David Hemblen was a British actor. Born in London, England in 1941, Hemblen grew up in Toronto where he studied theatre. He received an M.A. in English and worked in many theatre productions; active in the television, film and theater, he had taken part in several Canadian television series during his career such as Earth: Final Conflict (1997), A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2001) and La Femme Nikita (1997), and also in many US films as Maximum Risk (1996), The Sweet Hereafter (1997), Where the Truth Lies (2005) , Speaking Parts (1989), and Family Viewing (1987). Hemblen lived in Toronto with his two dogs and made an annual winter visit to his second home in the south of France. He has one daughter, Kate, who is also an actress, and two grandchildren.
