- Harry Landers was born on September 3, 1921 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and director, known for Ben Casey (1961), Star Trek (1966) and Phantom from Space (1953). He was married to Jeanne Vaughn. He died on September 9, 2017 in Woodland Hills, California, USA.

- Began as a labourer at Warner Brothers in the 1940s. While there, contract star Bette Davis, having learned about Landers' heroic exploits while in the merchant marine, arranged for him to get his SAG card and personally paid his initiation fee into the union. He was thus able to gain entry to film acting as an extra.
- Worked for three month on De Mille's The Ten Commandments, being paid $200 a day, six days a week, plus constant overtime at $250 a day. According to his interview at Sherman Oaks, California, on April 30, 2010, he made more money from the picture than either John Carradine or Vincent Price.
- Studied drama at the Actor's Lab (tutored by Stella Adler), a left-wing theater group, many of whose members were blacklisted during the McCarthy era.
