Adam Sandler and more are paying tribute to veteran actor Carl Weathers following his death on Feb. 1 at the age of 76. Among many notable roles in “Happy Gilmore,” “The Mandalorian,” “Predator” and more, Weathers is known for playing boxer Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” franchise.
“A true great man. Great dad. Great actor. Great athlete. So much fun to be around always,” Sandler wrote of his “Happy Gilmore” co-star on social media. “Smart as hell. Loyal as hell. Funny as hell. Loved his sons more than anything. What a guy!! Everyone loved him. My wife and I had the best times with him every time we saw him. Love to his entire family and Carl will always be known as a true legend.”

Selena Gomez Can’t Seem to Quit Social Media
“Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I’ve done it thousands of times.” The words of Mark Twain work surprisingly well when applied to Selena Gomez’s relationship with social media. The most followed woman on Instagram, fresh from a viral moment at the Golden Globes where she whispered something to Taylor Swift, announced to 428 million Ig followers on Jan. 9 that she’s “off social media for a while” to focus on “what really matters” (with a pic of music producer boyfriend Benny Blanco). Her fans were less than shocked because it’s far from the first time the 31-year-old has put her phone face-down: She did it in 2018, in 2020, in February and again in November after receiving backlash over comments about the conflict between Israel and Hamas. “I’m done. George Clooney, Michael McKean, Richard Roeper Remember Tom Wilkinson, Who “Made Every Actor Better”
George Clooney, Michael McKean and Richard Roeper are among the stars remembering acclaimed British actor Tom Wilkinson, who died “suddenly” on Saturday at the age of 75.
Wilkinson, known for his BAFTA-winning role in The Full Monty and Oscar-nominated turns in Michael Clayton and In the Bedroom, died at home, according to a statement from the actor’s family, who were with him when he died as was his wife.
For his role in Tony Gilroy’s Michael Clayton, the 2007 drama that starred George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, who won the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance, Wilkinson received a best supporting actor nod.
“Tom made every project better, made every actor better,” Clooney said of Wilkinson in a statement. “He was the epitome of elegance, and he will be dearly missed by all of us.”
McKean posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) that Wilkinson was a “great actor,...

Two young women drift, drink and explore volatile emotions in Sian Astor-Lewis’s debut feature, with powerful performances by Lilit Lesser and Josefine Glæsel
There are quite a few feature films around about teenage or very young women falling in love or at least experiencing queer desire for the first time, more than there were though far fewer than ones about young men. Some have been excellent – see, for example Pariah, But I’m a Cheerleader, or Portrait of a Lady on Fire. But some of the less polished examples have a worthy earnestness baked in, as if they’re on a didactic mission and straining to offer positive role models. To Nowhere, on the other hand, feels deeply personal, bloody as a fresh wound, and entirely sugar-free.
Made with just enough budget to cover a couple of song clearances and a few fancy fetish-shop props, this debut feature from writer-director...

Paul McCartney has appeared on Saturday Night Live several times as a musical guest and considers creator Lorne Michaels a good friend. The late-night sketch comedy series has taken advantage of having the legendary musician on the show and has featured him in a few sketches where the former Beatle can express his funnier side.

George Harrison was an excellent songwriter, often overshadowed by his fellow bandmates in The Beatles: John Lennon and Paul McCartney. His talent shone through, but it was often restricted, something he was frustrated by. Fellow songwriter and friend Bob Dylan agreed with his frustrations, saying he believed George Harrison could have been “as big as anybody” if he wasn’t with The Beatles.

McCartney and Lennon are among the most successful songwriting duos ever. While there are debates on who primarily wrote different songs, the Lennon-McCartney credit is attached to plenty of The Beatles’ biggest hits. Meanwhile, Harrison’s songwriting contributions were limited. Still, he was responsible for some memorable tracks, such as “Something” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.

The Strays is a thriller movie written and directed by Nathaniel Martello-White starring Ashley Madekwe.
The Strays appears to be a classic tv film with an actress that has been in hundreds of these and, however, the film has a look and theme that is more film centered close to Don´t Worry Darling or Us (the Jordan Peele movie) in its subject, although it is more English in its aesthetics.
Movie Review The Strays (2023)
This movie poses interesting considerations in a thriller, a little like the “new horror” of Peele, with intrigue that basically revolves around a greater vindication, which is entertainment in the form of a nightmare in English suburbia.
However, the great director with his ironies and suspense formulas is absent in this pic. Here the suspense is more horror and the intentions posed in the first third of the movie (especially in the look of the...

"There are people out to hurt us!" Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for a British psychological thriller titled The Strays, marking the feature directorial debut of actor Nathaniel Martello-White. He wrote and directed this film, which will be available for streaming this February on Netflix is anyone is intrigued. "A perfect life… a perfect lie… An upper-middle-class woman's perfectly crafted life begins to unravel with the arrival of two shadowy figures in her town." A Black woman's meticulously crafted life of privilege starts to fall apart when two strangers show up in her quaint suburb and begin to mess with her mind. The film stars Ashley Madekwe, Justin Salinger, Michael Warburton, Caroline Martin, Bukky Bakray, Maria Almeida, and Samuel Paul Small. This looks like a made-for-tv suburbia thriller, lacking any style or any original ideas, borrowing so much from Jordan Peele's mind. Might grab the attention of a few viewers.

Welsh actor Michael Sheen has been praised for a thunderous rallying call he gave on the panel of sports quiz programme A League of Their Own.
The Damned United star was asked to deliver a motivational speech for Robert Page’s Wales national football team, ahead of their World Cup clash with England.
Few were expecting what followed, however, with Sheen throwing himself completely into the task.
“I hear the voices singing. Speed your journey, bois bach [good heavens],” he said. “One nation, singing with one voice, a song of hope, a song of courage. A victory song that floats through the valleys, like a red mist, rolls over the mountain tops, like crimson thunder.
“A red storm is coming to the gates of Qatar. It crackles, with the spirit of ‘58 and Jimmy Murphy’s boys. It turns the pages of the history books and finds Rob’s page, waiting, still to be written.
