You may remember in October lat year, Pinewood Studios were in the news for their Pinewood Studios expansion project being rejected by South Buckinghamshire District Council. The project would see 110 acres of land turned into new sets which would have included re-creations of San Francisco, New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, New Orleans, Venice’s Canale Grande, Berlin and Montmartre in Paris and 1400 homes. The project also boasts the creation of 630 new job (rising to 930) production cost saving and and a 45% reduction of carbon emissions. The rejection was a big blow to the UK’s largest studio which has most recently shot huge films which include Kick-Ass, Robin Hood, Clash of the Titans, Moon, Quantum of Solace and The Dark Knight.
