DC Studios released the first trailer for Peacemaker season 2 earlier today (watch it here if you missed it). While the presence of Maxwell Lord, Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl is a huge talking point, the preview featuring not one, but two Peacemakers is another.

We can safely say that there's a Multiversal component at play. However, we'd imagine this has something to do with the pocket dimension we first visited in season 1, rather than being a convoluted way of explaining how Christopher Smith ends up in the Dcu.

Still, we can't discount that, and fans have spotted The Suicide Squad star Michael Rooker in the sneak peek. Is the Guardians of the Galaxy star reprising his role as Savant—the cowardly villain who had his head blown off by Amanda Waller in the 2021 movie—or playing someone else entirely?

The lengthy teaser for Peacemaker season two has DC fans geeking out over the appearances of Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), and Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) at the beginning of the trailer. The two and a half minute trailer also features new A.R.G.U.S. leader Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) and Langston Fleury (Tim Meadows), who proves he’s horrible at coming up with nicknames.

Max has set Thursday, August 21 for the Season 2 premiere of James Gunn’s Peacemaker, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television.

The streamer also released the first full trailer, which opens with John Cena’s Chris/Peacemaker being grilled by Justice League’s Green Lantern/Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders (Isabel Merced) and Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn).

“Can you tell us a little about your skills,” asks Green Lantern, to which Peacemaker/Chris replies “I’m considered the finest marksman in the world,” “Microphone is off?” we hear Hawkgirl say. According to Variety, Kevin Pollack has joined the cast of Tulsa King season 3. He is set to appear as a series regular playing Special Agent Musso. His character has been described as “an FBI agent who has an axe to grind.”

The casting news comes after the third season of Paramount+’s Tulsa King went into production in Atlanta and Oklahoma in March. Pollack is a well-respected stand-up comedian and actor. His roles include playing Moishe in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and appearing in Martin Scorsese’s Casino and A Few Good Men.

It appears that Peacemaker and company will return to White Dragon's lair, though they seem to be on the run from someone.

The second season of Tulsa King ended on November 17, 2024, with some big plot threads wrapped up and other cliffhangers dangling. In the finale, Dwight had a final showdown with nemesis Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), but let his adversary live. After Cal attempted to destroy Dwight by fixing his trial or attacking his wind farm, it was an intriguing development for the mobster to let his foe remain alive. It was also a wise decision, as the death of a prominent businessman would not have been easy to hide. Meanwhile, Dwight makes an unexpected friend out of Bill Bevilacqua (Frank Grillo), another enemy he must face.

We may not know when Tulsa King Season 3 will premiere on Paramount+, but star Sylvester Stallone is already teasing the "devious" plans to come for his popular crime drama. Premiering in 2022, Tulsa King sees Stallone as fish-out-of-water gangster Dwight "The General" Manfredi, who, after being banished from New York, takes up shop in Oklahoma to run his own crime syndicate that he starts from scratch. Tulsa King star Neal McDonough shares a new update on season 3, teasing how his villain has become even more powerful. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the hit Paramount+ series returned for season 2 last year, introducing a handful of new characters as Sylvester Stallone's Dwight "The General" Manfredi attempts to secure his criminal empire. McDonough's Cal Thresher, a major player in Oklahoma's drug trade, was one such new character, and he's now poised to return in Tulsa King season 3, which is now in production.

In a recent interview with Collider, McDonough reveals that Thresher comes back in a big way in Tulsa King season 3, now serving as the governor of Oklahoma. Although Taylor Sheridan will probably go down in history as the author of Yellowstone more than anything else, his crime drama Tulsa King has also been very successful since its 2022 debut on Paramount+.

Peacemaker star John Cena celebrates his 48th birthday as friends and fans hail the wrestler-turned-actor's latest milestone. DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn is among those giving Cena his flowers on his birthday, sharing a new behind-the-scenes image from Season 2 of the DC Universe series.

Via X (formerly Twitter), Gunn posted a photo from the set of Peacemaker Season 2 with him alongside Cena in his full costume as the titular character. While sending Cena heartfelt birthday wishes, Gunn said he is "one of the primary reasons why Peacemaker is more fun than anything in the world."

The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker director James Gunn was among those who congratulated Cena after his big win. Today, the filmmaker has celebrated his friend and frequent collaborator's 48th birthday with a new photo from the Peacemaker season 2 set.

Those of you who have pointed out that the DC Studios co-ceo has appeared in a lot of Superman promotional material likely won't be surprised to see that Gunn is also front and centre. Coincidence or part of an overall marketing strategy? It's hard to say.

Either way, this is probably our best look yet at Peacemaker's costume and helmet in the Dcu and, well, he really doesn't look all that different from when we last saw him cause chaos in the Dceu.

Per Bleeding Cool, Merced recently opened up about the experience of portraying Hawkgirl in James Gunn's upcoming Superman. "I got a taste of the super suit, which was not fun. A new Superman promotional video marked a significant first for the Dcu. The "Superman - Superman Day Behind The Scenes Look" revealed the first animation-to-live-action crossover set for the Dcu, with Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr. 

Grillo's hardened DC Comics general debuted in the Dcu first in animation in Creature Commandos before being revealed as a live-action character appearing in James Gunn's upcoming Superman film. This is the first time a Dcu character has jumped from animation to live-action, and Grillo will again play the character, just like he did in animation. 

Some characters have gone the other way in James Gunn's new super-powered universe; however, none have gone from an animated project to live-action before Grillo's Rick Flag.

To celebrate Superman Day, DC Studios has released an exciting and heartfelt new look at James Gunn's Superman. The behind-the-scenes video is filled with new footage and commentary from the cast and crew of the first DC Universe movie.

"Being a child, I loved the purity of Superman. It was a time when I was starting to understand what movies were," Gunn shared at the beginning of the video, as a couple of clips from the Christopher Reeve-led Superman are shown. Peter Safran, who co-heads DC Studios with Gunn, then opened up about the road to the new Superman, explaining that Gunn was initially unsure that he should be the one to bring the Man of Steel back to the big screen. "I had been trying to crack it for years," Gunn admitted in the video over top of new behind-the-scenes looks at Superman.

The first teaser trailer for James Gunn’s Superman was released almost four months ago, and fans are starting to get curious about when the official trailer will be revealed. Superman is less than three months out from release, which means it’s almost time for Warner Bros. and DC to ramp up promotion for what the studio is certainly hoping will be one of its biggest hits of the year. Superman fans were recently treated to five minutes of footage from the film ahead of A Minecraft Movie screenings, which has delayed the release of the next trailer. James Gunn recently took to his personal Instagram account to respond to a comment — which came under a post of his cat — asking when the next Superman trailer would be released, saying that “We just released five minutes of footage in theaters so it will be a beat!”
