Writer, director and producer from Argentina, he earned a Bachelor of
Media Arts specialization in screenwriting, directing and production.
Playwright, professor of visual communication and at the European Film
Academy. Writer of several Spanish and Argentine films, among which
include "Sus ojos se cerraron" (Her eyes closed), directed by Jaime
Chávarri (Silver Condor for Best Screenplay) (Cóndor de Plata al mejor
guión) "Fugitive", directed by Miguel Hermoso (Goya award) "All lies,"
directed by Miguel Perelló. He wrote and directed the film "El humo
ciega tus ojos" (The smoke blinded your eyes) and the film "Malditas
sean las mujeres" "Damn women" awarded a special mention to the script
in the Film Festival of Havana.
He has worked as a producer of the film "Affinities", directed by Jorge Perugorria and Vladimir Cruz, and "Dreaming Light" directed by Nicolas Caesar. Placencia has written several plays including "Panuco" which premiered at the Teatro Alvear in Buenos Aires.
He has been a professor of scriptwriting and film director at the University of Alcala de Henares, in the European University of Madrid, University of Granada, Malaga University and the University of Valencia. In addition he has written numerous television series of great success in Spain and Argentina.
During the last five years, he has worked as a script analyst for several Spanish and Latin American films. In February 2013 he published his new novel, "Black Harvest". Currently he is working as writer and director "Near death experience" and as Production Manager of the second unit in Argentina of El Secreto del Retrato, "The Portraits' Secret".
