Starring Reba McEntire, the popular comedy’s premiere episode has drawn in 17.6 million viewers since its premiere on October 18, 2024. The network reports the workplace comedy’s increased its Friday nights at 8pm Et/Pt viewership year-over-year by 54%.

The season one cast includes Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. NBC hasn’t confirmed if all series regulars will return for the second season, nor have they announced the number of season two episodes. In November, NBC upped the season one order by five, bringing the total to 18 episodes. The renewal announcement was released with four new episodes to go in the first season.

Christopher Rich, who played Reba McEntire’s ex-husband Brock on all six seasons of The WB’s Reba, is guest-starring in an upcoming episode of the country star’s new comedy, TVLine has confirmed. This will also reunite Rich with Happy’s Place series regular Melissa Peterman, who played Rich’s new wife Barbra Jean on Reba.

“Happy’s Place” has brought on Justina Machado and Christopher Rich as guest stars, Variety has learned exclusively.

The role will mark a reunion between Rich and “Happy’s Place” star Reba McEntire, as the two previously starred in McEntire’s hit self-titled sitcom “Reba” across its six-season run.

Rich will play Maverick, described as “a local tattoo artist that is very good at his job … as long as he’s using his right hand. Turns out Maverick has had a stroke and likes to tease new clients about which hand he’s going to use when he starts doing their tattoos.”

Machado will appear as Maritza, the mother of Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Maritza is said to be “a self-made woman who put herself through law school as a single mom. She started a wildly successful law practice and does not suffer fools.”

A fan favorite character from Young Sheldon is confirmed to appear in the new spinoff series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. After debuting on CBS in October, the new series is currently on its winter hiatus.

In a recent post on Instagram, actor Doc Farrow shared an image of himself on the set of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Farrow previously played Coach Wilkins in Young Sheldon, and a sign made for his character on the set of the spinoff confirms the character will appear in the back half of Season 1. In ther caption of his post, Farrow noted, "5 guesses where I am this week...? Grateful and blessed to be asked back." Fans can see the post below.
