    The son of an Italian-American shoemaker and amateur actor. Graduated in commercial art from Kent State University, Ohio. From the early 1960's, became a regular performer on the London stage and in British television shows. This included many guest spots on popular series such as "The Prisoner" and "Department S", as well as a recurring part in the satirical "That Was the Week That Was" (which he landed on the strength of a performance in "The Premise" at the Comedy Theatre in the West End).
