Serge Merlin was born on 29 December 1932 in Sainte-Barbe-du-Tlélat (now Oued Tlelat), French Algeria. He was an actor, known for Amélie (2001), The City of Lost Children (1995) and Danton (1983). He died on 16 February 2019 in Paris, France.
