Seth Rogen’s The Studio has confirmed being renewed for a second season by Apple TV+. This is testament to how well the show has been received with its star-studded appeal and satirical comedy, mocking some of Hollywood’s best-kept secrets. The show offers a perfect behind-the-scenes look at the Hollywood film industry, with Matt Remick, the newly appointed studio head for Continental Studios, juggling between creating movies that matter and movies that make money.
The series has garnered attention and praise across the globe, including some surprisingly high-profile cameos such as Charlize Theron, Martin Scorsese, and Ron Howard. However, I feel like certain things need to be addressed going into season 2, otherwise the show is doomed for failure.

The marketing campaign for Superman is starting to ramp up. However, with James Gunn confirming that the first Peacemaker season 2 trailer drops on Friday, the wait continues for more footage of the Dcu's Man of Steel in action.
In the meantime, a new promotional photo from Dairy Queen appears to show David Corenswet's Kal-El recreating the iconic cover art for All-Star Superman #1.
Gunn is all about embracing the comic books, and we expect to see plenty of familiar shots like this both in future marketing material and in theaters this July. Despite this nod, the filmmaker isn't adapting Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's magnum opus.
"I mean, All-Star Superman, there's a couple of them, but All-Star Superman is the thing that we borrow the most heavily from," Gunn said last December. "Our plot has nothing to do with All-Star Superman, but some of the aesthetics of what Grant...

Horror remakes get a bad rap – and let’s be honest, they often deserve it. For every clever reimagining, we’ve sat through a dozen limp reboots that sucked the life (and the scares) right out of the original. But sometimes, a remake comes along that doesn’t just cash in on nostalgia; it sharpens, reinvents, or even surpasses the source material.
With fresh remakes like Wolf Man (2025) and Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein reboot lighting up horror headlines, now’s the perfect time to revisit the remakes that proved this subgenre can deliver more than lazy copy-paste thrills. Here’s our list of horror reboots and remakes that earned their place in the genre’s blood-soaked hall of fame.

The Apple TV+ series The Studio is known for featuring big-name filmmakers playing themselves. So far, the show has seen cameos from directors like Martin Scorsese (Flowers of the Killer Moon), Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), Olivia Wilde (Don’t Worry Darling), Parker Finn (Smile), and Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors).
They all interact with Matt Remick (played by Seth Rogen), the new head of the fictional Continental Studios.
However, one of the latest episodes surprised fans with a cameo from none other than Zack Snyder. Unlike the other filmmakers, Snyder appears outside the studio setting. In episode 8, titled “The Golden Globes,” he shows up during a star-filled segment. The episode also features Adam Scott (Severance), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Jean Smart (Hacks), Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing), Ramy Youssef (#1 Happy Family USA), and Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos.

Love, Death + Robots has earned its place as one of Netflix’s top most thrilling animated shows. With millions of fans eagerly tuning in to watch bizarre, tech-infused tales that feel like a CGI version of Black Mirror, it’s clear that the series knows how to keep viewers hooked. Back with ten more jaw-dropping episodes in Love, Death + Robots Volume 4, fans almost got something even more special: a story directed by none other than Zack Snyder. Almost. Tim Miller, the mastermind behind Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate, is no stranger to creating high-octane, visually striking tales. This season, he’s directing not one, but two episodes, including The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur (Episode 7). But what you might not know is that Miller initially had a very different director in mind for this Love, Death + Robots Volume 4 episode—a director who’s practically the king of big, epic spectacles and slow-mo sequences: Zack Snyder.

The Studio’s Episode 8 is out, it’s called “The Golden Globes,” and it is another hilarious take on Hollywood and the politics, power, and ego games that come along with it. This time, the backdrop of the episode is the Golden Globe Awards, and it follows how Matt Remick, the head of Continental Studios, is desperately looking to be thanked in Zoe Kravitz’s speech.
The entire episode is a cat and mouse game of Matt trying to get a thank you in Zoe’s speech, for her film ‘Open’. What follows is a hilarious series of events that sheds light on the constant need for people in showbiz to be acknowledged and praised by their peers.
Hollywood’s obsessions with praise and recognition
The episode “The Golden Globes” has adequately shown how people in Hollywood have the innate need to be recognized and thanked, and appreciated for their contribution in huge award ceremonies.

If you ever wondered whether the Batman v Superman director is in on the joke, wonder no more. Zack Snyder—known for turning superheroes into tragic Greek gods and movies into extended cut marathons—popped up in Episode 8 of AppleTV+’s The Studio and delivered a cameo that’s equal parts self-deprecating and brilliant. Set during a fictional Golden Globes ceremony, the episode is stacked with celebrity appearances. Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, Ramy Youssef, Jean Smart, and Aaron Sorkin all show up playing exaggerated versions of themselves. But the loudest laugh of the night? That belonged to Snyder. As he takes the stage to announce an award, Zack Snyder drops the most Snyder line imaginable: “Thank you! Now for any of you who felt like the show has gone by too fast or who felt like it’s not nearly long enough, I’ll be releasing a 6-hour black and...

Getting a perfect 100% Rt score is not a small feat. Like, honestly, critics can be brutal, picky, or even allergic to fun sometimes. But when a movie manages to win all of them over, and we mean all of them, it’s already walking on rare air. Now, imagine mixing that fabulous critic score with a fat box office total, you’ve got a straight-up anomaly.
Sure, oftentimes movies either impress the masses or the critics, not both. But few movies managed to pull off this double act like it’s no big deal. Such movies are those that made zero enemies and all the money. They didn’t just crush reviews, they filled the theatre seats, broke records, and had people talking long after the credits rolled.
These cinematic unicorns proved that they can be both critically flawless and financially fabulous. So, if you think critical darlings can’t break the bank,...

Zack Snyder never fails to let an opportunity slip to show his support and appreciation for Henry Cavill. On May 5, the filmmaker didn't forget to wish Cavill a happy birthday.
The Man of Steel star celebrated his 42nd birthday, and Snyder was among those who were there to help him celebrate it. On a post on his X account, the director wished Cavill a happy birthday, and shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the actor. Casually, it also features an homage to a 47-year-old masterpiece.

The Dceu began with ambitious plans to mirror the success of the MCU. Warner Bros. envisioned a decade-long strategy to bring some of DC Comics’ most iconic characters to the big screen.
Although the films were financially successful, Zack Snyder’s darker vision did not resonate with audiences, leading to the eventual dissolution of the Dceu in favor of James Gunn’s rebooted Dcu. Despite some movies being considered failures, the Dceu did deliver several memorable superhero hits. Because of this, fans have flocked to Ranker to vote for their top 10 Dceu movies. Let’s dive into their selections.
10. ‘Blue Beetle’ (2023)
“Blue Beetle” was one of the final films released under the Dceu banner, spotlighting the superhero of the same name. While it didn’t draw huge audiences to theaters, it was a solid film with heartfelt family themes and a great portrayal of the character. The exciting news is...

James Gunn's Superman figures to be one of the biggest movies of the year and Hawkgirl actress Isabela Merced and Engineer actress Maria Gabriela de Faria are reflecting on their experiences at different points of the filming process.
For De Faria who portrays one of DC Comics' most powerful characters, the Engineer, she reflected on the physical nature of her role. It sounds like she'll have some intense fight scenes, although we haven't seen much of the character in any of the previously released footage.
Speaking to Remezcla, de Faria stated, "This experience was super challenging physically, but it was also very challenging emotionally. My character as The Engineer is a very physical character."
"And not only because of the image that the character has in the comic. But because of all the things I had to do on set. here is a lot of fighting and flying there.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for "The Last of Us" season 2 and the video game "The Last of Us: Part II."
Both seasons of "The Last of Us" have been caught between a rock and a hard place. The show is forced to balance the desires of fans who merely wanted a direct 1:1 recreation of every single cutscene from the acclaimed video game ... versus the rest of us who actually wanted a proper adaptation of the story, changes and all. As I laid out in my review of season 2 for /Film, the series remains at its best when it remembers to follow that latter approach. For my money, showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin make this entire venture worthwhile when they're making bold choices such as inventing entire characters out of nowhere, expanding certain storylines beyond the scope of the source material, and especially taking gambles on antagonists like...

Ben Affleck has a multifaceted legacy, he’s an Academy Award-winning director, a screenwriter, and an acclaimed actor. But amongst his many roles, there’s one figure that continues to follow him, i.e., Batman.
Affleck’s time in the DC Extended Universe was a bit controversial, as some found his version to be a refreshing take, while others did not like where the character was headed. After Henry Cavill, the next Superman actor also turns out to be the biggest nerd. We can’t help but celebrate David Corenswet for his love of the world of Star Wars. During the Star Wars day celebration, fans got to watch a video of Corenswet reciting the lines from the climax of Star Wars: The Trench Run, the video game from the universe.
Corenswet’s passionate love for the space universe almost reminds us of Cavill’s love for all things geeky. This nerd knowledge made Cavill a great performer in his role as Netflix’s The Witcher. Fans hope that Corenswet could pull off the same in a Star Wars role if he ever gets cast.

Our first look at Superman came in the form of an official still, though it was far more divisive than most early sneak peeks.
The intention was to show how different this Man of Steel is, with the hero lacing up his boots, one at a time. Unfortunately, it wasn't an overly flattering shot of the suit and Superman's seemingly relaxed actions seemed questionable with a huge glowing orb causing chaos outside.
The orb has been the subject of great debate; is it Metamorpho's evolved form, something Parasite-related, or could it even herald the arrival of Mongul?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, it's nothing quite that exciting.
"The big pink ball in the sky that we saw behind Superman when we got the First Look and then we saw it again in the trailer is a black hole that Lex created," the insider claims.
While this makes sense, we know it's...

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has those different vibes that just hit you differently. It has a raw feel, and there’s a character who steals the show, Knuckleduster. He has no quirk, just pure grit, and beats up villains like it’s personal.
His character carries that Batman aura, like he is on the streets eradicating crime, but much more savage. But to be more specific, Knuckleduster kinda reminds me of Midnighter, who is often seen as “the gay Batman”.
He is a true badass hero from DC, who takes no prisoners. Even though Knuckleduster and Midnighter are from different universes, they share some similarities, like their powerful characters that excel in close-quarters combat.

Zack Snyder is quite the controversial filmmaker of modern cinema. We’re familiar with his stylized approach to movies, and he’s made a brand of that for himself, but one of the biggest criticisms in his works is his own inconsistency. It’s safe to say that he is sort of the hit-and-miss type of director.
He is widely known for his efforts on the Dceu and the 300 franchise, but many sometimes forget he was also the one behind the zombie apocalypse title, Dawn of the Dead. This was his directorial debut and, surprisingly, the best work of his career.
Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead defied all expectations

Ezra Miller’s The Flash felt like a suppressed memory because of the controversies that plagued the franchise, as well as the long delay it endured. It should have been a highly anticipated movie because of the star-studded cast and the surprise cameos, but perhaps no amount of superhero legacy can fix a terrible script.

Netflix isn’t just a streaming service, but also a production house behind original movies and series; the streaming giants have proven they can deliver cinematic gems like The Irishman and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs that earned them the status of a legitimate player in the film industry.
When it comes to movies, like any art form, they have their highs and lows. Not every film becomes a sensation because of its storytelling or direction; sometimes, it’s the star power of the cast or the endless promotion from the team that takes a not-so-great movie from the back of the list to the spotlight.
Let’s look at some movies that have gained massive attention not for being a great movie with a story but due to sheer viral moments, a star-filled cast, and endless promotion. These movies prove that not all films deserve the hype they get.

Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), a.k.a Black Widow, is bored. When Thunderbolts* begins, we meet her as she’s going through the motions of saving the world, but without the fire and passion that defined her quest to avenge her sister Natasha Romanoff’s death. And what with Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe feeling like it’s at a standstill, given that there’s seemingly no endgame (pun intended) to all of its superheroics, it’s easy to sympathize. Indeed, if you’re a hardcore Marvel fan, you’re probably also in a similar funk.
For Yelena, at least, her solution to her troubles is to call it a career, which her boss, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis Dreyfus), is happy to allow her to do. But only after sending her on one last mission into an underground facility to assassinate Ava Starr (Hannah-John Kamen), a.

James Gunn’s Superman (2025) has been showing off just enough to keep fans buzzing but not enough to give away the whole plot. We’ve seen glimpses—Lex Luthor, Metamorpho, and a fire-breathing kaiju —but one mysterious figure has mostly lurked in the shadows. Until now. Thanks to a children’s activity book—yes, really—we finally have a full-body look at Ultraman, one of the film’s main villains. Forget blurry set pics and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it trailer shots. This Amazon listing dropped a full head-to-toe look: purple suit, big metallic “U” on his chest, and bug-eyed goggles. In the comics, Ultraman is basically Superman’s evil twin from another reality. Same powers, less moral compass. He crushes cities instead of saving kittens from trees. So far, in Gunn’s version, we’ve only seen him in quick trailer cuts—getting manhandled by David Corenswet’s Superman or loitering next...

The new DC Universe is continuing to grow, and 2026 will be no different as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will arrive in movie theaters as one of the franchise's upcoming installments. This year's Superman will pave the way for the Girl of Steel's arrival, but it's safe to say that fans are ready to keep up with the Kryptonians in the near-future. And that includes seeing them take on some of their greatest foes.
James Gunn and Peter Safran are overseeing the DC Studios franchise, which they have promised audiences will pay tribute to the DC Comics, providing faithful storylines that comic book fans will love. And given that Supergirl's subtitle comes from a beloved comic series, audiences are expecting a great deal from that one.

While fans anxiously await a second trailer for James Gunn's Superman, a new image has been unveiled that might give longtime DC fans some déjà vu from a bygone era of the franchise. Once upon a time, there was an uproar about the then-controversial third act of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, which featured Metropolis getting heavily destroyed by Zod and his army. It seems Superman will be destroying a bit of the fictional city once again, but probably not on the same destructive scale. However, one thing remains constant in each adaptation — Clark and Lois are always meant to find each other in the rubble.
A 2025 summer movie preview from USA Today revealed a new image from Superman that features David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as their respective characters around some rubble in Metropolis. It seems Lois Lane might be getting a post-fight interview with the super-powered vigilante,...

Henry Cavill’s last major appearance as Superman came in 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but three years before that, he starred in a critically panned action thriller that’s climbing streaming charts. Cavill stars alongside Ben Kinsley and Alexandra Daddario in Night Hunter, previously titled Nomis, the 2019 film following a police lieutenant and his force who find themselves hunting for a serial killer along with a vigilante. According to FlixPatrol, Night Hunter is one of the most popular movies on Paramount+’s global charts, sitting at #8 at the time of writing. Night Hunter is available to stream for free with ads via the Roku Channel in the U.S. The film earned a “rotten” score of 14% from critics and a 50% rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
Night Hunter came one year after Henry Cavill made his debut in the Mission: Impossible franchise, starring opposite Tom Cruise in Fallout.

While there were a ton of casting rumors for Superman: Legacy, now known as Superman back in late-2023, there was only one name ever attached to the role of Jimmy Olsen, and that was actor Skyler Gisondo .
This is a rare instance where the #1 fan choice for a character actually secures the role.
Jimmy Olsen is a rich comic book character with over 80 years of history as Superman's best pal. However, he gets into trouble so much, Olsen often wears a high-frequency supersonic Signal Watch that, when switched on, will signal to the Man of Steel that he needs to be rescued.
With all of that history in mind, how does Gisondo feel about taking on such a legacy character? Appearing on the DC Studios Showcase podcast, the actor revealed that he's anxious to see a first cut of the film and that he hopes he did the character's legacy justice.

Kal-El, Man of Steel, Superman, Clark Kent, the names are many, but the character is one. Over the years, a range of different actors brought the iconic superhero to life on our screens, receiving love and support from the audience.
From the world of DC Comics, Superman is one of the most beloved characters in the whole world. The ‘S’ that stands for hope has been a symbol of an optimistic, all-good hero who does not ever go wrong (except maybe a few times).

The DC Extended Universe ended in 2023 with the sight of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's Orm eating a cockroach. After a disastrous year for the brand, it almost seemed fitting for it to conclude on such a bum note, but it wasn't all bad for the Dceu.
Sure, it was a rocky ride, and there were perhaps more misses than hits over the years, but it would be wrong to write this franchise off as a total disaster. A few of these titles were even great comic book movies, and it's those that the Dcu will need to compete with.
Ahead of Superman's release in theaters this July, we're ranking each of the Dceu movies from best to worst. Remember, this is only one person's opinion, and you're likely to have a very different take; we'd love to hear those in the comments section.

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Comics will not have to face a lawsuit over the rights to Superman that looked to block the release of the studio’s tentpole film in several countries ahead of its July release, a court has ruled.
U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman on Thursday dismissed the lawsuit from the estate of Joseph Shuster, the co-creator of Superman, finding that he doesn’t have authority over the case since the copyright infringement claims were brought under the laws of foreign countries.
In a statement, a Wbd spokesperson said, “As we have consistently maintained, DC controls all rights to Superman.”
On Friday, the lawsuit was refiled in New York state court.

Netflix released their Summer 2025 movie lineup this morning, and while you won’t find any real horror on the list, there was one movie that at least caught our attention.
Matthias Schweighöfer (Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead) stars in the upcoming horror-thriller Brick, which will begin streaming exclusively on Netflix on July 10, 2025.
In the film, “Tim (Matthias Schweighöfer) and Olivia (Ruby O. Fee) awake trapped in their apartment behind an impenetrable, futuristic wall which has materialized overnight … and they are not alone. The entire building and its residents seem to be enclosed.
“What happened? Who built that wall and why? Without any chance of outside help, they must band together to find a way out. Can they solve the mystery of the wall in time — and survive?”
Philip Koch directed Netflix Original Brick, which also stars Frederick Lau, Salber Lee Williams, Murathan Muslu, Axel Werner, Sira-Anna Faal, and Alexander Beyer.

It’s not uncommon for even some of the most beloved movies to undergo extensive rewrites. Hey, Good Will Hunting was initially a thriller about a math genius working for the Nsa, and no, that’s not a joke. Sometimes, though, a movie gets exponentially worse with each rewrite, starting with a brilliant script and getting whittled down to box-office toothpicks.
5 Dragonball Evolution
If you want to see a Dragon Ball Z fan get mad, steal their lunch money, but you could also try mentioning the 2009 movie, which was both disowned by fans as barely resembling the series and lambasted by critics. Both lamented the movie that could have been, however, after the original script surfaced on the internet. It stuck much more closely to the original manga’s storyline, but it was deemed too expensive by the studio, who forced screenwriter Ben Ramsey into no fewer than five rewrites.

We’re only a few months away from the release of Superman, the first tentpole film in James Gunn’s Dcu, but the universe has already begun to take shape beyond its debut movie. One of the projects already announced and kicked into production is Lanterns, the Max original series that will see Rebel Ridge star Aaron Pierre step into the role of John Stewart, with Friday Night Lights star Kyle Chandler set to star opposite him as Hal Jordan. No Country for Old Men veteran Garrett Dillahunt sparked rumors that he had been cast as the Dcu’s Green Arrow/Oliver Queen after sharing some concept art of himself as the character, but James Gunn recently took to his personal Threads account to debunk this theory by responding to a fan who asked if it was true, simple saying “Haha, no.”

Ben Affleck‘s Christian Wolff from The Accountant is one of the most unusual action heroes to emerge over the last decade or so. Now, let’s face it – when people think of accountants, they don’t think of action heroes. Indeed, that’s one of the trademarks of the series, with Affleck’s unassuming-looking Wolff deliberately made up to look non-threatening or nerdy, only for him to possess skills that make him an unstoppable badass when push comes to shove. But, not only is he “nerdy”, but he’s also autistic. Unlike most films that would be about this condition, it’s not presented as a handicap, but rather an essential part of who he is, both good and bad, making the film a refreshing change of pace from other movies about the condition. With The Accountant 2 now in theatres, we thought now would be the perfect time to examine why,...

With spoilers, we look at how Andor season 2 brings a thematic depth to Star Wars that makes its flaws easier to overlook.
Nb: The following contains spoilers for Andor season 2 episodes 1 to 3.
For all the eloquent dialogue about rebellion and self-sacrifice, it’s the simplest images that stick in the memory: a Tie Fighter’s guns turned on the Empire that created it might be one of the single most satisfying sights we’ve had from Star Wars in years.
Yes, Andor’s back for a second season, and looking at the largely rapturous online response, it satisfies an audience hunger for a Star Wars story that does more than cosset its viewers in fantasy and nostalgia. Once again, showrunner Tony Gilroy brings a historian’s eye to the story of the Rebel Alliance versus the Empire, exploring both the cogs behind the fascistic war machine and how a disparate...

Fan-favorite director Zack Snyder is well known for his dark, gritty take on superheroes and his slow-motion action heavy set pieces. His credits are full of features like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the Army of the Dead films and the Rebel Moon franchise. But before he got to make any of those well-known feature films, he directed an underrated animated fantasy film which will now return to Max.

The Dceu had a fascinating history. It started out sort of strong with 2013's Man of Steel, which, despite critical difficulties, made a somewhat respectable amount of money at the box office. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there, with a series of critical failures like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2016's Suicide Squad and Justice League.
The franchise showed glimmers of hope every now and then with films like 2017's Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam!, but their success wasn't enough to keep the ship afloat in the long run. Look, let's face it, the Dceu needs to be studied. It took hit after hit, but it kept going, to the point where it got many thinking, "Goddamn, what a champ. How many more hits can it take?"
Finally, following multiple financial and critical failures, the Dceu perished and the Dcu, a new live-action franchise overseen by DC Studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran,...

The entertainment industry is always changing, but one way it's stayed the same throughout the years is with moviegoers complaining about casting choices. Even before we had Twitter or Facebook as outlets for our anger, actors were receiving backlash for taking on roles that were deemed unfitting, miscast, or seemingly impossible for them to play. Bu time and time again, undeniably great actors prove critics and detractors wrong.
Take, for instance, the recently-confirmed John, Paul, George, and Ringo in Sam Mendes' four-part Beatles biopic, hitting theaters in spring 2028. The decision to cast several "white boys of the month" like Paul Mescal and Joseph Quinn as the iconic musicians has some skeptics questioning if they'll be able to pull it off. For now, movie lovers will have to wait three years to see if that decision pays off, but in the meantime, let's take a look back at some casting choices from the past that,...

Zack Snyder is best known for his work in the superhero genre, having helmed several fan-favorite DC adaptations, like Watchmen, Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. What some of his fans might not know is that he also directed an underrated animated fantasy film, and it's heading back to Max next month.
Beginning May 1, Snyder fans can stream Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole on Max. Based on the Guardians of Ga'Hoole book series by Kathryn Lasky, the 2010 animated fantasy adventure film focuses on barn owl Soren, who is kidnapped and taken to St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls led by Metal Beak and Nyra, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. Ben Affleck has been talking about the downside of playing Batman, and the costume he had to wear. As if it was a surprise.
The rule of playing Batman on the big screen is that in exchange for wearing a cumbersome and uncomfortable suit, you get to look like Batman. A decent trade off, but one that actors have constantly wrestled with.
Adam West, for one, wanted more scenes as Bruce Wayne when it came to 1966’s Batman: The Movie, so fed up was he of wearing Batman’s mask. Michael Keaton, in the Tim Burton era, struggled to move his neck at one stage. Clooney ended up with tits.
Now add to the list of unhappy Batmen Mr Ben Affleck, who’s on the promotional trail for The Accountant 2 at the moment. Chatting to GQ, Affleck was steered off the subject of the film in question, and back to his Batman days,...

While DC’s new behind-the-scenes (BTS) video for Superman (2025) doesn’t offer a dramatic reveal, it quietly drops a significant detail for cinema tech fans: cinematographer Henry Braham Bsc is wielding the Stabileye Nano paired with the Red V-Raptor — a lightweight, compact, yet monstrously powerful digital cinema camera. It’s the kind of “blink and you’ll miss it” moment that tells a much bigger story about how Superman is being brought to life with cutting-edge tools. This subtle yet impactful footage confirms what we’ve already explored in our coverage of the film’s production: DC and director James Gunn are embracing a different kind of superhero storytelling — one that values agility, precision, and a modern cinematic language over brute-force grandeur. And the tools reflect that.

"Look up."
It's more than a catchy moniker at the end of a preview; it's a request for all fans of DC Studios and Zack Snyder zealots. Looking up implies to keep your head up, find something out there in the ether that is otherwise not visible. To look up means to have eyes on the horizon because there—and only there—is where something bright rests in the future.
It was defined for fans once upon a time. That insignia on this hero's chest. Although it looks like a letter "S," Lois Lane, and the countless millions who swear Henry Cavill's rendition of Superman is the best any DC property will ever make, was told differently. Remember?

Ben Affleck is basically Hollywood’s walking plot twist. One day, he’s directing an Oscar-winning drama, the next, he’s going viral for balancing a tray of Dunkin’ iced coffees like it’s a high-stakes mission. He’s not just Batman, he’s the moody meme, the screenwriter-turned-superstar, and the guy who somehow juggles prestige films and tabloid chaos like it’s a full-time sport.
There’s something oddly comforting about how unpredictable he is. He’ll give a killer performance one week and look completely done with life in the next paparazzi shot. But behind all that Affleck-ness are some seriously strange, unexpected, and low-key fascinating facts.
From bizarre childhood moments to low-key genius-level achievements and strange side gigs, there’s more to Ben than brooding and Batmobiles. You’ve seen him on screen, in memes, and probably in your social feed more than once. Now, it’s...

A video has surfaced online of David Corenswet's Superman suit, and it offers a chance to get a close-up of the reimagined costume the actor wears in the upcoming film.
Judianna Makovsky, who previously collaborated with James Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Suicide Squad, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is the costume designer for Superman. Although it should be noted that the Superman suit was a collaborative process between Makovsky, Gunn, and Corenswet.

As for the Man of Steel himself, David Corenswet has expressed how much he’s loving every moment of stepping into the role of DC’s iconic big blue Boy Scout. Interestingly, he’s also admitted that he feels the real pressure falls more on James Gunn as the director and mastermind behind the Dcu.

Perhaps, it’s time to take out your tissues over your black capes, because Gotham might be losing another Batman. Yep, it’s looking real gloomy, because we’ve already been facing the dreadful delay situation with Robert Pattinson’s The Batman 2. And now, reports suggest that his broody eyes and emo eyeliner might be facing the axe.
And who warned us about this, ages ago? Zack Snyder fans, of course! They’ve been waving red flags louder than a Bat-Signal. Now, James Gunn is reportedly scouting for his own version of the Dark Knight for the rebooted DC Universe—and things aren’t looking good for Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Marvel’s going a little darker, and honestly, it’s about time. The Studios is ready to shake things up with the upcoming Thunderbolts*, and if the recent updates are to be believed, this movie could mark a turning point that the MCU has been looking for in recent years.
Thunderbolts* just became the first Marvel movie to get PG-13 with a special note for intense violence – and it’s safe to say that, unlike past entries, it’s not going to limit itself to family-friendly content.
And fans who’ve been waiting for something a little less shiny and a little more intense are here for it. Moreover, even Zack Snyder would probably give this one a nod of approval.
Marvel is finally embracing its dark side with Thunderbolts*
Marvel Studios is clearly stepping into a new territory with Thunderbolts*, and longtime fans of darker superhero stories are paying close attention.

February 2025 – a new Superman comics series from Dan Slott finally hits store shelves. Most fans got to see the original cover, featuring characters from all over the Man of Steel’s publication history. However, a lucky few got the official variant cover, which features the latest live-action Superman, David Corenswet… alongside James Gunn, who now calls the shots in the revamped Dcu. Now, it’s not the first time we’ve seen guest stars on the cover of a comic book. Remember when Jerry Seinfeld appeared on a cover with Superman and Batman? That said, it seems as if James Gunn is now in everything DC-related. And I mean everything – from comics, to TV shows, and even animated cameos, the Dcu might as well be the Gunniverse from now on. Granted, there’s nothing wrong with the idea of a Gunniverse: after all, the Snyderverse engraved Zack Snyder’s visual panache all over its films.
