Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, and other Glee cast members have reunited to add their voices to a previously unreleased song by their late costar, Naya Rivera.
Prayers for the Broken was recorded by Rivera in 2012. New background vocals have been added by McHale, Ushkowitz, Riley, Heather Morris, Vanessa Lengies, and Ashley Fink.
The song is now available online for download, streaming, or purchase, released as part of nonprofit Alexandria House’s annual Snixxmas Charity Fundraiser honoring Rivera, who was a supporter of the Los Angeles-based charity. The organization provides safe and supportive housing for women and children.
“We hope that ‘Prayer for the Broken’ brings you the same comfort it has brought us over the years — a poignant reminder of Naya’s otherworldly talent and a heartfelt gift, allowing us to hear her once more through this inspiring message,” the organization wrote on its website.

There's no doubt how entertainment can affect us. It can be moving and thrilling and take us places we never imagined we go.
It can also bring us together through shared experiences.
Sometimes, it does a little of everything, as I discovered during a recent interview with Corey Sevier about his Christmas in July movie airing tonight, Take Me Back for Christmas.
This is a movie very close to Sevier's heart, as his wife Kate Pragnell wrote the script, and he directed the film.
He also costars with Vanessa Lengies, who starred alongside him in another Hallmark movie, Heart of the Holidays, and whom he had known since he was ten, having met when he starred on Lassie.
I've always been a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies that do the unexpected, and Lengies stars in the movie as Renee, who always dreamed of owning her own business. But when her mother got sick,...

In preparing for his eponymous starring role in “Turner & Hooch,” Josh Peck got the Manny Pacquiao treatment.
“I did physical fight training with Justin Fortune, who trains Manny Pacquiao. If someone drops out of the next Logan Paul fight, maybe I’ll hop in,” Peck told Variety at the Disney Plus series premiere event on Thursday.
Taking place at Westfield Century City, the pooch-filled premiere event featured set pieces from the show and dog-friendly “Puptails,” including the “Muttjito” (beef bone broth garnished with mint) and the “Blueberry Pawtini” (turkey bone broth garnished with duck jerky and a blueberry).
In “Turner & Hooch,” based on the Tom Hanks film from 1989, Peck plays Hanks’ character’s son, also named Scott Turner. A U.S. Marshal looking to advance his career, Turner finds his life turned upside down by an oversized, slobbering dog named Hooch.
“Tom Hanks is the goal, right?” Peck said.

2006 was a golden year for young adult films: “Step Up,” “She’s the Man” and “John Tucker Must Die” to name a few. There was also “Stick It” starring Missy Peregrym as Haley Graham, a young gymnast rebelling against the sport and all it stands for as she recovers from how it traumatized her family. Today, “Stick It” turns 15 years old.
The film was directed by Jessica Bendinger, who was just coming off of writing “Bring It On.” Much like that movie, “Stick It” was cheeky and lovable, and over the years has carved out it’s own spot in the hearts of millennials. These days, you can watch Missy Peregrym still kicking butt, this time as an FBI agent in CBS’ “FBI,” but she still remembers playing Haley Graham quite clearly.

Unfortunately, her career has been kind of up and down since she’s been given some impressive roles and she’s done just fine, but then she’s kind of disappeared now and again as she goes back and forth between the movies and TV appearances. Immortality, the idea that man can live forever, has often bee touched upon by cinema – oftentimes the consequences of which never turn out the way people want. Oftentimes the exact opposite; a bright future without fear of death changing personalities, changing perspectives on the human condition. But their are always consequences. Exclusive: Anthony Ruivivar (The Haunting of Hill House), Brandon Jay McLaren (The Twilight Zone), and Jeremy Maguire (Modern Family) are set as series regulars and Becca Tobin (Glee) will recur in Turner & Hooch, Disney+’s reboot of the classic 1989 buddy-cop comedy feature. The TV series, which has a 12-episode order, comes from Matt Nix and 20th TV. The four join previously cast Josh Peck, Lyndsy Fonseca, Carra Patterson and Vanessa Lengies.
Like the movie, the hourlong series centers on Scott Turner (Peck), who now is a U.S. marshal — versus the police detective played by Tom Hanks in the movie. When the ambitious, buttoned-up marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the pet he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.
Ruivivar will play US Marshall Chief James Clark, Scott Turner’s boss. Chief Clark respects Scott, but is very uncomfortable around Scott’s new dog,...

"What do you think it says about us as a society that the bad guys are always more fun?" Different Duck Films has released an official trailer for an indie horror-thriller anthology film called Immortal, which premiered at the Screamfest Horror Festival last year. It's written, directed and produced by Rob Margolies, featuring a star-studded cast headlined by Tony Todd, Dylan Baker, Robin Bartlett, Samm Levine, Vanessa Lengies, and Agnes Bruckner. "Thrown into the face of death only to emerge unharmed, the characters of Immortal are left staring at eternity in the face with uncertainty and fear like they've never imagined." A chilling horror anthology film told in four chapters, Immortal boasts career-best performances from a cast that also includes Mario Van Peebles, Lindsay Mushett, and Jason Stuart. Yes this has a solid cast, but the segments seem quite derivative - stories about immortality, another game of hunt-or-be-hunted in the woods,...

Exclusive: Glee alumna Vanessa Lengies has been cast as a series regular opposite Josh Peck in Turner & Hooch, Disney+’s reboot of the classic 1989 buddy-cop comedy feature. The TV series, which has a 12-episode order, comes from Matt Nix and 20th Century Fox TV.

Lengies will play Erica, the chief trainer at the Us Marshal K-9 facility. When she’s with a dog, her cute awkwardness disappears and she is a natural leader. Erica is less comfortable with people, especially cute guys like Scott Turner (Peck), who is oblivious to Erica’s interest in him.

Have you been naughty or nice?
A Date By Christmas Eve was another adorable holiday movie that brought a little bit of magic into your life. We can all use some of that sometimes.
Fortunately, magic wasn't necessary to bring Chelsea and Fisher together. A little bit of honesty did the trick.
A Date By Christmas Eve is a decent title, but the original A Good List for Christmas was more suitable given the content.
It had an ongoing theme of "lists," from the company Chelsea worked for "The Good List" to the dating app she worked on, and of course, the appearance of Mrs. Kringle and her book of the good and naughty.
The date by Christmas Eve portion of the movie didn't exactly fit with the material. I'm assuming it referred to either Fisher bringing Chelsea to his family's home for the holidays or him showing up at her launch party.
