David directed Atomic Blonde (2017) starring Charlize Theron. David also directed the box office smash and critically acclaimed Deadpool 2 (2018). He is also the director of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019).

- On the martial arts circuit, he met Chad Stahelski, who was living in LA, starting his career as a stuntman.
- Martial artist, skilled in several arts such as: Muay Thai, Shootwrestling, boxing, wrestling, movie fights, and was a national competitor in Kickboxing.
- Leitch's passion for martial arts came at a young age, watching Kung Fu Theater. Having no martial arts schools in Kohler, Wisconsin, Leitc fed his obsession with books and magazines. Training himself in the garage, and then finally finding classes at the Dan Inosanto academy while studying at the University of Minnesota.
