He was a director and producer, known for Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), Jagged Edge (1985) and Nowhere to Run (1993). He was married to Carol Bell and Josephine Marquand. Can be seen on the April 2004 Region 1 DVD release of A Room with a View (1985). On disc two there is a BBC obituary piece from a July 1970, broadcast just after E.M. Forster's death entitled 'E.M. Forster Remembered'. In it, Marquand is interviewed about meeting Forster while a student at Cambridge.
