In 2001, the world was introduced to a single mom who works two jobs, who loves her kids and never stops, when The WB unleashed the power of Reba. For six seasons, audiences followed along with the titular character, played by country music legend Reba McEntire, as she navigated the ups and downs of life after discovering that her husband had been carrying on an affair with a much younger woman. McEntire commanded the stage of the sitcom, but was assisted in doing so by a dynamite ensemble who each helped the show become the massive success that it was.
Now, more than a decade later, while we may not be getting a Reba reboot, fans were thrilled when McEntire and numerous members of the supporting cast reunited for a completely different series, Happy’s Place. Leaving its first season behind with glowing reviews and viewership numbers, the title has nothing but...

If there has been one breath of fresh air in terms of story this year, it’s been Happy’s Place. The new Reba McEntire series has brought us laughter, hope, and love. There is some bad news about tonight, though. There isn’t a new episode airing on Friday, March 28.
In fact, there’s even some worse news. There won’t be a new episode for the rest of the TV season. Happy’s Place has wrapped its first season, and now it’s on a break.
Happy’s Place has been renewed for a second season

Happy’s Place co-creator, Kevin Abbott, is a fan of a good old-fashioned slow burn. During the first season, which celebrated its finale on Friday, audiences watched as Reba McEntire’s Bobbie moved back to Knoxville, Tennessee to take over the titular bar that she inherited from her father. There were plenty of surprises along the way for Bobbie — the main one being her first meeting with a much younger half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) who she didn’t know about.
As Bobbie settled into her new life, it certainly seemed like a relationship was beginning to blossom between her and the bar’s cook, Emmett (Rex Linn). But, now that we’ve seen the Season 1 finale, we can officially say that — despite the shipping of fans — Bobbie and Emmett didn’t take that plunge towards romance. However, Abbott is here to tell audiences not to fear and that it’s all in...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 18, “Alarm Bells.”] Happy’s Place may be ending for the season, but it’s going out with a bang of sorts as the finale installment, “Alarm Bells,” sets the stage for romance between Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and the titular bar’s in-house cook, Emmett (Rex Linn). As a real-life couple, McEntire and Linn certainly have the right chemistry to make this pairing work, and while Bobbie’s sister Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) encourages the arrangement, the rest of the Happy’s Place team works against it, claiming at first that Bobbie and Emmett could never be a thing before admitting the duo are definitely into each other. The fear is that allowing Bobbie and Emmett to get together, could upset the balance of the team’s metaphorical ecosystem. But what sparks the debate, to begin with? When security concerns are raised at Bobbie and Isabella’s place, Emmett...

Though he didn’t give #Bemmett fans everything they’ve been asking for, series co-creator Kevin Abbott is hopeful that they’ll want to keep a tab open at Happy’s Place.
Friday’s Season 1 finale stopped short of having head chef Emmett ask tavern owner Bobbie out on a proper date, but it did set the stage for their inevitable Season 2 romance. That’s one of several storylines already on tap for the NBC sitcom’s 18-episode sophomore run, which also promises to pick up the pace on Gabby’s journey into motherhood… and maybe even introduce her wackadoo parents.

NBC will keep its tab open at Happy’s Place.
The network has renewed Happy’s Place, its multi-camera sitcom starring Reba McEntire, for a second season. The series joins fellow first-year comedy St. Denis Medical in NBC’s lineup for 2025-26.
The renewal doesn’t come as a big surprise: NBC gave the show a vote of confidence in November with an order for five additional episodes, bringing its total for the season to 18.
Happy’s Place has performed consistently well for the network in its Friday-night spot so far this season. It averages 3.38 million same-day viewers, a 54 percent improvement year to year, and adds about 1.3 million more with a week of delayed viewing (not including streaming). Figures for the show’s performance on Peacock aren’t available, but NBC says it’s the streamer’s second-biggest comedy debut ever, behind St. Denis Medical. Happy’s Place is one of the current hits on NBC right now, and that’s not surprising with Reba McEntire in the lead. Pablo Castelblanco stars as Steve in the series, and we chatted with him about the series and working with some amazing actresses in Hollywood.
Steve is the lovable man who struggles with Ocd. This is one of those conditions that is often used for comedic relief only, but Happy’s Place does something different. As someone who also has Ocd, it was such a relief to see it being touched on in an empathetic way. I chatted with Castleblanco about that, along with just how salty I still am about the Alaska Daily cancellation.

Happy’s Place has changed casting before a character’s arrival on the NBC series. Emma Kenney is joining the series as the daughter of Reba McEntire’s character, Bobbie. She is replacing the previously cast Elizabeth Alderfer.
McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn star in the sitcom, which follows a woman (McEntire) who has inherited her father’s bar after his death only to learn she is now running it with a half-sister (Escobedo) she never knew she had.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will continue bringing in characters from Young Sheldon, and this time, it will feature the prequel's most underrated player. Forced to end because of The Big Bang Theory's timeline, the Young Sheldon finale was capped off with Sheldon's move to California. However, his family's story in Texas continues, particularly for Georgie and Mandy, as they navigate their new life with the McAllisters. Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 1 has already had Young Sheldon cameos, and it's about to add one more once it returns from its mandatory winter hiatus.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Doc Farrow reveals that he will reprise his role as Coach Wilkins in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The image doesn't reveal anything about how he fits into Georgie and Mandy's new life, but in the caption, he expresses his excitement and gratitude for the chance to revisit his role in Young Sheldon.

It’s that time of year where a lot of shows go on their winter breaks. Happy’s Place has now aired its last episode of 2024, but there is some good news.
That’s right; there are no more new episodes of Happy’s Place in 2024. In a little bit of good news, there is a rerun on Friday, Dec. 20. This certainly suggests that NBC is happy with the series and wants to keep people tuning in. The episode will follow the airing of Shrek the Halls on the network.
What about the return date, though? We have some great news about that.
Why is Happy’s Place now on a break?
If NBC is happy enough with the show to put on reruns, why is the show taking a break? Well, this is just the time of year. All broadcast networks put a hold on new episodes of their shows this time of year,...
