AMC Networks has released a gripping new trailer for the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, and it’s clear that the battle for survival in a crumbling Manhattan is far from over.

Season 2 is officially set to premiere in a few months on Sunday, May 4th at 9:00 p.m. Et on AMC and AMC+, with more brutal showdowns, power struggles, and character clashes on the horizon.

Returning to their fan-favorite roles, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan reprise their portrayals of Negan and Maggie, two characters whose fraught alliance continues to unravel. While the undead still pose a deadly threat, the bigger danger this season might be each other. With tension rising and trust wearing thin, the two find themselves caught in a power play that could reshape the future of the island.

The trailer opens with an eerie cover of “Manhattan” by Rodgers & Hart, setting a haunting tone.

J.J. Abrams (“The Force Awakens”) and showrunner Latoya Morgan’s (“Shameless”) new series “Duster” will debut May 15, with the first official trailer teasing an increasingly dangerous crime syndicate.

Starring Josh Holloway (“Lost”), Rachel Hilson and Keith David (“The Thing”), “Duster” is set in the 1970s Southwest as a getaway driver gets entangled in a crime network that is threatened by the arrival of a young agent in town. Hilson stars as the first Black female FBI agent.

“Duster” was produced in association with Warner Bros. Television, with the eight episodes dropping weekly through the finale on July 3. The first two episodes are written by Abrams and Morgan, with Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich executive producing for Bad Robot while Morgan executive produces for TinkerToy Productions.

Fans of The Walking Dead: Dead City were greeted with a post-apocalyptic treat today as AMC Networks released the first trailer for the upcoming second season. It'll be almost two years since the first season premiered in June 2023 when Season 2 makes its debut, so this wait is long overdue to see the return of Maggie and Negan.

Dead City Season 2 will continue the evolving work to control New York City between Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they have to deal with villains that include the dead and other conflicts that have made the city their haven of anarchy. This show takes us back to a crumbling Manhattan, cut off from the rest of the world. Lauren Cohan stars as Maggie, a tough survivor we know from the original ‘The Walking Dead’.

Black Hawk Down, Ridley Scott's modern war thriller starring Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, and a whole cavalcade of great actors, has found a new streaming home. As of March 1, fans of the war genre have been able to stream the gritty and realistic movie on Netflix. The flagship series lasted for 11 seasons and gave birth to several spin-offs, including Dead City, which serves as a direct sequel to the main saga. Premiering in 2023, fans were reunited with Maggie (Lauren Cohen) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they navigated a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, and now they're back for a second season, which officially returns to AMC on May 4, 2025.

The news came yesterday during IGN Fan Fest, and on hand to discuss the upcoming season were Morgan and Cohen – who also serve as executive producers – and Scott Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead universe at AMC. While Season 1 of Dead City had a clear antagonist by way of Željko Ivanek as The Croat, that isn't the case in Season 2, which Gimple said has a lot going on in it.
