Actress Jaime King Speaks Out About Losing Custody Of Kids & Being Evicted From Home

On Monday, actress Jaime King commented on the reports that she was sued by her landlord for overdue rent and lost custody of her children after failing to complete a six-month rehab program.

She asserted that at the top of her list of concerns was her children – and not about her housing problems.

On March 17, it was revealed by court documents that King’s ex, Kyle Newman, was granted sole physical custody of their two sons, James, 11, and Leo, 9. King and Newman will share legal custody, but Newman will now have “tie-breaking authority.”

Taylor Swift No Longer on Speaking Terms With Jaime King Amid Eviction, Custody Drama

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Last week, we reported on the increasingly sad situation involving model and actress Jaime King.

King has reportedly lost primary custody of her two children due to her failure to complete a six-month drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in accordance with court orders.

That was followed by more bad news for Jaime, as the troubled star is reportedly being evicted from her rental home.

Jaime is obviously not as in-demand as she used to be in Hollywood, but her plight has been making headlines thanks in large part to her connection to the most famous woman on the planet.

Quick LinksMy Bloody Valentine Reinvented the OriginalThe Good Performances Made Up For Bad WritingIt's One of the Best Cheesy Slashers of the '00sThe Film Still Holds Up as a Ridiculous Holiday Watch

For this Valentine's Day season, the new slasher movie Heart Eyes hit theaters a week before the holiday. This plot focuses on a masked killer who comes out on the day of love to stalk and murder happy couples. This seems like a cheesy but appropriate slasher concept for the romantic holiday that often doesn't have any movies associated with it that aren't rom-coms or dramas. Though there are a handful of horror movies that have a romantic subplot or theme, this is one of the only frightening movies dedicated to the holiday of love.

However, the recently released 2025 horror movie isn't the only notable title associated with Valentine's Day. There is a 2000s slasher movie, My Bloody Valentine 3D,...

Justin Hartley's 10 Best Movies And TV Shows
Image
Justin Hartley got his big break in television in the early 2000s and has spent most of his career on TV, which might be why many of his best movies and TV shows have not been in theaters. Hartley has found a home for himself in roles where he gets to more thoroughly explore characters in a serial format, having long runs on several television shows, even those where he is not a series regular.

Today, Hartley stars in the TV series Tracker and has more movies on the way, but his first foray into Hollywood was in a now-canceled soap opera. The soap opera grind likely prepared him for so much of his work. He has guest starred in everything from crime procedurals to modern dramas, and has been part of some large ensembles in critically acclaimed series. ‘Nightbitch’ Review: Motherhood Gets a Brilliant Amy Adams Barking Mad in a Satire That Promises Ferociousness but Pulls Too Many Punches
Image
When you have a title with the blunt-force impact of Nightbitch and a premise as seemingly outrageous as a woman who responds to the isolation, alienation and self-sacrifice of motherhood by turning canine, you don’t want a movie that holds back. But Marielle Heller’s adaptation of the 2021 Rachel Yoder novel, while it starts out promisingly with sharp humor and tantalizing jabs of incipient weirdness, doesn’t take its ideas far enough to be seriously provocative. That’s too bad for Amy Adams, who runs with everything the story throws at her but gets shortchanged by the script.

It’s hardly a radical revelation at this point that not every housewife and mother is June Cleaver, no matter what regressive world J.D. Vance wants to live in. But it’s disappointing that a book greeted as a feminist fairy tale, which dared to say out loud some dark truths...

Halloween (1978)
Blumhouse plans on rebooting the My Bloody Valentine franchise
Halloween (1978)
The company behind reboots of horror classics like Halloween and The Exorcist is reportedly moving forward on a reboot of the 1981 Canadian slasher film My Bloody Valentine, according to a Bloody Disgusting exclusive.

Directed by George Mihalka and written by John Beaird, My Bloody Valentine received mixed reviews from critics upon its initial release but has since garnered a devoted cult following, enough to warrant a remake in 2009 that starred Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, and Kerr Smith.

Surprisingly, though, My Bloody Valentine is one horror IP that hasn't been revisited time and time again...until now. Blumhouse aims to change that and revive the killer pickaxe-wielding miner who murders for a new movie.

Despite the news from Bloody Disgusting, little is known about the potential reboot except that Blumhouse is interested in making it.

Who knows? Maybe this will be the next big horror franchise. It has always been surprising...
