Interview: Unleashing the Wildling with Director/Co-Writer Fritz Böhm and Co-Stars James Le Gros and Troy Ruptash
On Friday the 13th (of April), Fritz Böhm’s lycanthropic fairy tale Wildling will arrive in theaters in both Los Angeles and New York, and it will also be available on VOD nationwide. The film is centered on Anna (Bel Powley), a teenage girl raised in isolation by “Daddy” and taught to fear the “Wildlings” (vicious creatures that eat children). After being rescued by a local sheriff (Liv Tyler), Anna is introduced to the outside world for the very first time, but as Anna begins her journey of discovery, things spiral out of control, as she suspects that her “Daddy” wasn’t telling her everything about her true nature and how it relates to the folklore she grew up fearing.

The first-time feature from Böhm, Wildling co-stars James Le Gros, Troy Ruptash, and Mike Faist. The film recently celebrated its world premiere at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival, which is where...

Liv Tyler & Bel Powley in Official Trailer for Werewolf Horror 'Wildling'
"Do you want to hear a story about the Wildling?" IFC Midnight has released the first official trailer for a new werewolf horror film titled Wildling, which just premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin this last week. The film stars Bel Powley (from The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Carrie Pilby) as a young woman who seems to be a she-wolf, discovering the truth about her origins and who she really is. The cast includes Liv Tyler, Brad Dourif, James Le Gros, Mike Faist, Troy Ruptash, and Charlotte Ubben. This actually doesn't look so bad, more of a drama than a horror, but it looks to get into some werewolf action by the end. The final shot in this trailer is cool, and they of course don't want to reveal much else besides that for now. But it grabbed my interest, and I think this might be worth a watch.

Internalizing Childhood Fairy Tales, Director Fritz Böhm Makes Debut With ‘Wildling’ — SXSW
Fritz Böhm
Growing up with fairy tales at bedtime from his mother, writer/director Fritz Böhm took these stories to heart. Indeed, these fairy tales were the critical influence behind the director’s feature directorial debut, the horror-fantasy thriller Wildling. Starring Liv Tyler, Troy Ruptash, and James LeGros, the SXSW-premiering film follows a blossoming teenager who uncovers a dark secret behind her traumatic childhood. In the film, as Böhm tells it, he would be able to create…...

Interview: Director Hunter Adams on Release of ‘Dig Two Graves’
Chicago – One of the local filmmaker heroes has been Hunter Adams, the director of “Dig Two Graves.” Shot in Southern Illinois in the infamous “Little Egypt” area, Adams took a shoestring budget and created a tense and mysterious supernatural thriller. “Dig Two Graves” will get its theatrical and iTunes release on Friday, March 24th, 2017, and will play in Chicago at the AMC River East Theatre (details below).

The film mixes unexplained elements with a thriller about generational violence that has plagued a small town. After 13-year-old Jacqueline Mather (Samantha Isler) loses her brother in a mysterious drowning, she is visited by three backwoods moonshiners who give her a strange offer…they can bring her brother back to life. This bizarre promise is linked to Mather’s grandfather, the local Sheriff Waterhouse (Ted Levine), as his dark history is tied to the true intentions of the moonshiners. The film is set in the 1970s,...

Samantha Isler in Full Trailer for Supernatural Thriller 'Dig Two Graves'
"How far would you go to bring someone back?" Area 23a has debuted a trailer for an indie horror titled Dig Two Graves, from director Hunter Adams, which has been waiting for distribution for years. This film premiered at the New Orleans Film Festival way back in 2014, but is just now getting released in theaters March 2017. Samantha Isler stars as the lead, with Ted Levine, Danny Goldring, Troy Ruptash, Rachael Drummond, Dean Evans and Bradley Grant Smith. This looks fairly creepy, and probably forgettable. Mr. October: Troy Ruptash
Troy Ruptash is more than just an often-shirtless, tattooed bad boy. He's also the vampiric villain of the new sequel 30 Days of Night: Dark Days: Agent Norris. He terrorizes his human victims, and his viewers, with a sexy and evil delivery that will hopefully keep us conflicted about turning the lights off at night. Ruptash exudes a casual dark side; he's physically intimidating but charming and funny. In short, he's dangerous. And from Vancouver. And he's our Scary Stud of the Month. Troy tells us what it's like to be a vampire while doing so many sit-ups.

Troy always looks carefully to his right, and then his left, before crossing the street.

Tell us a little about your role in 30 days of Night: Dark Days, in detail! What's your character's driving motivations, and what do you like about the role?

I play Agent Norris. He's an FBI Agent who...

New images from 30 Days of Night: Dark Days unveiled
Movieweb have unveiled a handful of new images from the 30 Days Of Night sequel Dark Days which is being released on DVD and Blu-ray in the Us this October courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

It’s been a year since the Alaskan town of Barrow’s population was decimated by vampires during its annual month long sunset. Riddled with grief over the death of her husband, bound by nightmares and void of all emotions beyond hate and sorrow, Stella (Sanchez) has spent the past months traveling the world, trying to convince others that vampires exist. Met with skepticism and laughter, Stella is ready to throw in the towel when a group of lost souls (Coiro, Baird and Perrineau) offers an incredible opportunity: the chance to exact revenge upon Lilith (Kirshner), the vampire queen responsible for the assault on her sleepy Alaskan town. With nothing remaining to live for, and nothing left to fear,...

Mm@M Season 1 Wrap Up
Right at this moment, you're either gearing up for the Season 3 finale of Mad Men, you're seasons behind on DVD, or you've never seen an episode. No matter your situation I hope you got something from this "Mad Men at the Movies" series which looked at the movies referenced on the series. We'll deal with seasons 2&3 later. As you read this I am at a fab Mad Men party.

The last two episodes of the season 1 have no movie love. But in "Nixon vs. Kennedy" the jaded Don Draper we know (Jon Hamm) flashes back to meeting the original Don Draper (Troy Ruptash) who is unimpressed with the then naive young man.

Don Draper to Don Draper: What misconception travelled down the road and made you want to be here... a movie?Deliciously dizzying it is. A television series that loves the movies disses the cinema's great capacity to lie...

'30 Days of Night' Set Visit: 'Ginger Snaps' Star Katherine Isabelle Joins Cast!
This past week Bloody Disgusting's Evan Katz headed up north to Vancouver to check out the set of Sony Stage 6's 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days, which is currently being directed by Ben Ketai. Beyond the break you'll find a little teaser from set, which reveals some brand new casting including Ginger Snaps star Katherine Isabelle! While Id already known about the casting of Kiele Sanchez, Mia Kirschner, Rhys Coiro, Diora Baird, Harold Perrineau, Troy Ruptash, Jackson Berlin, John De Santis, and Marco Sorian I was pleasantly surprised to find Katherine Isabelle of Ginger Snaps fame was has a role in the film. I cant give away too much, but her scene involved a skimpy blue nightgown, fifty degree weather, and a highly unorthodox vampiric initiation ritual. Really screwed up, intense stuff. More...
