With more than 300 recordings to his credit, Neville Marriner is one of the most prolific recording maestros in history. He has recorded Mozart's music in his native London with the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the chamber orchestra he founded and organized thirty-eight years ago. Since then, he has established what Time magazine has called"an international reputation for lively, graceful, intelligently shaped performances, especially of the baroque composers, and Mozart. Mr. Marriner has recorded for CBS, Argo, EMI, Phillips, and Polygram. He has conducted Lisbon's Gulbenkian Orchestra, Sydney's Australian Chamber Orchestra, and the New York Chamber Orchestra.
