Jamie Neumann is on the campaign trail in the new Collider-exclusive trailer for the political drama Thirsty. Tubi has acquired the romantic comedy “Worth the Wait.”

Directed by Tom Shu-Yu Lin (“Yen and Ai-Lee” and “The Garden of Evening Mists”), the film stars Lana Condor (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”), Andrew Koji (“Black Doves”), Ross Butler (“13 Reasons Why”), Sung Kang (“Fast & Furious”), Elodie Yung (“The Cleaning Lady”) and more.

The film follows a group of strangers whose lives fatefully intertwine as they navigate budding love, confront profound loss and encounter old flames. Karena Lam makes her U.S. and English-language debut (“July Rhapsody”) as Osric Chau (“Supernatural”), Ali Fumiko Whitney (“Find Me Falling”), Ricky He (“From”), Kheng Hua Tan (“Crazy Rich Asians”) and Yu-Beng Lim (“Rebel Moon”) round out the cast.

One of action-film legend Sylvester Stallone's less heralded movies is getting a new home. Very soon, the 2012 film, Bullet to the Head, will be heading to a free streaming service.

Bullet to the Head is set to debut via Tubi on Feb. 16, allowing fans to see the hard-hitting action flick without charge. A lawsuit has been filed that alleges Showtime and Lionsgate's hit television series Yellowjackets ripped off the 2015 film Eden. The complaint says that the two works are "in most respects... identical."

According to Entertainment Weekly, a complaint was filed in California federal court on Friday by plaintiff Eden Film Production LLC claiming that Showtime's Yellowjackets is "substantially similar" to the Eden film and has violated its copyright enough to merit litigation. Showtime, Lionsgate, Yellowjacket series creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and two production companies were named in the complaint as defendants.

It is almost fitting that George Huang’s Weekend in Taipei comes out nearly 30 years after his razor-sharp and ruthless black comedy, Swimming with the Sharks. You just have to wonder what took his son so long to make another movie. That biting, back-stabbing comedy still holds up and showcases the talents of a filmmaker who can embed comedy within any genre.

I mention this because Weekend in Taipei is a comedy wrapped in an action film. This doesn’t mean the movie’s tone is uneven or unsure of itself—far from it. While Huang’s script occasionally stumbles into a few tropes, like Luc Besson’s mysterious character arc or a Parent Trap-esque subplot, the experience is refreshing, super cool, funny, and ultimately one hell of a ride.

In Weekend at Taipei, a former DEA agent and an ex-undercover operative rekindle their romance during a weekend in Taipei. As they reconnect, they're oblivious to the looming dangers stemming from their past operations.

Some of the best action films take us around the world and use the beauty of international locations to complement the eloquence (or grittiness) or their fight choreography. A new film from director George Huang (Swimming With Sharks) takes us across the world to Taiwan but features some action stars you'll instantly recognize from one of the most successful American action franchises. Famed actors Luke Evans and Sung Kang previously co-starred in multiple Fast & Furious films, but in Weekend in Taipei out this week they're not exactly portraying allies.

Evans plays John, a disgruntled DEA agent who refuses to quit a job that ultimately reconnects him with the long-lost Taiwan-set family he once left behind, while Kang plays Kwang, the villainous career criminal who has since taken John's family under his wing. MovieWeb recently caught up with the cast to learn more about the thrills of tackling their respective roles.

Perhaps the most unexpected thing about Weekend in Taipei is its humor. I went into the film knowing there would be a lot of action, a sprinkling of romance, and a family plot, but the comedy sometimes through dialogue and sometimes situational took me by surprise. Immediately I knew this was a film that wasnt about to take itself so seriously, and I could get on board with that. Directed by George Huang from a screenplay by him and Luc Besson, Weekend in Taipei isnt without its faults, but its charming, well-shot, thrilling, and, above all, entertaining.

In his latest Asia-centered effort, Weekend in Taipei, he shows off his impressive physique to pummel an endless line of villains as a rogue DEA agent out for blood as he protects his makeshift family of sorts. Action-movie diehards will also remember Evans from multiple films in the Fast & Furious franchise as Owen Shaw, brother to Jason Statham's beloved character. Despite being bros, the two actors never really spent time together off-screen.

Evans noted in a recent MovieWeb interview that he did not, in fact, spend any time preparing with co-star Statham to ensure that they would authentically portray brothers on the big screen. "But Jason's great, and he's fun, and he's a nice human being. I enjoy being on set with him.
