up White's time on "Survivor" — as I am wont to do — this is actually perfectly in line with the reality competition show hosted by Jeff Probst, which frequently features casts with returning players,...

5 Walton Goggins Movies & TV Shows The White Lotus Fans Need To Watch
Image
Like every season of the hit HBO Mike White series "The White Lotus," the Thailand-set third season featured some terrific character actors giving scene-stealing turns as some of the show's most over-the-top characters yet. One of season 3's biggest standouts was Walton Goggins as Rick Hatchett, a visitor to The White Lotus on a quest for vengeance, and the fact that he was a standout should come as no real surprise to fans of the charismatic actor. Over his career thus far, Goggins has made a name for himself by completely disappearing into his roles and giving them his all, no matter how big or small the part. One has to look no further than his guest spot on the NBC sitcom "Community" to understand his incredible talent for committing to the bit. Heck, he even pushed past his own severe phobia of snakes to shoot a terrifying scene in "The White Lotus,...

Harvey Weinstein to Remain at Bellevue Hospital for Now
Image
Harvey Weinstein will continue to remain at Bellevue Hospital for now as his trial proceeds. A civil court judge postponed making a more permanent decision on the stay Thursday.

Weinstein is being retried on a criminal sexual charge and a rape charge related to respective claims from Miriam Haley, a former production assistant on Project Runway who alleges he forced oral sex on her at his TriBeCa apartment in 2006, and from aspiring actress Jessica Mann, who alleges she was raped by Weinstein in 2013 in a Manhattan hotel.

Weinstein is being newly charged with a criminal sexual charge related to claims from former model and actress Kaja Sokola, who alleges he forced oral sex on her in 2006.

Weinstein has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the new trial.

His health has been an underlying issue leading up the trial, but it will not be discussed in front of the jurors.

Harvey Weinstein’s Move For Mistrial Fails On Second Day Of Rape Retrial – Update
Image
Update, 1:55 Pm Pt: The second day of Harvey Weinstein’s rape retrial in New York came to a close with defense lawyers seeking a mistrial.

As dramatic as it sounds, the effort was cut short by Judge Curtis Farber within minutes.

With the jury excused for the day, defense lawyers Arthur Aidala, Diana Fabi Samson and Jennifer Bonhean took turns moving for a mistrial, saying the testimony of Christine Pressman, a former friend of Harvey Weinstein accuser Miriam Haley, was prejudicial. Specficially the defense team claimed the testimony should not have been allowed, especially when Pressman spontaneously said that Haley would “never ever ever” have had consensual sex with Weinstein.

Pressman was “not entitled to speculate about things she has no knowledge about,” Bonjean said.

From the start, Judge Farber sounded skeptical of the mistrial motion, telling the defense lawyers they opened the door to Pressman’s testimony with their own questioning.

Walton Goggins to Make ‘SNL’ Hosting Debut
Image
Walton Goggins is ready to go live on “SNL.”

The “The White Lotus” star and “The Righteous Gemstones” actor will make his hosting debut May 10 with Arcade Fire as the musical guest. Goggins has had a viral 2025 already, with a slew of fandom surging after his character on “The White Lotus” became a fan favorite.

In addition to Goggins, the final three shows of “SNL” Season 50 will be hosted by Quinta Brunson (May 3) with musical guest Benson Boone, and Scarlett Johansson (May 17) with musical guest Bad Bunny.

“SNL” recently caught flack for spoofing Goggins’ “The White Lotus” co-star Aimee Lou Wood, who played Goggins’ onscreen love interest. Titled “The White Potus,” the sketch had “SNL” actor Sarah Sherman donning fake teeth to portray Wood. In turn, Wood deemed the skit “mean and unfunny” and later added, “At least get the accent right seriously, I respect accuracy even if it’s mean.

Warner Bros. Discovery TV Viewership Grew 3% in March Thanks to NCAA and ‘The White Lotus,’ Nielsen Says
Image
March was a good month for Warner Bros. Discovery. During that time, the company saw the largest monthly viewership increase among media distributors, according to Nielsen’s latest Gauge report. Warner Bros. Discovery saw a 3% growth in television viewing compared to February.

This growth was largely due to March Madness coverage on TBS, TNT and truTV. Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming vertical, also had a notable month. It saw a 6% increase in viewership, the largest month-over-month increase among streaming services. Along with March Madness, which brought in younger consumers, new episodes of “The White Lotus” and “The Pitt” contributed to this growth. Mike White’s vacation thriller was Nielsen’s No. 4 most-streamed title in March, accounting for 4.5 billion viewing minutes. As for the Noah Wyle-led “The Pitt,” that medical drama generated 2.3 billion viewing minutes and ranked on Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 for the first time during the week...

‘Awards Chatter’ Live Pod: Jason Isaacs on ‘The White Lotus,’ Lucius Malfoy and ‘The Oa’
Image
Jason Isaacs is a widely admired English actor who has been doing standout work on stages and screens big and small for some 35 years. But he has never been more at the center of the cultural conversation than he has been over the past few months, during which seemingly everyone has been devouring, dissecting and discussing the third installment of Mike White’s hit HBO drama series The White Lotus, on which he played Timothy Ratliff, a wealthy businessman who is on vacation with his family in Thailand and privately spiraling as his life begins melting down back in North Carolina.

During an episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast that was recorded just days after the season finale of The White Lotus in front of an audience at the Miami Film Festival — where Isaacs was being recognized with the fest’s Precious Gem Award for “one-of-a-kind artists...

Aimee Lou Wood gets her flowers — literally — from ‘SNL’ star Sarah Sherman after ‘mean and unfunny’ sketch; Bowen Yang defends Wood’s ‘completely valid’ reaction
Image
Originally published April 16; updated April 21 at 9:30 a.m. Pt

Saturday Night Live player Sarah Sherman has sent an olive branch to Aimee Lou Wood. Or, more precisely, a lovely bouquet. And now SNL's Bowen Yang has come to the defense of Wood.

Sherman, of course, appeared in a weekend SNL sketch sporting false teeth and a bad British accent in a parody of Wood and her White Lotus character. Wood took to Instagram to criticize the skit as "mean and unfunny." On Monday, Wood shared a photo of a pink-and-orange floral arrangment on her Instagram Story with a message tagging Sherman: "Thank you for the beautiful flowers."

Days earlier, Wood claimed that someone from SNL had reached out to her to apologize for the sketch.

The skit in question, titled "The White Potus," aired during the April 12 episode with host Jon Hamm and musical guest Lizzo. Saturday Night Live...

Bowen Yang Says Aimee Lou Wood’s Criticism of ‘White Lotus’ Parody on ‘SNL’ Is “Completely Valid”
Image
Bowen Yang has Aimee Lou Wood’s back following her criticism of a White Lotus parody on the latest Saturday Night Live episode.

During the late-night sketch show, which featured Jon Hamm as host that week, SNL spoofed the season three finale of Mike White’s hit show but with a Donald Trump twist. The sketch swapped characters from the show with the president, his family and members of his cabinet. However, Wood’s White Lotus character Chelsea, portrayed by Sarah Sherman, wasn’t switched, and saw Sherman wear a pair of fake teeth in the sketch.

Wood previously called the skit “mean and unfunny” and called out Sherman for “punching down” at her character and her British accent, adding, “At least get the accent right, seriously. I respect accuracy, even if it’s mean.”

In a recent interview with Extra, Yang called Wood’s reaction to the sketch “completely valid,...

Walton Goggins Reveals Landing ‘The White Lotus’ Role Made Him Cry
Image
When Walton Goggins’ agents told him that The White Lotus creator Mike White wanted him to play the brooding Rick Hatchet in the HBO hit’s third season, the actor called wife Nadia Conners in tears. “It’s a golden ticket, but more than that, it was just the opportunity to go on a journey that comes from [White’s] imagination,” Goggins explained in a new interview with You Magazine. “Things that are interesting to him are interesting to me.” Besides, Goggins said, he’s an emotional person. “I cry with my friends,” he said. “I cry with my wife. I hold my wife. I kiss my wife. I also do a job that allows me access to what I’m feeling constantly. And I’ve been blessed to do that for a really long time.” Production on The White Lotus’ third season also afforded Goggins the chance to revisit Thailand, where...
