Born in Vienna, Kurt was a big strapping boy, whose first love was boxing. After the Anschluss, (The German annexation of Austria in 1938) Kurt was conscripted into the German armed forces. After the war, Kurt returned to boxing, eventually winning the Austrian Heavy Weight championship.

Kurt migrated to Canada, and settled in Toronto. He married twice, he had one son from his first marriage, and a son, and a daughter, from his second.

Kurt worked as a stage hand, and a grip, and eventually, due to his physique, started getting small parts, mostly non-speaking, due to his thick Austrian accent.

Kurt passed away prior to 1984, due to a heart attack.
