Jean Rasey started acting at the age of sixteen. She attended the prestigious American Conservatory Theatre of San Francisco under scholarship for three years. She appeared in the theatrical production "Cyrano de Bergerac" starring Marc Singer, Marsha Mason and Peter Donat. Jean also starred in smaller productions at A.C.T. She played small roles in "Sara" (1976) (TV) and in the film "Rollercoaster" (1977).

Upon moving to Los Angeles, California she landed the ingenue role of Irene Breslaus in the 1975 motion picture "The Hindenburg" directed by Robert Wise. That was the film that launched her acting career. Ms. Rasey has always loved the theatre and had the wonderful opportunity to understudy Stockard Channing in the role of Rosiland in Tony Richardson's theatrical production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" at the Long Beach Arena Theatre. Jean is best known for playing the character of George Faye in the television series, "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" (1977) with Pamela Sue Martin, George O'Hanlon Jr. and William Schallert. From 1975 to the present, she has starred and guest starred in various other television show's, motion pictures, commercials and theatrical productions throughout her professional career. She appeared at the Hollywood Show on January 12 to 13, 2013 at the Westin Hotel near Los Angeles Airport (LAX) with Pamela Sue Martin, George O'Hanlon Jr. and William Schallert.
