He acted in Oscar Wilde's play, "Lady Windermere's Fan", at the Phoenix Theatre in London, England with Coral Browne, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Isabel Jeans, Juliet Mills and Corin Redgrave in the cast. Sir Anthony Quayle CBE was the director. Sir Cecil Beaton was the designer.

Ronald Lewis was a Welsh actor kept busy in British films throughout the 1950s. In the 1960s, however, his career slackened off appreciably, and the situation got worse in the 1970s. He was declared bankrupt in 1981 and committed suicide by means of a barbiturate overdose in January 1982.
