- Willy A. Kleinau was born on November 12, 1907 in Mühlhausen, Germany. He was an actor, known for The Blue Swords (1949), Zar und Zimmermann (1956) and The Axe of Wandsbek (1950). He died on October 18, 1957 in Merseburg, East Germany.
- German character actor, trained under Louise Dumont, on stage from 1932. Member of the Berliner Ensemble and the Deutsches Theater Ostberlin. Appeared in both West German and Defa films during the 1950's, noted for his versatility in diverse characterisations, ranging from sentimental to brutal, from comedic to cynical. Died from the consequences of a car crash.
