Shooting in Northern Minnesota, the film written by Clint Elliott follows a small-town police chief as he embarks on a hunt for a serial killer, aided by a psychic, all while trying to steer clear of suspicion himself.

Mitchel Musso, who played Oliver Oken on “Hannah Montana,” has been arrested in his Texas hometown on charges of public intoxication and theft after police say he refused to pay for a bag of chips.

On Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance at a hotel located in the 2600 Block of Lakefront Trail in Rockwall, Texas, around 7:15 p.m., according to an official police statement.

“Upon arrival, officers contacted the complainant who advised an individual who appeared intoxicated entered the hotel, selected a bag of chips and began eating them,” the statement said.

The 32-year-old actor “became verbally abusive and left without rendering payment,” police for the suburb east of Dallas said. He was taken into custody after he “demonstrated signs of intoxication.”

Hayley Kiyoko is giving us a blast from the past! On Saturday, the 28-year-old singer revisited her Lemonade Mouth days by singing an acoustic version "Determinate" on TikTok. The track is from the 2011 Disney Channel film, which also starred Bridgit Mendler, Naomi Scott, Blake Michael, and Adam Hicks. Former Disney star Adam Hicks was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of committing a string of early-morning armed robberies on Wednesday in Burbank, California, People confirms.

The 25-year-old actor, who most recently starred in the Hulu series Freakish, was taken into custody later on Wednesday along with 23-year-old Danni Tamburo, according to a release from the Burbank Police Department.

Tamburo is reportedly Hicks’ girlfriend.

Here are three things to know about the case and about the suspects.

Police said the suspected robberies began Wednesday morning with a 52-year-old man who was walking in the Burbank area about 5:15 a.

The makers of an indigenous sci-fi film has secured three VFX houses to complete the post production.

Written and produced by Josh Bryer of M&C Saatchi, the film Kindred was shot in December in Sydney’s Blue Mountains and will call on Digital Pulse, Heckler and ZSpace to finish the project.

Three of Australia’s leading film VFX houses, Digital Pulse, Heckler and ZSpace, have teamed up to work on the visual effects for the Australian sci-fi short film, Kindred.

The M&C Saatchi-backed short film is written and produced by Josh Bryer and co-produced by Annie Kinnane, with first-time film director Oscar Nicholson supported by a wealth of Sydney’s best post production talent. Produced in association with Altaire Productions, Kindred is the first sci-fi to star indigenous Australians. Kindred was filmed in December 2012, on location in Sydney’s Blue Mountains and in a studio with a custom built green-screen set.

"I’m from East Las Vegas, and grew up there. In my elementary school I took a couple of classes and was always involved in drama. The guy who taught my drama class had a radio station where he would announce auditions on the air. So when I was about 7 or 8, I went down to the MGM Grand and did this 5 second commercial audition and was picked by 3 or 4 local agents for representation. I chose one and started going out on local auditions."

But Adam’s path to success in film and television was not short.

Adam Hicks is happily addicted to entertaining. The 18 year-old actor, who plays the awkward and quirky Luther Waffles in the Disney Xd hit series Zeke and Luther (TV), has been at it for eleven years - and he's just getting started. As an actor, rapper, musician, and songwriter, the Las Vegas native admits that his love for entertaining began at an early age, and he has since appeared in several TV shows, commercials, and films such as Jonas L.A. (TV), The Shaggy Dog (2006), Mostly Ghostly (2008), and How to Eat Fried Worms (2006). HollywoodLife.com chatted with ‘Lemonade Mouth’ star Adam Hicks and learned six new things about the 18-year-old triple threat!

Playing Wen in the Disney Channel original movie Lemonade Mouth, Adam Hick‘s acting and rapping talents are obvious, but did you know he’s a songwriter, too? The Las Vegas native wrote three original songs for the movie and recently signed with Hollywood Records. HollywoodLife.com caught up with Adam about his start as an entertainer (he started rapping in elementary school!), what he does every night before bed and where he wants to take his career. Adam’s songwriting is a Disney-first: “There’s a write-up that pretty much says that I’m the only Disney kid to write in any movie so that was awesome.” His first fans were his elementary-school classmates: “My fourth-grade talent show, I did this rap in front of the whole school.

Bridgit Mendler was on her way to work when we spoke and we imagine that's her story most of the time. This busy 18-year-old is juggling several projects right now ranging from her role on Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie," a newly signed record deal with Hollywood Records, and promoting the No. 1 cable movie of the year, "Lemonade Mouth." 

"We're all ecstatic at how well it's been doing," Mendler tells Zap2it of the movie's success. "I think it's definitely a great surprise that people are responding to it well. It's good quality music, so I'm happy that people are responding to it nicely."

"Lemonade Mouth" follows a group of kids who meet in detention and then form a band that becomes the voice for themselves and their classmates who don't fit into the typically popular mold.

On Getting Cast in Lemonade Mouth...

The cast/rockers of The Disney Channel original film "Lemonade Mouth" are basking in the wild success of not only the movie, but the music itself.

Since the movie's April 15th release on The Disney Channel, the film has become cable's No. 1 original movie of 2011 and has reached over 20 million total viewers. The soundtrack recently hit No. 1 on iTunes and No. 4 on the Billboard 200 top album chart, ranking right up there with Adele, "Glee" and Foo Fighters. Not bad company to be in.

Zap2it spoke with the cast of "Lemonade Mouth" including Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko, Blake Michael, Nick Roux and Chris Brochu, as they prepared to meet with fans and sign some autographs at Downtown Disney Event on Monday (May 2).

So with the roaring success of what we hope becomes a franchise for the Mouse House, is there a sequel in the works?

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Adam Hicks (Zeke and Luther), Corbin Bleu (High School Musical), Katerina Graham (Vampire Diaries), Penny Marshall and many others will attend Children Mending Hearts’ 4th annual Please Mr President Workshop in Los Angeles on May 7.

Children Mending Hearts, a national non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, will host its 4th Annual Please Mr. President Workshop, a campaign designed to empower at-risk kids across the nation through creative expression. During this day-long event, children will write letters to President Barack Obama imploring him to pay attention to the realities of America’s homeless youth. Attendees will also dance, have the chance to participate in photography workshops and create artwork that will be sent to children living in Haiti and Japan in an effort to give each child a voice and sense of global community. Additionally, jewelry-making workshops will be available to at-risk mothers who attend the event.

What do you get when you take five high school kids in detention and form a band? No, not Breakfast Club 2, but Disney Channel's latest original movie, Lemonade Mouth.
