Biography

    • Hasak was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and the U.S. Hasak worked as a journalist before coming to Hollywood and writing for television and film.

Hasak wrote the "Shades of Blue" pilot on spec. After Jennifer Lopez and Barry Levinson became attached, the project was green lit straight to series by NBC. Hasak also wrote "Killer Elite," which was the original pilot for "Generation Kill."

Hasak most recently set up another straight-to-series order for "Eyewitness," a Norwegian format that will air on USA with Hasak serving as executive producer/showrunner. Hasak's next TV project is an American adaptation of "Black Widows," a Finnish format produced by Moskito Television and Nice Entertainment Finland.

In addition, Hasak is a frequent collaborator with Luc Besson. They have jointly written and produced "3 Days to Kill," starring Kevin Costner, and "From Paris With Love," starring John Travolta.
