Emma Roberts and Matt Rife are joining forces!

The 34-year-old actress and the 29-year-old comedian have signed on for a new romantic comedy movie titled Marriage Material. Trish Sie is set to direct the film from Buzzfeed Studios, and the screenplay is by Ben Agron and Brandon Feldman.

The movie will tell the story of “a founder of a dating app, whose deadbeat husband’s alimony payments are bleeding her dry, so she must use it to find him a new wife before her company goes public.”

The new legal drama series All's Fair finally has a release window!

Ahead of Disney's Upfronts presentation on Tuesday, May 13, Hulu officially unveiled a generous first look at All's Fair, complete with a two-minute teaser trailer, the key art poster, a number of images featuring the star-studded cast, and the coveted release window. While the streamer didn't provide a month, the legal drama will be released this fall on Hulu, which could be anytime between September and November.

When the series was first announced in December 2023, it's no secret that some might not have expected the show to be good.

Exclusive: Hulu has handed a pilot order to Group Chat, a satirical comedy starring and executive produced by La La Anthony (Bmf), written and executive produced by black-ish creator Kenya Barris and executive produced by Kim Kardashian.

Group Chat landed at Hulu for development in summer 2024 as the first project under a first-look deal Kardashian signed with 20th Television. The Disney TV Studios division co-produces the comedy with BET Studios where Barris is a principal partner.

Dennis Quaid has cast doubt on the possibility of The Parent Trap ever getting a sequel. The 1998 film stars Quaid opposite the late Natasha Richardson, with Lindsay Lohan playing both of the children — Hallie Parker and Annie James — who were raised separately but are now trying to bring their parents back together. The way the film portrays family dynamics by separating identical twins at birth and never mentioning to one that they even have a twin, only to use them to reunite the parents, was viewed as controversial by many upon release. During a recent interview with Business Insider to talk about his new project, Happy Face, Quaid poured cold water on the possibility of him ever returning for a sequel to the 1998 film:

"There had been some talk, but it would be impossible to do now... No, and nobody else does. I don't think we'd have the heart for it.

Earlier this week, Sony Pictures released a new poster for “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which stars “General Hospital” alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) and sees Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt (“9-1-1”) reprising their roles from the iconic film of the same name which set off the franchise in 1997.

For the vast majority of their existence, A24 has been a distributor of motion pictures. That means they find movies that other people have already made, and they manage the film's release. In recent years, they've moved into the production side, but for the most part "A24 movies" are simply movies that fit the distributor's brand identity.

That's totally fine, as far as it goes. Like a popstar who doesn't write their own material but has an incredible ear for a hit, there's a certain artistry to curation, too. “Hemlock Grove” creator Brian McGreevy will make his feature directorial debut on the psychological thriller The Technique, Deadline reports.

Kelsey Asbille (Don’t Move), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”), Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect), Emma Roberts (Scream 4), Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) are set to star.

McGreevy also wrote the script, although plot details are being kept under wraps.

Over a decade since the comedy came out in theaters, none of the actors have an encouraging update about the sequel. The comedy starred Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Will Poulter, and Emma Roberts. In a new interview with People at the SXSW Film & TV Festival to promote his latest film, Death of a Unicorn, Poulter revealed he doesn't think We're the Millers 2 will ever happen.

Speaking about the 2013 film and whether a sequel was in development, the actor said, "Like We're Still the Millers? There was, I think."

However, Poulter continued, "I don't think it's gonna happen. I mean, no one else is [but] I’m too old now. But, yeah, it was a fun time.

Per Deadline, Lange shot down the possibility of returning to American Horror Story during a recent appearance at the Glasgow Film Festival for the premiere of director Jonathan Kent's feature film adaptation of playwright Eugene O'Neil's Long Day’s Journey Into Night. When asked about a potential return to the series, Lange responded with an emphatic "Oh Christ, no." Lange added, "I mean, I haven't done it for more than 10 years, 12 years, so, no, I'm not doing it." When asked if the series' upcoming thirteenth season potentially being its last had any impact on her decision, Lange replied with a simple, "No."

With the 97th Oscars just days away, celebrating the best movies and performances of 2024, the 45th Razzies is highlighting the worst of the worst. Among the films nominated for Worst Picture, Madame Web took home the top prize.

Among the other films nominated for the Golden Raspberry for Worst Picture were the highly anticipated sequel (and highly disappointing), Joker: Folie à Deux; Francis Ford Coppola's bizarre Megalopolis; big-budget (and bigger bomb) video game adaptation, Borderlands; and the Reagan biopic with Dennis Quaid. The Oscars will honor the best movie of the year this Sunday, but the infamous Razzie Awards have crowned the “worst” of 2024’s films.

Sony’s much-derided superhero film “Madame Web” has the (dis)honor of winning three Razzies, including worst picture, actress for Dakota Johnson and screenplay. “Joker: Folie à Deux,” another divisive superhero entry,” led with seven nominations and took home screen combo for Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga and prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel.

Francis Ford Coppola won for directing his big-budget epic “Megalopolis,” and star Jon Voight won supporting actor for the film — shared with his turns in “Reagan,” “Shadow Land” and “Strangers.” Coppola’s “Megalopolis” received six nominations, which was tied for second-most nods with “Madame Web,” “Borderlands” and “Reagan.”

The famed filmmaker responded to his Razzies on Instagram, saying “box office is only about money, and like war, stupidity and politics has no true place in our future.

The results are in on the 2025 Razzie Awards where the year’s “worst” movies are recognized and awarded.

The annual ceremony, which traditionally takes place just ahead of the Oscars, went down on Friday (February 28).

Going into the event, Borderlands, Joker: Folie a Deux, Madame Web, Megalopolis and Reagan led the field of nominees with six nods a piece. After it was all said and done, Madame Web took home the most “wins,” receiving three trophies.

The Academy Awards take place on Sunday evening and, as has become the tradition, the full list of "winners" from the 2025 Razzie Awards has just been unveiled.

Madame Web took three wins for "Worst Picture," "Worst Screenplay," and an arguably well-deserved "Worst Actress" for lead star Dakota Johnson. Well, we still don't have anything to go on regarding what the 13th season of American Horror Story will be about, but one thing we do know is that star Jessica Lange will not be returning under any circumstance. She made that quite clear during a recent interview with Irish radio station Spin 1038 while promoting her new movie Long Day's Journey Into Night.

Lange was asked if she'd be on season 13 and she immediately replied, "Oh, Christ no," noting that she hadn't done the show in about 10 years or so and apparently has no desire to change that. Even when the follow-up question was if she'd go back if specifically asked to, Lange said no, making it clear she's done her time on the FX horror anthology.
