It's been six years since Alita: Battle Angel was released in theaters, and it has been a few years since James Cameron announced that a sequel is in the works. While a release date has yet to be revealed, its director, Robert Rodriguez, shared his thoughts on the project's progress.

In an interview with Joe Rogan, Rodriguez emphasized that Alita's journey in the Iron City is far from over and said he wanted to make another movie based on Yukito Kishiro's manga series. The filmmaker has previously stated that he was doubtful that a sequel would come to light due to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox. But his mindset changed when he saw more Fox films coming out. If a follow-up feature were to be made, he and Cameron would have enough material to make two more movies.

Jacob Elordi was planning on taking a break from acting — that is until “Saltburn” director Emerald Fennell asked him to play brooding hero Heathcliff in her upcoming adaptation of “Wuthering Heights.”

Zellweger’s announcement came last week via X. The photo features the actress’ name on the back of a chair, referencing Marvel Studios’ recent Avengers: Doomsday casting announcement.

Logan Lerman has joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building!

The 33-year-old actor has signed on for a guest role the fifth season of the hit Hulu series, Variety has confirmed. Not much is currently known about the nature of The Perks of Being a Wallflower star’s upcoming role in the show.

Selena Gomez, who plays one of the lead characters Mabel in the ensemble comedy, hinted at Logan‘s casting via Instagram on Saturday (April 5). In the post, she shared a behind-the-scenes photo of her posing with Logan, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Renee Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and showrunner John Hoffman.

While Steve and Martin are also main characters in the series, it was announced that Renee and Christoph would be joining season five last month.

If you didn’t know, a popular comedian has also joined the cast for season five in a recurring role.

Logan Lerman has been tapped for a recurring guest star role in Season 5 of Hulu’s Emmy-winning whodunit dramedy “Only Murders in the Building,” Variety has confirmed.
