“Foundation” is back for more sci-fi thrills with the first official teaser for Season 3, reuniting Jared Harris, Lee Pace and Lou Llobell.

“Foundation” Season 3 debuts Friday, July 11 on Apple TV+ followed by weekly episodes through Friday, September 12.

With new stars this season including Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur, Emmy-winner Cherry Jones and Brandon P. Bell, the story picks up 152 years after the events of Season 2. The official synopsis reads: “The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty’s Empire has dwindled. As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as ‘The Mule.'”

The show is produced for Apple by Skydance Television. Executive producers include David S. Goyer, Bill Bost, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Robyn Asimov, David Kob, Christopher J. Byrne, Leigh Dana Jackson, Jane Espenson and Roxann Dawson.

The annual event is taking place on Saturday night (February 22) at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif.

The theme of this year’s show is “Our Stories, Our Culture, Our Excellence,” with the event celebrating Black excellence.

The nominees for Entertainer of the Year this year are Cynthia Erivo, Keke Palmer, Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Hart, and Shannon Sharpe. The Piano Lesson leads the motion picture categories with 14 nominations while Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist leads the television categories with nine nominations.

On Friday, Fox revealed the cast for Season 3 of its star-studded social experiment, which returns for a special five-week event on Jan. 8 at 8pm Et, seeing 16 celeb recruits taking on the actual challenges of the Special Forces selection process.

The Prime Video comedy series “Harlem” returns for a third season on Jan. 23, the streamer announced this week. The show will premiere worldwide across more than 240 countries through Amazon’s Prime Video platform. Created by Tracy Oliver, “Harlem” will continue to follow its four main best friends, Quinn (Grace Byers), Tye (Jerrie Johnson), Camille (Meagan Good) and Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), through romance, friendship, motherhood and their professional careers.

Actor-singer Kyla Pratt stars “The Memo,” a film adaptation of the psychological thriller by Minda Harts, which also features music from pioneering female rapper and musician Mc Lyte.

According to the announcement, the film is a first-hand account of the tumultuous journey of a woman navigating the corporate ladder, starring Pratt, who starred in Eddie Murphy’s “Dr. Dolittle” films and multiple television series. Per The Wrap, Back in Action will make its Netflix premiere on Nov. 15. The parody film attempts to mock Tyler Perry's Madea series with a lead character named Taylor Pherry, played by Kevin Daniels. The movie has been criticized for being lazy and cheap, with many audience reviews slamming it and giving it a low approval rating.

Not Another Church Movie may have some top talent, including Jamie Foxx and Mickey Rourke, but the film has landed both of them one of the worst Rotten Tomatoes scores of their careers. Oscar-winning actor and Grammy-winning singer Jamie Foxx vehemently denies sexual assault allegations stemming from a 2015 incident in New York, calling a new lawsuit against him "frivolous."

In a statement issued through his representative on Nov. 23, via People, Foxx claimed the alleged altercation, which took place at Catch NYC, didn't happen and believes he will be vindicated once the claims are proven false. "The alleged incident never happened," the statement read. "In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again."

Per Variety, the lawsuit against Foxx identified a woman as Jane Doe, who accused Foxx of inappropriately touching her during an encounter at the Catch NYC rooftop lounge in 2015. According to the woman, Foxx took her to a corner of the bar and groped her against her wishes. The woman claimed she and her friend were seated at the lounge with Foxx and Catch NYC owner Mark Birnbaum when Foxx was asked to take pictures with them. While taking the photos, Foxx allegedly told the plaintiff, "Wow, you have that supermodel body," and "You smell so good," before claiming she resembled Gabrielle Union.

Steven Simon of Landis Simon Management & Productions passed away on Sunday. According to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner, Simon, who had hypertensive heart disease, died of natural causes. He was 55.

Simon had a long career championing kids for TV, film and musical theater. He helped shepherd Me, Earl and The Dying Girl’s Rj Cyler, Supergirl’s Nicole Maines, Tony Award Winner Marissa Jaret Winokur, Kyla Pratt, Robert Ri’chard and writer/director Ron Carlson, among others.

Simon got his start in reality casting before to shifting to agency work at Acme Talent and Literary where he became head of Acme Kids.

In 2011 he and Judy Landis, with whom Simon had worked on many projects over the decades, decided to join forces and start Landis-Simon Management & Productions.

Written and directed by Johnny Mack with James Michael Cummings as co-director, “Not Another Church Movie” stars Kevin Daniels as Taylor, a man given a mission from God to tell his family’s stories and inspire his community… even if his family and his community aren’t making that easy. Also not making it easy: the Devil (Mickey Rourke), who has plans of his own.
