Once a photographer from Chicago, Jim "J.W" Kompare moved to Los Angeles with nothing nothing but a dream. He started his career as an assistant editor on such hit films as "Big Trouble in Little China". His contributions were recognized and he soon became a lead visual effects editor on quite a few star studded films in the 90's. Since then, he has gone quiet and seems to have retired from filmmaking.
