Pretty much the entire Harry Potter film series has been a truly epic adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s book series, but The Prisoner of Azkaban just hits differently for some reason. Pedro Pascal has once again supported the trans community by speaking out against J.K. Rowling, who devotes much of her social media messaging to rhetoric against trans people.

Pascal took action on Instagram, under a video posted on April 17 by writer and activist Tariq Raouf, who refers to Rowling’s efforts to help the U.K. Supreme Court define women in a way that works against trans women as “Voldemort villain shit.” Rowling has helped to fund these efforts through her support of and contributions to the group For Women Scotland.

“It has become our mission as the general public to make sure that every single thing that’s ‘Harry Potter’-related fails,” Raouf also said.
